Daizen Maeda scoops Celtic PPOTY gong as surprise scorer lands award for strike of the season
It's awards season at the Hoops with a number of big winners on the night in the club's in house ceremony
Celtic have one again been the dominant force in Scotland having already bagged the league title and Premier Sports Cup.
The Scottish Cup and another domestic Treble could follow in a matter of weeks with Aberdeen standing in the way of Brendan Rodgers and his troops when they go head to head at Hampden.
As a team, they've dominated and at the Player of the Year bash, one man did the exact same as he scooped his own hat-trick of awards.
It will come as no surprise that Daizen Maeda scooped a host of awards to cap of what has been a stunning season so far - with three league games and the end of season showpiece to come to add to his incredible numbers.
In 48 games across all competitions he's netted 33 goals and provided 12 assists.
Nicolas Kuhn has also had a season to remember and got off to a flying start this season. His form dried up but he was back with two goals against Dundee United to take his own record to 20 goals and 14 assists in 47 outings.
That is some return on the park but was it enough for a personal accolade at the club bash? Record Sport lists all the award winners as they are announced.
Academy Player of the Year - Kyle Ure
A campaign to remember with impressive performances both on home soil and in Europe.
A taste of the UEFA Youth League with Celtic including seven appearances and one goal against the likes of Dortmund, Atalanta, Leipzig and Salzburg.
Second place finish in the Lowland League behind champions East Kilbride with just four losses in 34 games.
Five goals in 31 appearances for the youngster who scoops the top award.
Women's Goal of the Season -
It was a Champions League season to remember at Celtic for both the men and women's teams.
And for Shannon McGregor, her strike against FC Gintra is one she won't forget in a hurry as she cut in and curled home from the angle of the box in superb fashion.
The Hoops would go on to reach the Champions League proper and face the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid on the biggest stage.
Men's Goal of the Season - Cameron Carter-Vickers (vs Kilmarnock)
A key man ever since his arrival at Celtic and once again proven himself a standout in Brendan Rodgers' treble chasers.
More known for his work at the other end of the park but an incredible strike against Kilmarnock has won him goal of the season.
After collecting a pass he drove into an attacking position before unleashing an unstoppable effort into the top corner.
Men's Players' Player of the Year - Daizen Maeda
Hardly a surprise this one.
Every team-mate is always full of praise and compliments for his effort and graft on and off the ball.
His goal contribution and assists have been off the scale in an incredible season.
Deserved recognition from his Celtic colleagues - but with three league games and the Scottish Cup Final to come he will be desperate for another winners medal and a few more goals on his tally.

Chelsea CONFIRM signing of Liam Delap after beating Man Utd to £30m transfer for Ipswich star
CHELSEA have confirmed the signing of Liam Delap after beating Manchester United to the £30million Ipswich star. Delap, 22, has joined the Blues on a six-year contract after his release clause was met following Ipswich's relegation to the Championship. 2 The striker emerged as Enzo Maresca's preferred attacking target after netting 12 Premier League goals for the Tractor Boys. And their time together at Manchester City also played a pivotal role in Delap's decision to snub fellow suitors United. The forward is now set to make an immediate debut for his new side at the Club World Cup. In a statement on the club's website, he said: "I understand the stature of this club and can see the trajectory it is on with these players and the head coach. "It's going to be an incredible place for me to develop, and I hope to achieve amazing things here and help the club win more trophies." Delap will battle Nicolas Jackson for a spot up front, with the England U21s star hoping to become Chelsea's starting hitman for the new Premier League season. The former Stoke, Preston and Hull loanee has also been reunited with several of his City youth team-mates in Cole Palmer and Romeo Lavia. Their relationship through the centre of the park could play a pivotal role in any future Chelsea success. And Delap will be eager to help the Blues seal some silverware after Maresca's men won last week's Conference League final against Real Betis. The two-time Premier League winner with Man City had initially looked destined for a move to their rivals United. From embarrassing Chelsea pal to interview with dad - Five times Cole Palmer stole show AFTER Conference League finals 2 The Red Devils are keen on attacking reinforcements, having already shelled out £62.5m on Wolves' Matheus Cunha. But the prospect of linking up with some familiar faces, plus the pull of Champions League football, swung the decision in Chelsea's favour. The Blues are expected to continue their major squad rebuild with more incomings and outgoings this summer. They have already welcomed Kendry Paez, Estevao Willian and Dario Essugo to Stamford Bridge. While a new winger and centre-back are also highly desired by Maresca. Borussia Dortmund's Jamie Gittens and Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi are among those on his wishlist. And Chelsea also remain in talks with Jadon Sancho's representatives over a permanent move from Manchester United. In terms of outgoings, the likes of Christopher Nkunku, Joao Felix and even Noni Madueke could be heading out. Misfits including Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell will also be moved on. And with £1.2billion already spent under Todd Boehly, Chelsea fans will be hoping to finally challenge for the title next season.

