Abu Dhabi Chamber cooperates with Florida, Guangxi, and Moscow to increase trade and investment
Abu Dhabi, UAE – As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships, the Abu Dhabi Chamber signed two cooperation agreements with the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China and the Florida Chamber of Commerce. It also discussed enhancing cooperation with the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry to increase mutual trade and investment with trading partners and influential economies around the world.
This took place during the Chamber's participation in the AIM Investment Summit 2025 as a business community partner, to enhance cooperation and build relationships with investors from around the world. The Chamber also promoted Abu Dhabi's dynamic economic ecosystem to enhance its status as a leading global investment destination.
During the summit, the Chamber showcased its ongoing efforts to encourage strategic partnerships and provide promising business opportunities. It also participated in a range of activities and events, including discussions, seminars, and meetings with business leaders, decision-makers, and experts from various sectors.
His Excellency Shamis Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Managing Director, said: 'The agreements signed by the Abu Dhabi Chamber during our participation at the AIM Investment Summit emphasise the emirate's proactive approach to building and developing relationships and partnerships that shape the future of the global economy and investment landscape. Our participation led to numerous initiatives to enhance cooperation and develop relationships with partners, investors, start-ups, and entrepreneurs.'
His Excellency added: 'The Abu Dhabi Chamber's pavilion at the summit served as a valuable platform for knowledge and experience exchange with visiting delegations. It highlighted promising opportunities in many sectors to attract investments, enable partnerships, explore innovations, and introduce Abu Dhabi's business ecosystem. The emirate, known for ease of doing businesses, enabling all to achieve growth and prosperity, is strengthening its position as an attractive centre for talent, investments, and business, and a vital nod in international trade. It provides opportunities for local and international investors and supports the expansion and development of businesses.'
Strategic partnerships
The agreement between the Abu Dhabi Chamber and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, signed by H.E. Shamis Ali Al Dhaheri and Ms. Wang Xinhong, Deputy Executive Director of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, reflects the Chamber's commitment to strengthening trade ties with key international partners, attracting investments and accessing new markets in the world's fastest-growing economies.
The agreement with the Florida Chamber of Commerce, signed by His Excellency Khaled Al Fahim, a member of the Chamber's Board of Directors, and Katia Yeutter, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the Florida American Chamber, focuses on reinforcing trade ties and identifying economic sectors of mutual interest to drive growth and sustainability. Both sides expressed interest in expanding investment and trade, open broader avenues for dialogue between private sector's companies, provide access to resources, and organise initiatives and events.
Dialogue sessions and business meetings
During its participation in several dialogue sessions, the Abu Dhabi Chamber highlighted the emirate's diverse investment potential, including economic diversification strategy that has increased the contribution of non-oil sectors to the GDP, strategic projects, advanced infrastructure, and innovation and technology centers.
H.E. Shamis Ali Al Dhaheri and H.E. Vladimir Platonov, President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation and increase communication and coordination across various economic activities, opening new opportunities for consolidating relationships, launching joint projects, encouraging investment flows, and enabling companies to expand and grow in both Abu Dhabi and Moscow to serve the shared interests of the UAE and the Russian Federation.

