Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter Shiloh adopts new name after dropping Pitt
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter Shiloh Jolie recently debuted a new name.
The 19-year-old daughter of the two Academy Award-winning stars choreographed a sensual dance under the nickname Shi, for dancers Keoni Rose and Tako Suzuki, who performed on stage as singer Luella performed her song "Naïve," according to Variety.
Shiloh's debut as a choreographer took place at a dinner celebrating the launch of French designer Isabel Marant's capsule collection, in partnership with Net-A-Porter.
News of her using a stage name comes a year after she filed to remove Pitt from her hyphenated last name following her 18th birthday in May 2024.
After a legal notice about her name change was published in the Los Angeles Times, her lawyer, Peter Levine, responded to backlash from the media who claimed she put an ad in the newspaper to announce that she was changing her name.
"The media should be more careful in their reporting," Levine said in a statement obtained by Fox News Digital, "especially when covering a young adult who has made an independent and significant decision following painful events, and is merely following legal process."
She is not the only one of Angelina and Brad's six children – in addition to Shiloh, the two share Maddox, 23, Zahara, 20, Pax, 21, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – who has decided to change her name.
In May 2024, Vivienne worked as a producer's assistant for "The Outsiders" on Broadway, and was credited as Vivienne Jolie in the playbill, having also dropped Pitt from her previously hyphenated last name.
Zahara also dropped her father's last name when she introduced herself as "Zahara Marley Jolie" in a video obtained by Essence, when joining her sorority at Spelman College, choosing not to include Pitt in her introduction.
"He's aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name. He's never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter," a source close to Brad told People when news of Shiloh's name change broke. "The reminders that he's lost his children is, of course, not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It's very sad."
Angelina filed for divorce from Brad in 2016 after two years of marriage and 12 years together. The decision came after she accused him of physically abusing her and their children during an altercation on a private jet.
Pitt denied the allegations, and no charges were filed against him after the FBI conducted an investigation in 2016.
The couple finalized their divorce in December 2024.
"More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt," Angelina's lawyer, James Simon, said in a statement at the time. "She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over."

What did DOGE do? What did DOGE find?" Bannon asked, saying it's a matter of "national security." Bannon has criticized Musk for years, claiming to CBS News in March 2023 that Musk was "owned by the Chinese Communist Party." In January, he called Musk "out of control." Bannon said Friday he is in "touch with the White House at many levels." His comments came the day after Mr. Trump and Musk's relationship broke down in a series of dramatic, public outbursts that erupted over Musk's withering criticisms of Republicans' tax and budget bill. The president said Musk "went CRAZY!" and threatened to cancel Musk's lucrative government contracts. Musk claimed that Mr. Trump could not have won the presidency without him, voiced support for impeachment and claimed the president's name appeared in files related to the case of Jeffrey Epstein, the deceased financier who died by suicide in federal custody in 2019 while facing charges of sex trafficking. Throughout the back and forth, Mr. Trump continued to defend the budget bill Musk opposes. "I don't mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago. The pair's biggest media allies at Fox News — the most-watched cable news network on the planet, often viewed as a clearinghouse for the MAGA agenda — seem to be having a little difficulty with the breakup. Since Thursday afternoon, the network's MAGA-aligned opinion personalities have largely mourned the feud and appeared torn between their two central heroes, at times openly imploring them through the TV screen to reconcile. ‘Return to Sender' Review: Wishes by Mail
What if you could have anything you wished for? The author-illustrator Vera Brosgol puts a contemporary spin on the classic setup in 'Return to Sender,' her delightful novel for middle-grade readers. Seasoned fans of fairy tales and fables will anticipate the fantastical wish-granting ahead, but our story actually starts with real-life wish fulfillment of a more conventional kind: inheriting New York City real estate. When a great-aunt leaves 10-year-old Oliver Bakh and his mom her Manhattan apartment, their change in fortune couldn't have come at a better time. Ever since Oliver's dad died the previous year, Oliver and his mom have been bouncing from one distant relative's home to the next. Like all New York City apartments, this one has its quirks—in this case, a mail slot built into a wall, leading to nowhere. But as Oliver accidentally discovers, the mail slot can grant the apartment's owners anything they wish for: Write down a wish, feed it into the slot, and soon step-by-step typewritten instructions for making the wish come true will arrive. Ms. Brosgol has a sharp eye for both class dynamics and the way that social media can exacerbate adolescent (and indeed, adult) envy. Oliver attends a prestigious private school thanks to the tuition discount his mom receives for working there as a custodian. Among the children of New York's elite, Oliver stands out for all the wrong reasons. While Oliver's wishes start out small enough—pizza for dinner, a new pair of sneakers—they inevitably increase in scope. 'His classmates had inherited money,' Oliver reasons. 'He'd inherited wishes. It would be wrong to waste them.' In 'Return to Sender,' each wish comes with a cascade of reality-changing consequences. Ms. Brosgol has previously written and illustrated graphic novels and picture books—including 'Anya's Ghost' (2011) and 'Leave Me Alone!' (2016)—and one of the many charms of this book are her black-and-white cartoons punctuating the pages. These are an especially effective and entertaining way of showing the unexpected events that Oliver's wishes set in motion.
