The preparations continue for the new Serie A campaign and there are several teams in action today.

Alberto Gilardino's Pisa gave themselves an extremely tough fixture by taking on German giants Bayer Leverkusen, who are just days away from their first official match of the season.
It was therefore not much of a surprise that they were swept aside 3-0 with all the goals in the first half from Robert Andrich on a set play routine, Christian Kofane's counter-attack and Exequiel Palacios.
The Serie A newcomers tried to fight back, especially after Bayer Leverkusen saw Edmond Tapsoba sent off at the 54th minute, but they were unable to put a dent in the result.
Genoa played out a 1-1 draw against the Japanese university students' national team.
Ruslan Malinovskyi had put the Grifone in front by converting a penalty, while Lorenzo Colombo rattled the frame of the goal.
Shinoda got the equaliser when a through ball allowed him to spring the offside trap.

Therefore, there is a widespread feeling that he will be on his way after just one year at the club. There have been plenty of clubs to show an interest in Taremi's signature. Botafogo have tried to bring the 33-year-old to Brazil. Meanwhile, Turkish giants Bestikas have also been eyeing up a move for Taremi. The outlet report that the offer would have been for a contract worth €3.5 million net per season.. According to UOL, however, Taremi prefers to stay at a team in Europe. Leeds United are in the race for the former Porto striker's signature, the outlet report. However, Fulham are also keen.

NFL preseason: Players and coaches to watch from every Week 1 game, including Shedeur Sanders, Patriots rookies and more
We're here. After the steady drip of practice clips and the tease of the Hall of Fame game, we are finally here to the real shebang. Real football. OK, maybe not the real, actual regular season with games that count in standings and statistics. But it's football nonetheless. Some of it even with starting players (for a series or two)! Let's take it in. [Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2025 NFL season] And despite more and more teams removing their starters from preseason games, opting for the more controlled environment of joint practices with other teams, there is still plenty to glean from our opening slate of NFL action. From highly drafted rookies, to position battles, to new coaches. Here are the players and coaches I'm keeping an eye on during our opening Week 1 of the NFL preseason slate. Colts at Ravens | Bengals at Eagles | Raiders at Seahawks | Lions at Falcons | Browns at Panthers | Commanders at Patriots | Giants at Bills | Texans at Vikings | Cowboys at Rams | Steelers at Jaguars | Titans at Buccaneers | Jets at Packers | Chiefs at Cardinals | Broncos at 49ers | Dolphins at Bears | Saints at Chargers Friday Lions at Falcons James Pearce Jr. and Jalon Walker The Falcons heavily invested in their pass rush this draft, selecting Jalon Walker and then trading up for James Pearce Jr. in the first round. Walker has been nursing a hamstring injury (you'll see that injury a few times in this column) and Pearce has been starting a daily fight at Falcons practices. But both should be good to go against the Lions on Friday. Walker and Pearce are each speedy defenders who can make plays in a hurry. It should be fun to watch them ripping and roaring against what should be a backup Lions unit (although hopefully we see some of their rookies like Tyleik Williams and Tate Ratledge in the trenches). Browns at Panthers Shedeur Sanders After beginning (and still being listed) as the fourth-string quarterback on the depth chart, Shedeur Sanders will be starting against the Panthers during the Browns' first preseason game. Sanders battled arm soreness during training camp among a random slew of injuries that have hit the Browns' quarterback room. Both Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel are missing the first preseason game while recovering from hamstring ailments themselves. (As an aside: I haven't seen too many hamstring injuries to quarterbacks over the years. Especially not two to one quarterback room at the same time. How much scrambling were Pickett and Gabriel doing?) With Joe Flacco sitting out due to 'DNP-Old,' Sanders will surely get a healthy chunk of plays before the recently signed Tyler Huntley wraps up the preseason opener. A consistent performance with some plays pushing the ball downfield would be a good box to check for Sanders in the Browns' quarterback battle. (Also, make sure to look for Panthers first-round draft pick Tetairoa McMillan trying to dunk on somebody.) Commanders at Patriots Patriots' rookies on offense Let's see if any of these young Patriots offensive players got something! The Patriots invested in both their trenches and skill spots during the draft (they definitely needed it). They're currently looking like they'll be trotting out a rookie left side of their offensive line this season with first-round selection Will Campbell at left tackle and third-rounder Jared Wilson (a personal favorite during the draft process) at left guard. I'll be really interested in watching their film the next day. Running back TreVeyon Henderson has already been a training camp standout with his big-play ability, especially as a receiver. Watching Henderson and Kyle Williams will be our first glimpse at some of the new toys at Drake Maye's disposal. Saturday Giants at Bills Jaxson Dart (and Theo Johnson) Hey, another first-round quarterback! This can be a pretty easy exercise sometimes. Jaxson Dart will get his first action for the New York Football Giants on Saturday. Even if he doesn't start the season behind center, these preseason snaps are invaluable