Hawk, 27, pleaded guilty but mentally ill to voluntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and concealing the death of another.
The Atlanta rapper was originally indicted on a felony charge of malice murder, but took a plea deal for lesser charges.
He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Hawk shot his cousin, Frederick Rooks III, dead early on the morning of January 21, 2021.
Rooks, 34, was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his face and leg.
It is still unclear what led up to the shooting.
Home security camera footage from the scene caught several cars speeding away and captured at least one gunshot, cops said.
Hawk admitted to the shooting in an interview with investigators several days after it occurred, according to the DeKalb district attorney.
Bullet casings found at the scene also matched a gun Hawk had when he was arrested.
At the sentencing on Wednesday, Rooks' siblings said Hawk's sentencing should have been harsher.
"We just want justice,' Rooks' brother told the judge, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
In 2021, Hawk's manager released a statement after his arrest asking fans for their support.
"Please send my client Silentó some positive vibrations," the manager, Chanel Hudson, said at the time.
"Over the past several years, Ricky has been suffering immensely from a series of mental health illnesses.
"We will continue in his efforts of treatment, but we ask in the meantime the public uplift him and his family in immediate prayer and positive energy!!
"Ricky is a beautiful soul, and we hope that the same people who came up whipping' & nay nay-in with him, continue to support him and lifted in prayer!! God bless."
RISE TO FAME
Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) was released when Hawk was just a junior in high school in Stone Mountain, Georgia, near Atlanta.
The song charted globally and started a social media trend of people doing a dance associated with the song.
Hawk's first full-length album came out in 2019.
The next year, Hawk was arrested twice - once for driving 143 miles per hour on the highway and another time for breaking into a random home in Los Angeles with a hatchet.
Hawk's sentence includes credit for the time he's served in DeKalb County Jail since February 1, 2021.

Horrifying moment influencers are hit by a car while taste testing a burger inside a restaurant
This is the shocking moment a food influencer couple were hit 'directly' by a car while testing their burgers on camera. Nina Santiago - known online as NinaUnrated - and Patrick Blackwood were reviewing a plate of food at CuVee's Culinary Creations in Houston, Texas when an SUV crashed through the window and directly into them. As the pair dug in to their extensive spread of salmon sliders, presidential oysters and lobster, an SUV pummels through the window of and smashes into the couple's table. The influencers were then thrown from their seats and they quickly scramble away as glass rains down around them. Footage then shows the pair covered in bloody gashes as they are rushed to a local hospital in Texas. 'I'm just blessed, thank you Lord. Thank you universe. I'm just blessed and grateful for everything,' Mr Blackwood said in a video from the hospital. He added it was the 'most scariest s**t ever'. Ms Santiago seemed to remain on a hospital bed for longer and admitted 'I don't feel good' at one point. 'My body feels tight, my head hurts a little but, my jaw hurts a little bit,' she said, before adding 'I'm just glad I'm alive'. 'This is the second accident this month. The fact that we walked away from both accidents, I don't know whether we are lucky or f****d',' she went on to say. 'Its like I want to break down and cry and I just can't, I'm trying to not freak out.' The cause of the crash is unknown but local media reported that Tyler police and UT Health EMS were at the scene after the car hit the restaurant. The pair typically film themselves eating huge spreads of food and sharing the videos on social media to her hundreds of thousands of followers. In the YouTube caption that accompanied the video, the pair wrote: 'We can't even begin to express how incredibly fortunate we feel to be alive after what happened to us. 'We were just sitting in a cosy booth at our favourite restaurant, enjoying happy hour with an amazing spread salmon sliders, presidential oysters, a macaroni and cheese flight (classic, lobster, and truffle), shrimp and grits, and some refreshing drinks. 'We were laughing, having a great time, and right as we tapped our sliders together in a "boom!" cheers moment, out of nowhere, this SUV came barrelling through the glass wall at 35-40 mph. 