Huge EastEnders twist as George's whereabouts on Christmas finally revealed
The floor falls from beneath Elaine Knight's (Harriet Thorpe) feet in EastEnders next week, as she learns where her husband George (Colin Salmon) ran off to on Christmas Day.
As viewers of the BBC soap will remember, every member of the Beale and Knight clans provided an alibi for their whereabouts on the festive evening.
That was because wicked Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) had been viciously attacked with a snow shovel, and until February, nobody knew who was responsible.
It later transpired that Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) was the culprit, but that left a lot of questions as to where everyone else was on the fateful night – and whether they were telling the truth.
George told his family that he was partaking in an illegal underground boxing match, but also later asked brother Kojo (Dayo Koleosho) to back up his alibi. He then admitted to daughter Gina (Francesca Henry) that he wasn't at the fight.
In scenes that air this week, Elaine is left furious when he helps out with Cindy's relaunch of The Prince Albert, and her rival karaoke party flops, and by this time next week, things aren't any better between the couple.
Tension is simmering behind the bar at The Vic as she silently fumes over George lending a hand his ex-wife a hand with her re-opening.
Elaine decides to show her husband how committed she is to him, and presents a touching gift honouring his boxing past. However, as they relish in happiness, his son Junior (Micah Balfour) storms in and drops a bombshell.
At Christmas, George secretly visited his ex Sabrina – Junior's mum.
An argument escalates when he admits that Sabrina kissed him, although he pushed her away. Elaine declares that she's had enough and throws him out of the family home.
An emotional George heads out to find Junior to vent his frustration, but instead crosses paths with Cindy, who – perhaps conveniently – is there to offer a shoulder to cry on.

Is she trying to worm her way in again?
Later, Elaine tries to make peace and goes looking for George… only to spot him on the balcony of The Albert in a very warm embrace with Cindy.
Heartbroken, she retreats to the café to gather herself. But things go from bad to worse when she returns and Felix lets slip that George and Cindy left together. More Trending
Believing that he has betrayed her, Elaine decides not to wallow in self pity and calls up someone for for a drink. While she waits, a cheeky punter named Stephen tries his luck, but is quickly brushed to one side by Elaine's old pal Drew Peacock (Paul Clayton), the drag queen who had a secret relationship with her late husband.
Drew gives Elaine a much-needed pep talk, reminding her to remain strong and not let Cindy get her down.
Boosted by Drew's words, Elaine makes a shocking decision.

Antiques Roadshow expert sends guest AWAY after spotting 'crucial' detail missing from diamond bracelet linked to Hollywood star
An Antiques Roadshow expert sent a guest away after spotting a 'crucial' detail missing from their diamond bracelet, which was linked to a Hollywood star. A resurfaced episode of the BBC show, which sees specialist appraisers value heirlooms and heritage items, went to the Baddesley Clinton manor in Warwickshire. Expert Geoffrey Munn was asked to assess a stunning diamond bracelet, said to have once belonged to iconic Hollywood actress Rita Hayworth. He admired the beautiful jewellery: 'Diamonds sparkling in the sunshine here. This is almost Hollywood sunshine, isn't it?' The owner replied, revealing the item's Tinseltown origins: 'It is indeed and that is exactly where this was bought.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. She purchased the bracelet from an antique and jewellery store on Hollywood. The woman was introduced to the owner and they soon developed a close friendship, which lasted 24 years until the shopkeeper passed away. She added: 'It's always nice to have a jeweller as a friend. 'And I had inheritance so I thought I would put it into something tangible and also pretty and also probably a better investment than the bank.' With this origin story about diamonds and best friends, Geoffrey could not resist a couple of obvious jokes: 'Your best friend, a girl's best friend, all these cliches are tumbling out onto the table!' The owner said she bought the bracelet for $23,000, which is around £13,500 - but it was her mention of its previous owner that got Geoffrey really excited. 'But in fact it had belonged to Rita Hayworth', she said, to which the expert responded enthusiastically: 'Oh, how marvelous! That's very good to know.' The jewellery was a gift to the actress and pin-up girl, who was one of the top stars of the Golden Age of Hollywood, best known for her turn in 1946 noir film Gilda. It was given to her by her third husband of a total five - Aly Khan, whose father was the former President of the Assembly of the League of Nations. The current owner of the bracelet, which she described as '1940s, American, fabulous Hollywood glitz', was clearly a big fan of Rita: 'She was an amazing star and a real Hollywood A-lister. 'She acted with absolutely everybody in Hollywood at the time - Glenn Ford, Frank Sinatra, Orson Welles.' Geoffrey agreed, pointing to her many fans: 'She was much adored and much loved.' But the owner, despite her best efforts, had not been able to find a picture of Rita wearing the bracelet so far. The specialist recommended she go away and keep trying to find such an image: 'Well, I will send you home to look for those photographs and maybe even her will would be interesting too, wouldn't it? 'And you've got to go in for a bit of open cast archaeology here because the provenance of these pieces have to be crucial in every sense of the word.' 'Because they're heirlooms, they're talismans and when you can associate them with somebody famous, someone utterly glamorous in lifestyle and in looks, then this adds hugely to your investment in some regard.' His recommendation informed his eventual estimate of how much the jewellery would go under the hammer for. Geoffrey said: 'Maybe if you go home and do your Rita Hayworth thing, find a photograph of her wearing it under the most spectacular circumstances with somebody famous, well, then £80,000.' The owner was absolutely delighted by this estimate: 'That's good! That was really quite a buy!' But the expert was quick to add: 'But if we can't find that and never do, then it's not so much fun. It might only be a mere £45,000.' The woman was not at all put off by that: 'It's still good! It's still lovely! I'm delighted!' It comes after guests on another more recent episode of Antiques Roadshow were stunned into silence after learning the eye-watering value of a watch purchased for just £21. Sunday's instalment of the popular BBC show saw expert Ben Wright presented with a pair of Rolex watches. One of them, the watch that cost only £21 originally, belonged to the guest's great-great-grandfather and was identified as the Rolex Prince. Sunday's instalment of the popular BBC show saw expert Ben Wright (pictured) presented with a pair of Rolex watches The other, more recent one, meanwhile, was his father's, who had accompanied the guest to appear on the programme. Of the older watch, Ben said, also looking at the paperwork accompanying it: 'I notice there's a little bit of wear and tear on the dial and we've got a later winder on the case.' Ben then went on to comment on the Rolex Submariner, which belongs to the father. 'I was a merchant navy cadet in 1976 and I saved up my pittance to buy that in Singapore. It was £250 I think,' he revealed. The specialist then revealed his valuation: 'At auction the Rolex Prince is going to be between £3,000 and £4,000. 'The Submariner, it's in great condition, all in all, the full ensemble at auction easily £8,000 to £12,000.' The father and son duo smiled and nodded silently at the whopping values, utterly stunned, before thanking Ben.