to Dart's growth and chances to become the Giants' quarterback of the future. (Perhaps earlier than expected/wanted after the Giants' brutal slate to open the season.) For now, let's overanalyze all of those Day 1 install plays. If you want another player to take a glimpse at, I think Giants tight end Theo Johnson is on the cusp of a breakout season. I'm unsure how much run he'll get this preseason, but keep an eye on the growth of Johnson's game. Texans at Vikings J.J. McCarthy (and Aireontae Ersery) Another new starting quarterback playing for a team? Well, that's another easy one. J.J. McCarthy has a chance to be one of the NFL's lightning rod players among fan and analyst discussion. He gave us a positive glimpse during last year's preseason before succumbing to a meniscus injury. There has been some up-and-down play during training camp, which is to be expected given McCarthy's youth and the potential nastiness of the Vikings' defense. But McCarthy has a chance to keep working out the kinks before his maiden voyage as an NFL starting quarterback. The Texans would love to have a young offensive lineman step up this season. Or really any offensive lineman. Aireontae Ersery was one of their second-round draft selections and has a chance to take over at a tackle spot. He has size and is an easy mover. Any positive signs out of Ersery will help the Texans breathe just a little bit easier. Now about all the other spots … Cowboys at Rams Jaydon Blue and the Cowboys' run game Cowboys fifth-round rookie running back Jaydon Blue and the rest of the run game will be grabbing my attention for a while. I'm cautiously optimistic about this Cowboys offense with the additions of George Pickens and Tyler Booker, and the run game input from new offensive coordinator Klayton Adams. Dallas' run game has a chance to make a dramatic step forward with the interior trio the team has built, but the Cowboys created a hodgepodge running back room behind it. Blue is a smaller back who can hide behind the Cowboys' behemoth front and despite being a speedier player. He actually has good vision to step up his blocks. If he can get a handle on the fumbling issue that plagued him in college, then Blue could grow into a key contributor on this offense. Steelers at Jaguars Travis Hunter We might get our first exposure to the Travis Hunter Experience this weekend. It's unclear how much Hunter will play against the Steelers, but Hunter's quest to be a quasi-full-time player on both sides of the ball in the NFL has made the Jaguars appointment viewing this season. This could be our first exposure to the experiment. Titans at Buccaneers Cam Ward (and company) No. 1 overall draft pick Cam Ward (remember him?) is going to be making his first foray as the Titans' quarterback of the present and future. He'll be doing it behind a revamped offensive line that signed Dan Moore and Kevin Zeitler, who we'll also get our first glimpse of in Tennessee. Keep an eye on the young wide receivers in this game: Elic Ayomanor is strong and might be one of the best blocking receivers you'll ever see, Xavier Restrepo was Ward's favorite target at Miami, and Bucs first-round pick Emeka Egbuka has been drawing rave reviews from coaches and observers already during training camp. Jets at Packers Devonte Wyatt and Lukas Van Ness (if starters play) I have optimism about the Packers' defense while still having questions about their pass rush and coverage (oh, just those things). If the Packers play their starters in this game, I'll be keeping a keen eye on former first-round selections defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt and edge defender Lukas Van Ness. Wyatt should be getting an increased workload this season and Van Ness will be working to harness his always-tantalizing potential that he hasn't quite put together so far. If both are something this season, look out for this Packers defense and team. The Jets' young and talented offensive line is a great way to get their feet wet in the preseason. Chiefs at Cardinals Josh Simmons and Kingsley Suamataia Andy Reid typically plays his starters for a series during the first preseason game. That means we should get some semblance of a look at first-round left tackle Josh Simmons and second-year player Kingsley Suamataia at left guard. Both are über-talented, and if both can be serviceable as players this year, it can help open up the Chiefs' offense (and downfield attack) and help paint a rosier picture going forward for the Chiefs' roster construction. I'm personally high on both players, and Simmons has been getting plenty of buzz so far, so this will be a nice opening glimpse at how these young linemen can bolster a Chiefs team that always has championship aspirations with No. 15 behind center. Broncos at 49ers Mykel Williams, RJ Harvey and Pat Bryant Some real intriguing rookies in this game! Mykel Williams to the 49ers was one of my favorite team-player fits of the draft. Williams defending the run against a physical Broncos team will be a fun first test for what will be a real strength to his game. The Broncos selected a couple of young skill players on Day 2 of the draft, and despite Sean Payton listing them at the bottom of the depth chart, running back RJ Harvey and wide receiver Pat Bryant are both intriguing players who can help add some big-play juice to this offense that needed more players who excelled with the ball in their hands. Sunday Dolphins at Bears Caleb Williams and Bears' offense under Ben Johnson There have been reports of sloppy offensive play and head coach Ben Johnson removing players for mental mistakes right after they leave the huddle, but I still remain optimistic about Johnson and his pairing with quarterback