Jordan Newsa day ago
Israeli Forces Continue Shelling and Demolishing Buildings in Gaza Israeli occupation forces intensified their military operations across the Gaza Strip early Monday, targeting residential areas and infrastructure in a renewed escalation. اضافة اعلان Artillery shelling and machine gun fire were reported in the vicinity of the Al-Maslakh area, west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, according to local Palestinian sources. Simultaneously, the Israeli army carried out controlled demolitions of an entire residential block in the Saudi neighborhood west of Rafah, also in the southern part of the Strip. On the 647th day of the ongoing war, Gaza's hospitals confirmed that at least 95 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes since dawn Sunday, with 52 casualties reported in Gaza City alone. The continuous bombardment and systematic destruction come amid severe humanitarian conditions, with the population facing extreme shortages of food, medicine, and shelter, and mounting civilian casualties.
This latest escalation underscores the ongoing devastation in the Gaza Strip as international efforts to broker a ceasefire remain inconclusive.

UNRWA warns of Israeli plan to create 'mass internment camps' in southern Gaza

Ammon News - Adnan Abu Hasna, media advisor to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Gaza, has raised alarm over Israel's reported plans to establish what it calls a "humanitarian city" in southern Gaza, warning that the initiative is essentially a blueprint for mass internment camps. In a press statement, Abu Hasna said Israel has long been laying the groundwork for such a plan through the establishment of aid distribution points in southern Gaza. 'Now, they are openly declaring their intent to forcibly displace the population of Gaza into collective detention camps in Rafah, as a prelude to their expulsion from Palestinian land,' he stated. He warned that this development signals Israel's continued commitment to the forced transfer of Gaza's population, expressing deep concern over the extreme pressure being applied to Palestinians. 'The total collapse of the healthcare system, absence of aid, and depletion of fuel are all being weaponized to coerce the population into voluntary displacement,' Abu Hasna said. He further cautioned that the so-called humanitarian zone is incapable of hosting Gaza's 2 million residents within just 60 square kilometers of devastated land, describing the area as uninhabitable and void of any semblance of life or future. Abu Hasna urged the international community to intervene immediately to halt what he described as a dangerous and deliberate attempt to forcibly displace Palestinians under the guise of humanitarian relief. Suicides in 'Israeli' military: Haaretz report reveals rising trend in 2025

The number of 'Israeli' soldiers who committed suicide since the start of 2025 is 15, a recent report by Haaretz said. A combat soldier took his own life in a military base in northern 'Israel' on Monday, marking the third case in eight days. The 'Israeli' military police criminal investigations department said they are currently investigating the incident. Since the start of the war on Oct. 7, 2023, 43 'Israeli' soldiers have committed suicide. The breakdown is as follows: Between Oct. 7, 2023 and end of that year: Seven soldiers 2024: 21 soldiers. 2025 (ongoing): 15 soldiers. Haaretz reported that the 'Israeli' military refused to provide the official figure for this year, saying it will only do so as at the end of 2025. Military officials cite the increasing number of active personnel as the reason for the rise in suicides, particularly reservists, as most of those who took their own life are reservists.

'Israel' says striking Hezbollah targets in east Lebanon

'Israel's' military said it was striking targets belonging to Hezbollah's elite Radwan force in eastern Lebanon on Tuesday, the latest attack despite a ceasefire between 'Israel' and the Iran-backed group. "Moments ago, Israeli Air Force fighter jets... began numerous strikes toward Hezbollah terror targets in the area of Beqaa, Lebanon," it said in a statement. "The military compounds that were struck were used by the Hezbollah terrorist organisation for training and exercising terrorists to plan and carry out terrorist attacks against (Israeli) troops and the State of Israel."
