It came after Sturridge gave the Dane three tips ahead of the contest on the South Coast.
Former Liverpool striker Sturridge netted 67 times in 160 games on Merseyside.
And he believes most of Hojlund's issues come from not shooting when he can.

The Dane has managed just 25 shots across 29 Premier League games this season - with his goal against the Cherries his only effort of the match.

Appearing as a pundit on Sky Sports, an exasperated Sturridge said: "[United's] centre backs have had more shots."
Sturridge also claims Hojlund is struggling with his off-the-ball movement.

And he added the Dane should also work on improving his communication with teammates.
Sturridge said: "I have had periods where I have had one shot coming off the pitch.

"[That] is down to me, my run selection.
"It is also communicating with teammates - saying this is what I want from you.
"The one thing he has to improve on for me is being a little bit more selfish, you have to pick your shots."
Hojlund struck late against the Cherries to earn United a point on the road.
It was his first goal for United since March 16 and just his second since December 7.

But despite speculation of new striking options arriving in the summer, Sturridge doesn't believe United should write Hojlund off completely.
He added: "There's something in there, he is not a bad player.
"He has talent and maybe the setup he is in now isn't allowing him to flourish."
