Man and woman arrested over St Stephen's Day hit-and-run in which married couple were killed
Anthony Hogg and Georgina Hogg-Moore died after the hit-and-run in Blanchardstown while they were out shopping on St Stephen's Day.
Gardaí have arrested two people this morning in relation to this fatal road traffic collision.
'A man, aged 40 years was arrested in connection with this investigation and he is currently detained under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939 at a Garda station in the Dublin.
'A female, aged in her 30s was arrested and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in Dublin,' a garda spokesperson said.

Four people, including two juveniles, have been arrested after a couple in their 60s were subjected to a terrifying ordeal in their home in Co Dublin on Wednesday. Gardai have launched an investigation into an aggravated burglary which occurred at a property in Shanganagh Cliffs, Shankill at approximately 7.30pm last night. During the course of the aggravated burglary, four individuals entered the home of a couple in their 60s and assaulted and threatened the couple with a firearm. The four individuals then fled the scene in a vehicle and on an electric bike. Emergency services were called to the scene and the owner of the home, a man in his 60s, was transported to St Vincent's University Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Gardaí also responded to the incident and officers attached to Shankill Garda station conducted a search of the area. Gardaí subsequently arrested three individuals when they stopped a vehicle and a fourth individual was arrested a short distance away, who was on a electric bike. During the course of the search of the area, a semi-automatic firearm was recovered.