Who is the body in the lake of Emmerdale?
The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn't aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX. Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) will be questioned by a police officer in tonight's episode of Emmerdale, after confessing to the murder of Anthony Fox. Last week, Ruby got word that a body had been pulled out of the lake near the village. She immediately assumed it was her abusive father Anthony, and that was where John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) had disposed of him months ago. In order to save the other people who knew about Anthony's murder from prison, Ruby secretly went to the station and confessed on her own. She will be interviewed by a detective, but the situation will change dramatically when they later learn the body in the lake is not Anthony at all. Here's everything you need to know about what's ahead in Emmerdale for the rest of the week. The corpse is actually Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter). After Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) had an affair with Caleb Miligan (William Ash), Nate and Tracy's marriage broke down again and Tracy asked for a divorce. Nate was devastated about the affair and also about the breakdown of his relationship. After a while they seemed to have repaired things, but a false accusation from Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) that Nate was having an affair with Moira (Natalie J Robb) again destroyed things, as Tracy believed Cain and Nate was shattered by her lack of trust in him. Subsequently Nate announced that he'd taken a job in Shetland and left the village. We learnt in April that John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) killed Nate last year, and then disposed of his body in the lake. More Trending In an episode that featured flashback scenes, it was established that John lives with a hero complex. He orchestrates terrible situations and then steps in to fix them, looking like a great person in front of the Emmerdale residents. When it comes to Nate, John attempted to help him after he was attacked by Cain. He gave Nate some medication but he reacted badly to it, leading to his death. View More » Nate's family will learn about his murder before the week ends. Amid their devastation, they will be told they're not able to see Nate's body, due to it being badly decomposed. The uninhabited Scottish 'Castaway' island that was setting of iconic BBC series
The isle offers tours to visitors looking to get away from it all. Scotland is home to countless islands begging to be explored this summer. Many are popular holiday destinations, but lots of others are totally uninhabited. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat over the coming weeks, there is no shortage of idyllic undisturbed islands. One that is unlike any other is Taransay. The biggest uninhabited island in Scotland, Taransay is situated in the Outer Hebrides. Other than the occasional holidaymaker, the island has been human-free since 1974. It is believed that Taransay was inhabited thousands of years ago, and it was once home to villages and even chapels. However, the island's population dwindled during the 19th century and it was eventually abandoned. Taransay's biggest claim to fame is that it was the setting of the iconic BBC reality series Castaway 2000. In the show, 36 men, women, and children were required to live together and build a community on the remote island. The series, which was broadcast around the world, was watched by millions of viewers. Since the show ended almost 25 years ago, Taransay has become a unique tourist destination for those looking to get away from it all. According to the Isle of Taransay website, a regeneration of Taransay is currently underway, in an effort to restore the island to what it looked like before the Bronze Age. The website states that the owners aim to "restore the flora and fauna back to a pre-pastoral era as well as preserve the rich human and archaeological heritage of the island". Meanwhile, the owners of the island allow people to visit and soak in its undisturbed atmosphere. Taransay is home to everything from rolling mountains to golden beaches and tranquil lochs. Arguably the most iconic beach on the island is the one at Paible, which was once one of its villages. The magnificent white sandy bay truly feels a world away from modern life. Taransay is also a top destination for wildlife spotters. The owners of the island state that there is an abundance of wild species that call it home, such as golden eagles, otters, deer, and seals. For those interested in visiting Taransay, regular boat trips to the island are operated during the summer months. According to the Isle of Taransay website, dates of sailings for this summer will be released on a week-by-week basis. Boats will depart from Horgabost Beach on the Isle of Harris, with between eight and 10 passengers per passage. The crossing takes between 10 and 20 minutes, with visitors allowed to roam the island's 3,800 acres freely before the return trip later that day. Organisers state that visitors must be "of reasonable fitness", as the terrain on the island can be challenging. Additionally, travellers will need to bring food, water, and appropriate clothing with them. There is also the opportunity to stay on Taransay in what is described as a "private, wild and remarkable safari-style escape". Visitors can challenge themselves and embrace the elements in the company of a highly skilled team of adventurers.
