She accessorised the look with a striking red emeralds chain necklace, but what truly caught everyone's attention was the bright red sindoor she wore, a first for Aishwarya at the prestigious international event.

Her sindoor wasn't just a style statement, it came amid persistent rumours of trouble in her marriage to actor Abhishek Bachchan. The couple has been surrounded by speculation about a potential split, particularly throughout 2024. The buzz was fuelled by their sporadic public appearances and the absence of each other from certain social media posts and events. However, the couple has consistently pushed back against these rumours, appearing together at multiple events this year.
Aishwarya and Abhishek celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on April 20, 2025. To commemorate the milestone, Aishwarya shared a heartwarming family photo featuring Abhishek and their daughter Aaradhya. Dressed in coordinated white outfits, the family radiated togetherness. Aishwarya simply captioned the post with a white heart emoji. The post received an outpouring of love, with musician Amaan Ali Bangash leaving red hearts in the comments and fans appreciating their unity. One comment read, 'Love how Abhishek's glasses match your lipstick."
Their recent joint outings and social media presence have subtly but firmly addressed the gossip surrounding their relationship.
On the professional front, Aishwarya was last seen in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan: II, reprising her role as Nandini. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan appeared in the Amazon Prime original Be Happy.

Vishal Jethwa On Janhvi-Ishaan's Cannes Video: ‘She Was Holding Gown, Not Avoiding Him'

Last Updated: Vishal Jethwa clarified Janhvi Kapoor didn't ignore Ishaan Khatter at Cannes but was just managing her gown during a red carpet moment. A recent video from Cannes 2025 sparked a wave of speculation around Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter's equation. The clip, which quickly went viral, showed Janhvi seemingly ignoring Ishaan's hand as she walked the red carpet, leading many to assume there was tension between the Dhadak co-stars, who were also rumoured to be exes. Now, actor Vishal Jethwa, who attended Cannes with both Janhvi and Ishaan, has clarified what actually happened in the moment and shut down any speculation of discomfort between the two. 'I've seen Ishaan and Janhvi work together and they are very comfortable with each other. They are well-wishers and talk very nicely to one another," Vishal said in a chat with Zoom. Explaining the viral video, Vishal added, 'At Cannes, I remember holding her outfit's trail and was struggling to figure out how to hold it properly. I was just trying to help her. And when Janhvi was climbing up, Ishaan was offering his hand. She was holding her clothes, which is probably why she didn't take his hand." He further defended Janhvi, stating she would never do anything disrespectful. 'She's very sensible and could never do anything disrespectful. That's what I've come to understand about her," Vishal shared. On the widespread social media chatter that followed the video, he said, 'I'm sure no one is thinking about this in a serious way. But people like to be entertained, and they're just going along with it." The trio—Janhvi, Ishaan, and Vishal—were in Cannes to attend the prestigious film festival and promote their work on an international stage. While the viral moment grabbed attention, Vishal's clarification suggests it was nothing more than a misread situation caused by the logistics of managing a red carpet outfit. First Published:

