A 1-year-old Australian cattle dog went viral after a shelter volunteer shared his reaction upon realizing his outdoor adventure was over and he was going back in his kennel. Little did he know that same clip would change his life.
The viral TikTok video shared in April under the username @juliesaraceno2 shows Miso, who at the time was staying at the Benton-Franklin Humane Society in Kennewick, Washington, looking sad as he realizes he is not going home yet.
"The moment shelter dog Miso realized the adventure was over and we were going back to his kennel" reads layover text in the clip.
Saraceno told Newsweek that the "very smart and sweet" puppy was found as a stray and then transferred to the shelter where he was patiently waiting for someone willing to deal with how intelligent and high-energy he is.

Thankfully, after the clip went viral, receiving over 667,000 views and more than 102,000 likes on the platform, it didn't take him long to find his very own human.
Saraceno said: "He was adopted after someone saw his shelter dog adventure video. She drove four hours from Portland just to take him home."
Adopting a pet is an incredibly rewarding experience that will give you the best friend you will ever have, but how should you go about choosing your pup?
When selecting a dog for yourself or your family, size, activity level, temperament, and breed characteristics are all factors you should consider before making your final decision, according to MSD Veterinary Manual.
Large dogs, such as golden retrievers, and active ones like Jack Russell terriers, need lots of room to run and play. Border collies must have something to do all the time or they will become bored.
Many small dog breeds require a lot of exercise and attention, and may not be able to tolerate the rough play of young children.
If you are undecided about which dog breed is best for your needs, you can speak to a veterinarian or a dog behavior expert to make a more-informed decision.
Users in the comments also fell in love with the pup's cute little face and his playful demeanor.
One user, Kel Anne, commented: "See this is why I couldn't take a dog for a day, my heart would SHATTER taking them back."
Karla_Smm added: "My heart can't take this. Please someone adopt this precious baby."
Mamastreets posted: "Aw he thought he found his forever. I am sobbing!"

Scottie Scheffler Bends Club Rules to Share Golf Moment With Son Bennett
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. After a short break, Scottie Scheffler is back in full swing to tee off at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, the first leg of the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup playoffs. The world No. 1, fresh off his fourth career major win at The Open Championship, skipped both the Wyndham Championship and the 3M Open to recharge. But on Wednesday, he returned to action at TPC Southwind, kicking off the week with a playful Instagram post. "Pausing my acting career and getting back on the course. Excited for @fedexchamp week!" Scheffler posted, giving a cheeky nod to his cameo in Netflix's 'Happy Gilmore 2,' that earned him unexpected praise. While the cameras have followed him from fairways to film sets, Scheffler's most cherished moments came during a private celebration at home. (Photo by) More Getty Images Speaking to reporters ahead of Thursday's opening round at TPC Southwind, Scheffler revealed that he hosted a party two weeks ago in Dallas to celebrate his Open win. "We had a party two weeks ago at home with some of our friends, and everybody got to drink out of it (Claret Jug). It was a lot of fun." The celebration was memorable, but what followed excited Scheffler even more. "I brought it up to Royal Oaks a couple times, my home course," he added during the same conference. "One afternoon, I think Meredith was getting a haircut or something, and I was resting and so I had Bennett, and I took him to Royal Oaks. He whacked some golf balls around, and we hung out for a bit." The 29-year-old dad even bent the rules to sneak Bennett into the club's 19th hole grill. "I took him to the 19th hole with me, and I got some pretty funny pictures with Bennett sitting in the 19th hole at the men's only grill," he shared with the media during the Wednesday conference at TPC Southwind. "I think you've got to be 19 (years old) to get in there, but I figured if we bring in a couple major championship trophies with us, they'll let the rules slide on that one." This is not the first time Scheffler has shed light on his 1-year-old toddler's growing relationship with golf. During the pre-tournament conference at The Open Championship, the four-time major winner stated, "He's (Bennett) 14 months, and I'm like, this poor kid's got my personality. It's tough." While Bennett's swing is still in his infancy, Scheffler's own game is surging. The Dallas native enters the playoffs on Thursday with a stacked trophy room. His wins this season include the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, Memorial Tournament, PGA Championship and The Open, putting him just one U.S. Open title away from completing the career grand slam. He's already secured $18 million in bonuses for topping both the FedEx Cup regular-season standings and the Comcast Business Top 10. He's no doubt is eager to continue the momentum. Battlefield 6 Beta Blows Out Queue Times After Players Flock to Game
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors Battlefield 6's first beta period has just started in early access, with hundreds of thousands of players flocking to the game to try it out. The Battlefield 6 open beta starts in earnest on August 9 and runs for the entire weekend, but players who preordered the Phantom Edition of the game or subscribed to EA Play Pro are able to access it from today. That makes it all the more impressive that the numbers for the game are already so high — over 300,000 players are active in the open beta app on Steam at the time of writing, with that number likely to rise as US audiences start to wake up. That's not including players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with some estimating the real numbers could be over a million across all platforms already. EA The massive interest in the game saw queue times in-game balloon out, with some players reporting positions in the queue of over 200,000, being met with a message saying that the game servers are at maximum capacity. Thankfully, EA and DICE, the development team behind Battlefield 6, have been quick to respond to the massive player demand, assuring players in a post on X (formerly Twitter) shortly after the launch of the beta that they were working on a "substantial increase in server capacity." Not long after, that assurance seemed to come to fruition, with the official Battlefield Comms X account saying that queues were returning to suitable levels and times. We are now seeing signs of queue numbers returning to suitable levels and times. Thank you for your patience as we worked to mitigate the issue. We'll continue to keep an eye on queues and server capacity, and will follow up where needed! — Battlefield Comms (@BattlefieldComm) August 7, 2025 The early interest will likely come as a relief to EA, as it shows that the mixed reaction to 2021's Battlefield 2042 hasn't soured players on the franchise. BF2042 received mixed reviews from critics upon its release, with a metascore as low as 61/100 on some platforms on review aggregator website Metacritic. The reaction from players was even worse, with the game quickly becoming one of the worst reviewed games on Steam. Players criticized the game's lacking features, including many features missing that were present in prior games, as well as bugs and performance issues present in the game. Another concern from players was the inclusion of Christmas-themed skins, something players thought was at odds with the game's serious tone. That's something that is said to be avoided in the new game, after it was revealed in interviews with the game's developers that Battlefield 6 won't have silly crossover costumes like that of pop culture characters often featured in games like Fortnite and Call of Duty.
