‘Kun Faya Kun' devotional video earns widespread acclaim

Qatar-based Mazhar Yousafzay's heartfelt rendition of 'Kun Faya Kun' song in collaboration with renowned Khyber Pakhtunkhwa vocalist Asfandyar Momand, has deeply moved audiences across the region—earning acclaim for its spiritual depth and cultural authenticity. Shared on TikTok and YouTube, the beautifully produced video has earned widespread praise for its emotional depth and cultural resonance. Set against the backdrop of a breathtaking location in KPK, duo's Pashto-language rendition of 'Kun Faya Kun' unfolds as a heartfelt prayer and soulful plea to Allah. The video's emotional resonance has sparked a wave of social media reels, amassing tens of millions of views and listens across platforms. 'It was an honour to collaborate with Asfandyar Momand, the celebrated voice of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Recording alongside someone who is not only a close friend but truly like a brother to me was a privilege I'll always cherish,' remarked Youzafzay, who works in Qatar's hotel management sector. 'Singing has always been my passion since childhood. During my school and college years, I often performed naats and patriotic songs—those experiences truly nurtured my love for music. I prefer recording pieces that carry a positive message for society,' shared Youzafzay. The duo is now preparing for their next collaboration: a project that will spotlight traditional Pashto tappay—the cherished folk couplets that echo the emotional depth, resilience, and cultural heritage.
