Scouts Dizon & Naeole celebrate Eagles Super Bowl win
Two former Hawai'i gridiron greats are now Super Bowl champions, as Philadelphia Eagles scouts Jordon Dizon and Chris Naeole celebrated the team's 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday.
Dizon and Naeole, both standout football players in Hawai'i before advancing to careers in the NFL and scouting, sent a video message to KHON2 Sports after the win, saying, 'Mahalo, Hawai'i! Super Bowl champs! Go Birds!'
Both players starred in Hawai'i high school football, played collegiately at the University of Colorado, and had NFL careers before transitioning into scouting roles with the Eagles.
Dizon, who was hired as a national scout by Philadelphia in 2022, is entering his 10th season as an NFL scout. Before joining the Eagles, he spent seven seasons (2015-21) with the Denver Broncos, serving as assistant director of pro personnel (2021) and pro scout (2015-20).
A former linebacker, Dizon was selected in the second round (No. 45 overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. In 28 career games, he recorded 56 tackles, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, and one sack.
At Colorado, Dizon cemented his legacy with the Buffaloes, finishing with the fourth-most tackles (440) in program history. He was named a consensus All-American following his senior season in 2007, becoming the first Colorado linebacker to earn the honor since Matt Russell in 1996.
A native of Kaua'i, Dizon attended Waimea High School, where he excelled as an all-state running back and linebacker.
Naeole, a Kahuku High School product, became an All-American offensive lineman at Colorado before being selected 10th overall by the New Orleans Saints in the 1997 NFL Draft. He later played for the Jacksonville Jaguars before transitioning into coaching.
By 2010, Naeole began his coaching career at the high school level before joining the University of Hawai'i's staff. He served as the Rainbow Warriors' offensive line coach and associate head coach, and at one point, stepped in as interim head coach.
Now a Polynesian Football Hall of Fame inductee, Naeole is in his third season as an international scout for the Eagles.

Love his work ethic, but my job is to help him prepare just to kind of tap into every ounce of potential that he has, and he's willing to work and do that. So, I'm excited about that." Advertisement Heading into training camp, you can count Lane among Washington's locks for the 53-man roster at receiver. That means the Commanders have plans for him in 2025 that go beyond special teams. In college, Lane played in an archaic offense and didn't always have the best quarterback play, yet he proved he could deliver in many ways. Lane can beat you deep, work for the slot, get yards after the catch, or take handoffs. Don't be surprised if Washington gets Lane involved in Week 1 as it finds creative ways to exploit his blazing speed. As for Taylor and the Bengals, he could be right there on the hot seat by the end of 2025 if the season doesn't go as planned, especially now that he's re-tooled major parts of his coaching staff, implying better results.
