While he was out for a year and a half with an injury, WWE Superstar Randy Orton underwent a massive weight gain.

Speaking to Stephanie McMahon for What's Your Story?, Orton revealed he was over 300 pounds during his time away. He blames it on his liking of Nutella, which intensified while he was off. Luckily, he was able to get his weight back to normal before returning.
'I did take it to the extreme over the winter,' said Orton. 'I had some time off, and I was a little over 300 pounds. Like, this guy gets a spinal fusion and he gains 80 pounds. Smart. But I was off. And once I kind of got the word that you're gonna be off for a while, I was like, Okay.'
When did Randy Orton drop the weight gained during his WWE hiatus?
Orton made the 'bad weight' he gained into muscle before his WWE return at Survivor Series: WarGames in 2023. While he maintained the weight he got to, he transformed the fat into muscle.

That explains Orton's beefed up appearance upon his return. Fans noticed that Orton appeared bigger than ever. His obsession with Nutella ultimately paid off.
At Survivor Series: WarGames in November 2023, Orton made his triumphant return to the ring. He was out since May 2022 with a serious back injury. There was growing concern he may never return to the ring.
He proved his doubters wrong. Orton has remained a full-time wrestler since making his return. He feuded with the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline in 2024, and he also feuded with Gunther.
It appeared he was set to face Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 41. However, an injury suffered by Owens forced WWE to change their plans.

So, Orton was left without a dance partner for WrestleMania 41. He issued an open challenge, which was answered by TNA's Joe Hendry.
Since then, Orton competed in the 2025 King of the Ring tournament. One year earlier, he made it to the finals against Gunther. Once again, Orton lost in the finals, losing this time to Cody Rhodes.

‘Glitz, Glam, and a Damn Good Time' Review: A Wealth of Amusement

America's Gilded Age was a period characterized by massive income inequality between a superwealthy plutocracy (think Astors, Morgans and Vanderbilts) and an increasingly restive workforce. There are obvious parallels to today, including the propensity of the superrich to throw epic parties breathlessly reported in the media. In 'Glitz, Glam, and a Damn Good Time,' however, Jennifer Wright argues that those late-19th-century parties were about more than conspicuous consumption. They allowed a smart, glamorous extrovert to shed some of the stuffy constraints of her era, acquire a social power that would increase her family's prosperity and be a model for others. Marion Graves Anthon, or Mamie, as she was known, was a barely literate and rather plain young woman whose family had fallen on hard times. Her only assets were her natural wit and aplomb, but in a twist worthy of Edith Wharton, these were enough for her to snare a suitor who, according to his own family history, had been born 'with a silver spoon in his mouth big enough to be called a soup ladle.' As a young man, Stuyvesant Fish had rejected his patrician father's choice of law as a suitable career and went to work for the Illinois Central Railroad. Mamie enraptured this rather dull, Columbia-educated man, and in 1876 they married. They were a devoted couple. 'He thought she was a hoot,' Ms. Wright tells us, 'and she loved that he was a constantly amused audience for her jokes and adventures.' The Fish fortune multiplied. But while 'Stuyvesant seemed to sense that railroads were going to be huge,' Ms. Wright suggests that 'Mamie seemed to understand that extroverted, exciting women who loved the spotlight were the future.'

See it: NFL legend Tom Brady delivers heartfelt message to Cam Ward

Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Cam Ward was one of several high-profile rookies who were recently on the receiving end of a gift from Fanatics via NFL legends, coupled with an emotional and heartfelt message to each player. Future Hall of Famer Tom Brady personally greeted Ward into the league by telling him, 'You're going to grow in ways you couldn't even imagine, and I'm going to be watching, and I'm going to be pulling for you.' The message from Brady hit home, with Ward responding, 'That's crazy, for the greatest player of all time to send me a video like that.' As the video closed, Ward ended with a message that all Titans fans hope becomes reality by saying, 'I'm ready for the challenge.' After receiving the video, Ward was gifted a signed and personalized jersey from Brady. Ward wasn't the only player associated with the Titans to be involved with this promotion from Fanatics. Former Titans' great Eddie George welcomed New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo with a personal message and signed jersey. He told Skattebo, "Begin this journey with the end in mind and you'll be just fine, my man."
