Referring to the allegations made against Pratik Shah, he urged the industry to investigate the growing pattern of powerful men abusing their positions. Mehta began his statement by saying, 'Abuse thrives in silence. It festers in fear. Predatory behaviour by men in positions of power must be investigated thoroughly, and if found true, must be called out, unequivocally, and without delay. 'The mindset that allows toxic environments to flourish in the name of 'passion' or 'genius' must end,' he stressed. His post continued, 'Victims need voice. They need redress. They need a system that listens and acts. Accountability is not cancel culture. It is culture correction. We owe it to ourselves, and to those who come after us, to make our spaces safer. Cleaner. 'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' box office collection Day 15: Tom Cruise starrer sees a surge on Saturday; inches towards Rs 90 crore mark in India

Tom Cruise 's Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning witnessed a noticeable surge in box office collections on its fifteenth day in Indian theatres, signalling renewed audience interest over the weekend. According to early estimates from industry tracker the action-packed spy thriller earned approximately Rs 3.50 crore (India net) across all languages on Saturday, a significant jump from its estimated Rs 1.75 crore haul on Friday. The film, directed by Christopher McQuarrie , had a robust opening week, collecting Rs 54.4 crore and experienced a sharp dip in the second week, bringing in an estimated Rs 26.75 crore, raising concerns about its long-term momentum. Despite the mid-run slowdown, The Final Reckoning has shown resilience, especially with Saturday's strong performance that indicates the franchise still holds drawing power with Indian audiences. The film's total India net collection now stands at approximately Rs 86.41 crore. The film has been driven primarily by its English-language screenings which alone contributed around Rs 52.1 crore to the overall tally. While the latest instalment is tracking well, it still trails behind its 2023 predecessor, Dead Reckoning Part One, which raked in Rs 98.35 crore within its first two weeks. That said, The Final Reckoning appears to be outperforming Dead Reckoning on comparable days, as Saturday's collections surpass those seen on Day 15 of the previous film's run. With strong weekend momentum, The Final Reckoning is now poised to cross the Rs 90 crore threshold in the coming days. Whether it can reach or surpass the Rs 110.3 crore total earned by Dead Reckoning Part One over a nine-week theatrical run remains to be seen. Featuring an ensemble cast that includes Hayley Atwell , Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg , Henry Czerny, Angela Bassett , and Pom Klementieff , the film is the concluding chapter of the long-running Mission: Impossible franchise. While it continues to draw audiences in India, the global box office performance will be crucial in offsetting its reported $400 million production budget — one of the most expensive in the series' history. As the third weekend progresses, all eyes are on whether the Cruise-led spectacle can maintain its upward trajectory and cement its place as one of the franchise's highest-grossing titles in India.