Caleb Williams. Johnson is a stickler for details, and a clean performance from Williams and the rest of the Bears offensive starters would go a long way in putting some pep in the steps at Halas Hall. Bears second-round selection Ozzy Trapilo has been working with the 1s lately, a strong outing can help cement himself and help continue the Bears' offensive line overhaul. Saints at Chargers Spencer Rattler, Tyler Shough and Jake Haener Another QB competition! The Saints have been rotating snaps between Spencer Rattler, Jake Haener and second-round rookie Tyler Shough. Rattler is seemingly the leader in the clubhouse entering the first preseason game. Every single play matters at practice and in preseason games for these players and it will help Kellen Moore and his staff determine their starter for 2025. Or at least entering Week 1 of the regular season. Thursday Colts at Ravens Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones The Colts' quarterback battle between Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones remains ongoing. Richardson will start Thursday and will play the opening quarter and a half before Jones rounds out the first half in their first preseason game against the Ravens (with Richardson and Jones swapping playing time in their second preseason game next week against the Packers). Richardson has to become way more consistent to establish himself as a real starter, but there have been positive reports (and dreaded training camp video clips) so far this summer. Seeing Richardson put out a positive performance, and remain mistake-free, will be a good first step in 2025, and surely help his standing against Jones. (Sorry, Riley Leonard. But you're just more a fun footnote on Thursday.) Bengals at Eagles Al Golden's defense Zac Taylor has indicated that Joe Burrow and the starters will play several series. So, we'll get our first peek at what should be one of the NFL's highest-scoring units. As exciting as the Bengals' offense is, Cincinnati's defense under new coordinator Al Golden is what will make or break the Bengals' 2025 season. This was a pretty rough unit in 2024, so there are more questions than answers as the preseason starts. What kind of coverages Golden wants to deploy will be interesting with the Bengals' young secondary, and something I'm keeping my eye on throughout the year. He preferred a heavy dosage of man coverage last year at Notre Dame, which might be a tougher ask with the Bengals' back seven. First-round selection Shemar Stewart's contract dispute lasted longer than anybody wanted, but he has now been practicing and showing signs of his otherworldly talent already in training camp. If Stewart can sustain more of his flashes and the coverage shows signs of life, then the Bengals might have a defense that might not be outright good, but can create turnovers and big plays to help out Cincinnati's high-octane offense. Raiders at Seahawks Chip Kelly's offense Let's see what you got, Chip Kelly! While I'm sure Kelly, like most play-callers, will be vanilla with how much he shows as far as a preseason game in August, it'll be fun to see what the Raiders trot out against Pete Carroll's old team. Kelly will surely have some fun with Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer in two-tight end looks. But how the wide receiver room shakes out will be interesting. Rookie wide receiver Dont'e Thornton has created some noise in training camp. If he can carve out a role as the player who takes the top off of defenses, he should have clean synergy with Geno Smith and boost the other Raiders pass catchers. The Seahawks have a whole slew of things to check out, especially on their offense. From new play-caller Klint Kubiak's zone-heavy scheme to whether Christian Haynes can win the battle at right guard on the Seahawks' improved (hopefully) offensive line, to seeing if fifth-round standout Tory Horton can keep his strong string of practices going.

Revealed – Why Inter Milan Consider Man United Outcast A Target This Summer
Inter Milan see Man United winger Jadon Sancho as an opportunity to sign a high-level technical attacker with a low fee or on loan. This according to Italian outlet They report that the Nerazzurri feel that the Englishman is undervalued after a couple poor seasons at Manchester United. Jadon Sancho has emerged as a potential surprise target for Inter Milan. The 25-year-old is back at Manchester United after a season on loan with Chelsea. Whilst it was a relatively positive season for Sancho at Stamford Bridge – even scoring in the Europa Conference League final against Real Betis – the Blues did not sign Sancho permanently. Nevertheless, there is little doubt that United want to offload Sancho this summer. The England international does not have a place in the project at Old Trafford. (Photo by) According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter believe that Sancho's awkward situation at United makes him a bargain. The Red Devils signed the Englishman for a whopping €68 million from Borussia Dortmund in 2021. And furthermore, the fee that United paid that summer looked justified. Sancho had been one of the outstanding young talents in Europe when the Red Devils signed him. However, Sancho was not able to replicate his form from the Bundesliga in a United shirt. Therefore, United want to offload the player once and for all this summer. Or at the very least, loan him out. From Inter's perspective, though, this makes Sancho a great opportunity. The Nerazzurri believe that the 25-year-old's technical quality means that he can re-find his level. He just needs to show more consistency. Therefore, the Gazzetta report, Inter see Sancho as a plausible backup target for Ademola Lookman.
