Rob McElhenney's wife makes anger clear over Wrexham call - 'We're still fighting about it'
Welcome to Wrexham has been a huge hit and won several awards since its release, but Rob McElhenney has been criticised by his wife, Kaitlin Olson, over one key decision

Rob McElhenney has been rebuked by his wife for featuring their children in the Welcome to Wrexham documentary.
The series focuses on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia creator McElhenney and fellow actor Ryan Reynolds' journey as co-owners of Wrexham. Since its debut in August 2022, the documentary has won plaudits worldwide, catapulting the club to international prominence.
Beyond their starring roles, McElhenney and Reynolds also helm the project as executive producers, earning numerous Emmy awards. However, it has come to light that Kaitlin Olson – McElhenney's wife and co-star on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia – was annoyed by his choice to include footage of their sons, Axel Lee and Leo Grey.
Olson voiced her irritation during a joint interview with McElhenney for Variety about their appearances in front of the camera. Both sons are reportedly eager to follow in their parents' footsteps, a prospect that worries Olson.
"We'd talked about not showing their faces," she said. "I remember going through puberty – no kid should be seen publicly before they're ready to.
"Everyone's got their insecurities, and it's not their fault that we chose this path and that we're famous. Rob went rogue and put them in a f***ing documentary! I'm still unhappy about that."

McElhenney defended his controversial decision, insisting that their children were enthusiastic about the idea. He said: "The kids love it. I have a different perspective. Millions of people across the world say, 'We love to watch them.'".
Nonetheless, Olson was not convinced by his justification, making her stance clear. She said: "I don't care about them – I care about my kids. We're still fighting about it."
McElhenney also divulged details about his close bond with Ryan Reynolds, noting that they often communicate through WhatsApp messages. He and Olson have shown support for Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, amidst their legal dispute with It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni.

Welcome to Wrexham is back on Disney+ for a fourth season. Fans can watch the series with a £4.99 monthly plan, or get 12 months for the price of 10 by paying for a year upfront.
"It's just our way of staying connected and navigating something together," McElhenney said. "And also me giving and showing as much support as I possibly can with all the other stuff that he's got going on, that I know is so difficult and challenging.
"We both are just trying to offer our support in any way that we can that doesn't just simply add oxygen to the fire."
McElhenney also admitted that he's considering changing his name due to persistent mispronunciations of his last name. Despite Reynolds' best efforts to educate people with a catchy music video on its correct pronunciation, confusion still abounds.
"As our business and our storytelling is expanding into other regions of the world and other languages in which my name is even harder to pronounce, I'm just going by Rob Mac," he said.

Coronation Street fears as character is seriously injured and an arrest is made
Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) continues to feel isolated among the Coronation Street community following Craig Tinker's (Colson Smith) brutal murder. Lou's partner Mick (Joe Layton) was responsible for Craig's death a few weeks ago. After finding out that Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) is actually Brody's (Ryan Mulvey) father, Mick went on a violent rampage, which resulted in him hitting Craig with a cricket bat. With plenty of Weatherfield residents giving her a wide berth, it was Gary Windass (Mikey North) who ended up feeling sorry for Lou. In upcoming episodes, she uses their newfound connection to her advantage by asking Gary for help with selling Mick's van. Calling at the salon, Lou later reveals that David (Jack P Shepherd) has asked her to cover his shift. Lou takes great pleasure in winding Maria (Samia Longchambon) up in the salon. When Gary tells her that Craig was well loved within the community, Lou decides to go to the memorial to show people that she's sorry for what has happened. Towards the end of the week, Maria chats to Shona (Julia Goulding) about the BBQ plans at the Platt household. As Lou listens in, she realises Shona has left her phone. Huge EastEnders twist as George's whereabouts on Christmas finally revealed
The floor falls from beneath Elaine Knight's (Harriet Thorpe) feet in EastEnders next week, as she learns where her husband George (Colin Salmon) ran off to on Christmas Day. As viewers of the BBC soap will remember, every member of the Beale and Knight clans provided an alibi for their whereabouts on the festive evening. That was because wicked Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) had been viciously attacked with a snow shovel, and until February, nobody knew who was responsible. It later transpired that Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) was the culprit, but that left a lot of questions as to where everyone else was on the fateful night – and whether they were telling the truth. George told his family that he was partaking in an illegal underground boxing match, but also later asked brother Kojo (Dayo Koleosho) to back up his alibi. He then admitted to daughter Gina (Francesca Henry) that he wasn't at the fight. In scenes that air this week, Elaine is left furious when he helps out with Cindy's relaunch of The Prince Albert, and her rival karaoke party flops, and by this time next week, things aren't any better between the couple. Tension is simmering behind the bar at The Vic as she silently fumes over George lending a hand his ex-wife a hand with her re-opening. Elaine decides to show her husband how committed she is to him, and presents a touching gift honouring his boxing past. However, as they relish in happiness, his son Junior (Micah Balfour) storms in and drops a bombshell. At Christmas, George secretly visited his ex Sabrina – Junior's mum. An argument escalates when he admits that Sabrina kissed him, although he pushed her away. Elaine declares that she's had enough and throws him out of the family home. An emotional George heads out to find Junior to vent his frustration, but instead crosses paths with Cindy, who – perhaps conveniently – is there to offer a shoulder to cry on. Later, Elaine tries to make peace and goes looking for George… only to spot him on the balcony of The Albert in a very warm embrace with Cindy. Heartbroken, she retreats to the café to gather herself. But things go from bad to worse when she returns and Felix lets slip that George and Cindy left together. More Trending Believing that he has betrayed her, Elaine decides not to wallow in self pity and calls up someone for for a drink. While she waits, a cheeky punter named Stephen tries his luck, but is quickly brushed to one side by Elaine's old pal Drew Peacock (Paul Clayton), the drag queen who had a secret relationship with her late husband. Drew gives Elaine a much-needed pep talk, reminding her to remain strong and not let Cindy get her down. Boosted by Drew's words, Elaine makes a shocking decision. View More » What does she do?