Sonali Bendre on disappointment with Duplicate: Grey role became one-dimensional

Actor Sonali Bendre Behl, in a recent interview, shared her disappointment with the film 'Duplicate', in which she starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla. She revealed that she found her role in the film to be very one-dimensional. She also recalled working with Salman Khan in 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sonali Bendre talked about her experience in 'Duplicate'. She said, "It was a film that a lot of people talk about. But this is one of those films that really helped shape the way I wanted my character to be. The idea was to have beautiful grey shades in this character, but it kind of started becoming very one-dimensional. I think it became more of a secondary character when I got onto it.'advertisementShe added, 'When I did 'Zakhm', I knew it wasn't the main character, I knew Pooja had that role. But it was a beautiful story with Bhatt Sahab, and I just wanted to be a part of it, so I did it. But when 'Duplicate' was concerned, I was supposed to have had an equal amount. And at that point, it started to feel like it wasn't the same kind of role anymore. So at that time, I did start to feel like I wasn't getting my due. But I think eventually, it all evened out, and I did get my due. In the same interview, upon seeing an old photo from the sets of 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' featuring Salman Khan, she laughed and remarked, "Am I not pouring tea or milk here?"advertisementShe also talked about how Salman used to make faces and tease her while she was giving close-up shots. "We were fighting all the time. I should ask Salman about it then. Because whenever I was giving close-ups, Salman would be making faces at me. And I would get so pissed off that I would say, 'What the hell?', she also shared how difficult it was to shoot in the heavy golden ghagra she wore in the film. 'It weighed around 20 kilos and had heavy zari work, the fake jewellery I wore gave me allergies and rashes everywhere. To take a turn in that ghagra itself took 4 beats more,' she the work front, Sonali Bendre was last seen in a small role in Remo D'Souza's film 'Be Happy'. She made her OTT debut in 2022 with the web series 'The Broken News'. The show was loved by the audience and came back with a second season last Reel

Neeraj Ghaywan Thanks Homebound Team After Cannes, Omits DoP Pratik Shah Amid Allegations

Last Updated: Neeraj Ghaywan thanked the Homebound team post-Cannes, but his note made no mention of cinematographer Pratik Shah, who is facing abuse allegations. Homebound, Neeraj Ghaywan's much-discussed film that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last month in the Un Certain Regard section, is now caught in the crosswinds of controversy. The film's cinematographer, Pratik Shah, recently came under fire after being accused of abuse and inappropriate conduct. Shortly after the allegations surfaced, Shah deleted his Instagram account, prompting speculation. While the production house has issued a statement, director Neeraj Ghaywan has now spoken—but notably, without mentioning Shah at all. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Ghaywan posted a detailed note of gratitude, reflecting on Homebound's journey and acknowledging key contributors to the film. Yet his omission of the cinematographer—traditionally a crucial creative collaborator—was impossible to overlook. 'Now that the whirlwind that was Cannes is over, I'd like to acknowledge the contributions of people associated with our film #Homebound," Ghaywan began. Now that the whirlwind that was Cannes is over, I'd like to acknowledge the contributions of people associated with our film #Homebound. Starting off with the writing process.— Neeraj Ghaywan (@ghaywan) June 2, 2025 He credited the origins of the story to Basharat Peer's moving New York Times article Taking Amrit Home. 'After introducing me to it, @somenmishra0 (Producer) pitched the idea of me directing the film to Basharat, and he was excited by the prospect. Something inside of me cried out to make the story come to life as I read it," Ghaywan wrote, adding that travelling with Peer to meet the families featured in the piece strengthened his desire to tell their story. The filmmaker went on to thank a long list of collaborators: story and screenplay consultant Sumit Roy, dialogue writer Varun Grover, dialect coach Shreedhar Dubey, the Dharma Productions development team, DA and script supervisor Ibad Shaikh, co-producer Melita Toscan Du Plantier, and editor Nitin Baid. He also clarified, 'I forgot to add that I also wrote the Screenplay of Homebound. That was by myself." Conspicuously absent from the list was Pratik Shah, who served as the cinematographer on the film. The omission comes shortly after abuse allegations surfaced online, though Ghaywan has yet to comment publicly on the controversy itself. Meanwhile, Dharma Productions, which backed the film, issued an official statement regarding the matter. 'Mr. Pratik Shah was a freelancer on the project Homebound and was working on it for a limited period. His engagement with us has been completed. During this limited period, our internal committee for POSH didn't receive any complaints against him from any cast or crew on our film Homebound," read the statement. Homebound, which stars Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vishal Jethwa, received a nine-minute standing ovation at Cannes. It was executive produced by Hollywood legend Martin Scorsese and marked a significant moment in Indian cinema's global presence this year. Despite missing out on an award, the film was widely praised for its emotional depth and craftsmanship. First Published:
