Man United 'set to hold talks with European giants' TODAY over Jadon Sancho deal - as Red Devils try to move on outcast this summer
Manchester United are reportedly set to discuss Jadon Sancho 's future with a major European club.
The Red Devils are looking to offload Sancho after Chelsea paid a £5million fee at the end of his loan to escape their £25m obligation to sign him.
Sancho has not played for United in the Premier League since August 2023 after an explosive falling-out with then-manager Erik Ten Hag.
The Sun reported on Tuesday how Jose Mourinho is willing to offer the 25-year-old a lifeline at Fenerbahce.
But it now appears that an even bigger fish has entered the pond, with Juventus set to hold a video call with United over Sancho on Wednesday, as per Gianluca Di Marzio.
Sancho's £250,000-per-week pay packet could be a stumbling block and United had to pay around £100,000 of that when he joined Borussia Dortmund on loan in 2023-24.
The former England star had hoped to reboot his career in London after falling out of favour at United due to his clash with Ten Hag.
Ten Hag had criticised Sancho's performances in training after he was left out of a squad to face Arsenal in 2023, with the player branding the words 'completely untrue' in a social media post that was later deleted.
But Sancho struggled for consistency over the 2024-25 season, though did score in the Conference League final against Real Betis, which Chelsea won 4-1.
That said, he did become a popular player within the Chelsea changing room and did himself more favours than if he had stayed on the sidelines at Old Trafford.
Sancho had flashes of brilliance for Enzo Maresca's side - fans even sang his name as he came off the bench to set up the winner against Bournemouth in September.
For the 23-time England international, this was a move to the club he had supported as a child and a chance to rebuild his reputation after a middling spell at United.
United signed Sancho for £73m in 2021 after being impressed by his scintillating form at Borussia Dortmund, but he never reached the heights he had in Germany.
Sancho proved has still has quality in his locker at Chelsea, as seen in his daring run and stunning finish from outside the box against Tottenham in December.

But he was ultimately unable to bring end product on a consistent basis, scoring five and assisting 10 in 42 games across all competitions.
Sancho's contract with United runs until 2026 and includes the option of a further year.
Ruben Amorim's system does not accommodate wingers and therefore it is likely to see him getting squeezed out.

Former England manager Sir Gareth Southgate says he does not miss managing the Three Lions and carrying the "weight" of the job. EASTBOURNE, England, June 25 (Reuters) - Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova saved match points for the second successive day against a British opponent to reach the quarter-finals of the Eastbourne WTA 250 event on Wednesday. The 29-year-old Czech was troubled by a thigh strain and looked on the verge of being knocked out by Jodie Burrage when she served at 5-6 in the deciding set and fell 0-40 behind but she somehow turned it around to win 6-4 4-6 7-6(3). Second seed Krejcikova, who beat Italy's Jasmine Paolini to win last year's Wimbledon title, was leading by a set and a break of serve but needed treatment on her leg. Burrage, ranked 164th in the world, played impressively to hit back and broke Krejcikova's serve to level the match -- one point being awarded to her after a forehand from her opponent found its way through a hole in the net. The 26-year-old British player kept just ahead in the decider but she could not take any of the three match points that came her way and then a costly double-fault in the tiebreak offered up match points to Krejcikova, who made no mistake. "Another tough match," Krejcikova, who also has a French Open singles crown to her name, said on court. "Brits know how to play on grass and it's hard to play against them but happy I'm through.