'No warning at all glass shattered everywhere, chaos erupted, and it hit right next to Patrick on the outside of the booth. 'We were inches from disaster, but by some miracle, we're both okay, just shaken and forever changed. 'This terrifying experience has made us realize just how precious life is. 'Tomorrow is not promised do what you want to do today, live happy today, let go of everything holding you back, and forgive everybody. 'You don't have time for that nonsense. We truly feel like we've been given a second chance, and we're committed to making the most of it. 'We're aiming to be beyond great amazing and we're working on ourselves every day to become better people and crush our goals. 'We wish you all the best in life. Stay safe out there because life is so unexpected. That SUV came out of nowhere, and all we were doing was enjoying a simple meal.' Ms Santiago went on to share some further snaps of their bloody wounds and their trip in hospital. She wrote in the accompanying caption: 'I'm beyond grateful to be alive after an SUV crashed through the glass wall at @cuveesculinarycreations in Houston, TX, shattering everything while @iampatrickblackwood and I recorded an eating show. 'It hit us directly me on his left, him on my right as I bit into a delicious salmon slider. Out of nowhere, but we survived. 'This experience showed me who truly matters; life's too short for grudges or anger. Let go, forgive, live in the now, and cherish those around you this could've been our last meal. 'Thankful to the universe and our angel pup Loyal, who passed in Nov 2024 and protected us from above.'

David Schwimmer looks somber as 'Ketamine Queen' drug dealer pleads guilty to supplying Matthew Perry's fatal dose
looked downcast as he attended the opening night for Broadway show Take A Banana For The Ride in NYC on Tuesday. The actor, 58, made his red carpet appearance as his former co-star Matthew Perry's 'Ketamine Queen' drug dealer took a plea deal for supplying the star's fatal dose. Jasveen Sangha made a guilty plea deal in connection with the October 2023 drug overdose death of Matthew at 54. A source close to the case exclusively told The Daily Mail that prior to the deal Sangha was initially facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison. Under the plea agreement, that mandatory minimum has been lifted, allowing Sangha to potentially receive a sentence of less than 10 years. David and Matthew worked together for ten years on hit sitcom Friends. Matthew was found dead face down in his jacuzzi on October 29, 2023, leaving Hollywood shaken to its core after he bravely shared details of his addiction struggles with the public to dissuade others from following a similar path. Months later, a medical examiner determined that the actor - who had battled substance abuse issues throughout his life - had died of the 'acute effects of ketamine.' Legal analyst and federal criminal defense attorney Lou Shapiro told the Daily Mail he wasn't surprised Sangha decided to take the plea deal, especially since her co-defendants had done so earlier. The attorney said: 'When you look at the overwhelming evidence against her and what they found at her place alone - the drugs, the manufacturing equipment and the money - and tons of it, she was basically toast. 'There was nowhere for her to go. It wasn't if she was going to take the deal, it was a matter of just when.' Shapiro added: 'Even if you don't intentionally try to harm somebody or cause them great bodily injury or death, the mere fact that you are engaging in a conduct that is very likely going to result in death, you're going to be held accountable for it.' Shapiro argued that any arguments presented would have quickly crumbled under legal scrutiny and added: 'You can't look the other way and say, "I was just selling it. I was doing him a favor," That is not going to fly. 'This also sends a big message to the medical industry that doctors will be held fully accountable for death to bodily injury that results in their patients when they are merely prescribing drugs. 'These doctors knew what was going on and they fully participated in supplying Matthew Perry with as much ketamine as he wanted.' Shapiro cited court records in which the doctors themselves marveled at the extent of Perry's addiction and lengths he was willing to go to in his quest to get his next fix. He said: 'They even called him an 'idiot' at one point in their text messages,' Shapiro said. 'I think the medical community also will look at this as a tragedy for the loss of life but also, they are people who worked hard to become medical professionals. 'Instead, these doctors threw all of that away for greed.'
