, recently spoke about their unexpected love story. Recounting the early days, Tejaswini admitted she had no clue about the film industry or Raju's actual profession when they met.
'I thought he was a director,' she laughed, only later discovering through a Google search that he was one of Telugu cinema's most prominent producers.
At the time, Tejaswini wasn't actively looking for a relationship. 'I had no interest in getting into one,' she shared in an interview with NTV Entertainment, adding that she also didn't know Dil Raju had lost his first wife. The weight of that knowledge made her even more hesitant.
'He had to convince my strict uncle first'
When Dil Raju expressed his interest in taking the relationship forward, Tejaswini told him he needed to win over her elder uncle. Known in the family for being particularly strict, his approval seemed like a tough ask. 'Surprisingly, he was the first to say yes,' she said with a smile.
Still, the road to marriage wasn't entirely smooth. Tejaswini faced resistance from several relatives who were skeptical of the match.

But in time, her family came around. She believes it was her trust in Raju's honesty that eventually led her to say yes. 'What truly matters in life is having an honest person beside you,' she said.
Destiny and chance played a big role in their union
Dil Raju, who lost his first wife Anitha in 2017, had met Tejaswini by chance at an airport where she worked after completing her MSc in Biochemistry. Recalling their early encounters, he once told Indiaglitz, 'I think it was all destined to happen.
After Anitha's passing, I wanted to move on. I kept bumping into Tejaswini and finally took six months to ask for her phone number at the airport.'

What's next for Dil Raju?
On the work front, Dil Raju is gearing up for the release of Thammudu, an action drama featuring Nithiin and directed by Venu Sriram. The film is slated to hit theatres on July 4, 2025.
Additionally, the ace producer has confirmed another major project in the pipeline—Ravanam, starring Allu Arjun and directed by KGF and Salaar filmmaker Prashanth Neel.
