Two Powerball players in Texas won $50,000 each, just missing the $65 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The tickets matched four winning numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Wednesday, June 11, the Texas Lottery said. The lucky tickets were sold at Sonik Mart in Lubbock and a Walmart Fuel Center in Universal City, about a 20-mile drive northeast from San Antonio, lottery officials said. Nobody won the grand prize, which rises to an estimated $80 million, with a cash value of about $36 million, for the next drawing Saturday, June 14, the national Powerball site said. The winning numbers were 13, 25, 29, 37 and 53, with a Powerball of 3. The Power Play multiplier was 2x. Nearly 300,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000, the lottery said. The Powerball jackpot was last won May 31, when a California player hit the $204.5 million grand prize.