Dubai Chamber of Commerce has hosted its second quarterly roundtable for Business Groups and Business Councils of 2025, reinforcing its role as a key connector between the private sector and government stakeholders. Held under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, the meeting brought together members from sector-specific Business Groups and country-specific Business Councils. Participants were briefed on the Chamber's latest initiatives, including new programmes and long-term plans to support private sector success. In the first quarter of 2025, the Chamber facilitated 55 meetings with Business Groups and Councils—an increase of 166% year-on-year. It also launched the Indonesian and Hungarian Business Councils to strengthen ties with businesses from both regions. The Chamber reviewed 10 laws and draft laws in collaboration with Business Groups during the same period. Private sector recommendations saw a 55% adoption rate, reflecting the impact of ongoing business advocacy efforts. Additionally, four joint meetings were held with key government entities to resolve industry-specific challenges. 'Strengthening the voice of private sector stakeholders through our Business Groups and Councils remains central to enhancing Dubai's business landscape,' said Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers. Emirati designers dazzle at the 55th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show
A captivating showcase of handcrafted gold and diamond jewellery by twenty Emirati female designers has drawn significant attention at the 55th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show at Expo Centre Sharjah. These exquisite pieces were displayed under the 'Emirati Goldsmiths' platform, an initiative by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) aimed at empowering local designers and connecting them with over 500 regional and international exhibitors. This year's platform welcomed new designers from across the UAE, each presenting collections inspired by the country's rich cultural heritage and natural environment. Crafted from gold and gemstones, many designs incorporated traditional 'Talli' handicrafts in innovative, modern forms, blending heritage with contemporary artistry. Among the most talked-about creations were the 'Zayed Lantern,' the 'Palm Necklace,' the 'Well' design, and the 'Emirati Dama'a,' all recognised for their originality and exceptional craftsmanship. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI and Expo Centre Sharjah, reiterated the Chamber's commitment to supporting young Emirati talents and enhancing their role in the national economy, particularly in the vibrant gold and jewellery sector. He noted that the 'Emirati Goldsmiths' platform has become a strategic hub for nurturing female designers, with around 400 members from all emirates now part of the initiative. Tripoli Chamber of Commerce and BIAT Celebrate the Launch of the Agri-Agro 360 Project
The Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Tripoli and the North (CCIAT), in collaboration with Business Incubation Association in Tripoli (BIAT), has launched the Agri-Agro 360 Project, designed to support small and medium enterprises, startups, farmers, cooperatives, entrepreneurs, youth, and innovators in the field of agricultural technology. This ambitious initiative responds to the growing challenges facing the agriculture and agri-food sectors in a rapidly evolving world. It serves as a bridge between agricultural traditions and modern innovation, empowering agricultural entrepreneurs to grow and sustain their projects. The project aims to provide tailored technical and administrative support to agricultural and agri-food initiatives, enhance resilience and growth potential, and contribute to the development of the agricultural sector in Akkar and Northern Lebanon—ultimately making a positive impact on the Lebanese economy. The launch event was held in the grand hall of the Tripoli Chamber, in the presence of parliamentary, ministerial, diplomatic, economic, and union figures, as well as mayors, businesspeople, and a large crowd of interested attendees. The ceremony opened with the Lebanese national anthem, followed by welcoming remarks from media host Joe Farchakh. Chamber President Toufic Dabboussi then delivered a speech, stating: 'It brings me great joy to join you today to launch the Agri-Agro 360 Program, a pioneering project that reflects our shared commitment—as the Chamber of Tripoli and the North—to Lebanon and to agriculture as a vital driver of economic growth and sustainable development. He added: 'This program is more than a collaboration between two institutions—it is a synergy of vision and capabilities, of ambition and execution. Agri-Agro 360 is a fully integrated platform for nurturing innovative agricultural ideas and providing farmers, innovators, and entrepreneurs with comprehensive support—from training and development to marketing and export. We believe that the Lebanese agricultural sector needs only trust, support, and smart investment to thrive. Today, we take a concrete step toward that vision, hoping this program will be a true turning point that restores agriculture's standing and reinforces the farmer's role in building a productive and self-reliant economy.' He concluded: 'I thank the dedicated teams at the Tripoli Chamber and BIAT, and everyone who helped bring this project to life. Together, we plant the seeds of the future—and together, we reap hope and progress.' Nasri Mouawad, Chairman of BIAT, also spoke, emphasizing the project's significance: 'As of 2023, agriculture contributes only 1.09% to Lebanon's GDP—down from 12% in 1995. These numbers alone highlight the immense work that lies ahead. We believe in local talent and in supporting the economies of remote regions—this is exactly the role this program aims to fulfill.' Following the speeches, the Chamber's Director General Ms. Linda Sultan presented a detailed overview of the project, including its benefits and how to register for its various programs and services. After a short break, a panel discussion titled The Agricultural and Agri-Food Sectors: Challenges, Strengths, and Weaknesses was held, moderated by Joe Farchakh. Panelists included food industry expert Dr. Bachar Berrou, Ms. Nadine Khoury representing Quinta Group, Dr. Roberta Ballaa from the Agriculture Department at the University of Balamand, and Dr. Khaled Al-Omari, Director of the Quality Control Laboratories at the Tripoli Chamber. The second session, titled Success Stories and New Scientific Agricultural Approaches, featured several distinguished speakers: Dr. Antoine Daccache, founder of Agrinnovation; Engineer Charbel Abou Jaoudeh, a leading figure in olive oil production; Ms. Sarah Harb, entrepreneur and founder of Bionord; and Dr. Charbel Tawk, agricultural engineer.
