Royal Oman Police welcomes new batch of recruits
Muscat – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) welcomed a new cohort of recruits on Sunday, August 3, 2025, as part of its ongoing strategy to strengthen national policing capabilities and support Omanisation efforts.
The new recruits — holders of General Education Diplomas and Post-General Education Diplomas — officially joined the force through a national employment initiative in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour.
In line with the ROP's expanding operational framework, these recruits will undergo an intensive training programme at the Police Recruits Institute at the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences. The programme includes military, legal, and disciplinary modules, as well as academic and cognitive training designed to build well-rounded, capable law enforcement professionals.
This initiative reflects the ROP's commitment to cultivating qualified national talent and instilling the values of discipline, professionalism, and national responsibility within the next generation of police officers.
