But it will feel like a homecoming for many of the top stars on the billing following their careers, which saw them playing at the Red Devils' home for many years.
As many as NINE former Man Utd players have signed up for the event across both teams, not to mention the fans of the club also gearing up to play.
The ex-pros include many stars who have tried their hand at coaching and management, such as Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick, and others who are now household names in punditry, like Gary Neville or Paul Scholes.
That quartet will be lining up for team England, with Rooney also in the managerial dugout.

Edwin van der Sar, Nemanja Vidic, John O'Shea, and Carlos Tevez will all be taking to the pitch, while legendary goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel will be barking orders from the sideline as the team manager.
The ex-stars will also be joined by a sizeable contingent of celebrity Man Utd fans.
Among them will be businessman Steven Bartlett, content creators AngryGinge and TBJZL, boxer Tyson Fury, musicians Nick Byrne and Dermot Kennedy, ex-rugby star Bryan Habana and actor Noah Beck.

Despite this large contingent of Man Utd support, there will be a notable absence of super fan Usain Bolt.

Cocaine shame of the school-gate mums: I thought I was unshockable says ANNA MELTON... then I watched them pull out their 'treats' in the most immoral place imaginable

My five-year-old son Jack* had only been at primary school for a few weeks when we were invited to a birthday party for one of his classmates. Though I barely knew the birthday boy's mum – a glamorous fashion buyer who I'll call Cleo – she was warm and welcoming when we arrived at their beautiful double-fronted property in south London, spread out over four floors.

Daniel Dubois' coach who played crucial role in Anthony Joshua fight QUITS just weeks after Oleksandr Usyk defeat

DANIEL DUBOIS' latest rebuild will have to happen without popular padman Kieran Farrell. The 35-year-old former lightweight - who almost lost his life in his final 2013 fight with fellow Manchester hero Anthony Crolla - played a pivotal role in Dubois' run to the IBF heavyweight world title win over Anthony Joshua. 2 2 But - following the shambolic build-up to the undisputed clash with Oleksandr Usyk, where the 27-year-old's dad threatened to pull his son from the fight if his unticketed entourage were not let into Wembley - Farrell has quietly parted company. Farrell said: 'I have made the decision to part ways with Team Dubois. 'In the 18 months we've achieved so much, including an unforgettable night at Wembley stadium. 'Helping Daniel become world heavyweight champion has been truly rewarding on a number of levels. I wish Daniel all the best going forward 'I won't be making any further comment at present, but needless to say I'm excited for what's next for myself and look forward to making many more world champions.' Farrell was brought on board by Dubois head trainer Don Charles but it remains to be seen if the Nigeria-born coach keeps his job in the aftermath of the underwhelming defeat. Charles defended Dave Dubois' decision to hold a gathering at the family home just hours before the July 19 bout. But the overbearing father has form for axing training teams, following stints with Martin Bowers at The Peacock gym and Shane McGuigan. Dubois was dropped twice in the fifth round by the Ukraine icon but did not suffer a concussive knockdown before being counted out. Promoter Frank Warren confirmed he will need around six months to recover and return.

‘Really good against mannequins' – Sir Alex Ferguson's son Darren launches furious rant about his own players

SIR ALEX FERGUSON'S son Darren was a chip off the old block with a furious rant aimed at his own players. The Peterborough United manager produced a scathing rant that his old man would be proud of after his side's "embarrassing" 2-1 defeat to Accrington Stanley in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night. 1 He also said his League One players would be "really good against mannequins" as they went 1-0 down inside ONE-MINUTE. They then conceded another goal on 25 minutes, before pulling one back late in the second-half. Ferguson said: 'I was embarrassed by the first half and so should the players be. "There are things you need to do to play for my teams and that was really missing in the first half. Does it really take a b********g from me and to be 2-0 down to wake up? "We're not that good. I have just asked them why that happened and I had no answer. 'It was nothing to do with formations. Our width comes from full backs and we don't get crosses into the box. "If I felt it was the formation I would say so. That was not to blame tonight. "I protect my team a lot, but I am not taking that one. That performance is on them. I don't say that often, but they have to take responsibility. I find it hard to defend that first half." Peterborough have lost all three of their opening games across all competitions and already sit all the way down in 21st in the table. Posh travel to the Brick Community Stadium to face Wigan Athletic in a league fixture on Saturday August 16. He added: "What we are is a really good team against mannequins but when teams tackle us, we are really struggling. "In that first half we so far away from what we expect, but you can't have a first half like that and expect to get through a cup game. "That is so far show from the desire, running, tackling etc we expect from a Peterborough United player. 'I try to stay positive but I find it hard to defend that first half. I'm embarrassed by the first half. There was no desire. It's a really disappointing night.'