Chelsea confirm £30m signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town as striker becomes Enzo Maresca's second summer arrival
Chelsea have completed the signing of Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap after triggering his £30million release clause. The 22-year-old becomes Enzo Maresca 's second signing of the summer after Dario Essugo as the Blues prepare for life back in the Champions League next season. The two clubs came to an agreement over Delap last week, and after undergoing a medical he has put pen to paper on a long-term contract at Stamford Bridge. The striker had accrued interest from Manchester United, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Everton, after an impressive first full season in the Premier League. Ipswich paid £20m when they signed Delap from Manchester City last summer, and the eight-time Premier League champions will bank 30 per cent of the fee as per their sell-on clause. Despite it being a difficult season for the Tractor Boys, in which they were relegated back down to the Championship, Delap scored 12 Premier League goals in his 37 appearances. Delap impressed for Ipswich in what was a poor season for the club, scoring 12 league goals Chelsea are one of the many Premier League teams who are in need of a striker and have got business done early, with FIFA having introduced a June 1-10 transfer window before the Club World Cup. Main man Nicolas Jackson netted two fewer Premier League goals than Delap, and when absent through injury Maresca had limited options up front. The Italian boss is believed to have spoken with Delap as Chelsea pitched their project after he was given permission by his club to speak with suitors. The clubs then managed to agree to what is a cut-price valuation, which came into effect after Ipswich's drop into the second tier of English football. Talks are ongoing over the possibility of Chelsea forward Marc Guiu, who has made 14 appearances for the Blues, moving to Portman Road on loan in a separate deal. The revamped Club World Cup does clash with the Under-21 European Championship in Slovakia this summer, but Chelsea have the power to take Delap to the United States instead. Maresca has also set his sights on bringing in a winger to accompany their new frontman, reportedly starting talks over a potential £50m move for Borussia Dortmund's Jamie Gittens. Chelsea first reported their interest in Gittens, 20, when they enquired about his services in January, and according to the Telegraph, they are now ready to act. The England Under-21s starlet is believed to have a release clause around the £50m mark, with many of European football's elite clubs circling. Now that Chelsea will not be turning Jadon Sancho's loan into a permanent move - with the Blues paying a £5million penalty fee to send him back to Manchester United - the Gittens deal is now taking their full attention. The west London side are believed to be pushing for a deal to be completed quickly due to both their and Dortmund's participation in the Club World Cup. The winger is the next star off of the Bundesliga production line, following in the footsteps of both Sancho and Jude Bellingham by shining in Dortmund. After breaking through in the 2023-24 campaign, Gittens truly began to shine in the last 12 months, scoring 12 goals and bagging five assists in all competitions last season. He also made history in the Champions League, becoming the youngest English player to score in the tournament when he found the net against 15-time winners Real Madrid, aged just 20 and 75 days.

Brailsford to step back from Man Utd in another major Ratcliffe reshuffle
Sir Dave Brailsford will step back from his role at Manchester United as Sir Jim Ratcliffe changes his hierarchy with the cycling icon turning his attention to other roles in the Ineos structure Sir Dave Brailsford is set to step back from his current role with Manchester United as Sir Jim Ratcliffe continues to change his hierarchy - which has so fair failed to yield any success at Old Trafford. The cycling supremo will return to his director of sport role for Ineos. He had previously stood down as team principal of Ineos Grenadiers when Ratcliffe purchased his stake in United and took charge of football operations. Brailsford was initially crucial to the change the new owners wanted to implement. The Times reports that Ratcliffe wants Brailsford to return to his former role so that he can oversee transitions elsewhere in Ineos sport portfolio whilst also reviving some of his focus on cycling. Brailsford is due to aid the Ineos Grenadiers management team of John Allert, the chief executive, and performance director Scott Drawer. Ratcliffe has remained committed to his cycling projects despite majorly cutting back in some of his other investments. Sponsorship of the All Blacks has ended and the British billionaire has also called time on his pursuit of the America's Cup. Despite the well documented struggles in Manchester Ratcliffe believes Brailsford has played a major role in the positive transitions that have been made. He's credited with changing the performance set-up and leading the £50m redevelopment of Carrington. The Ineos Sport's team unit led by Brailsford will again be managing Ratcliffe's other football investment, Ligue 1 club Nice, who failed to qualify for the Champions League. United have endured plenty of upheaval in the senior management since Ineos took over, some of it not welcome. Dan Ashworth was brought in to be the director of football but left after only five months in charge despite the club chasing him for a prolonged period when he was at Newcastle. The decisions taken by the hierarchy have also proved massively unpopular with a huge number of jobs cut. United's season finished with a whimper as they eventually ended in 15th - a new low in the Premier League. That came after they were beaten in the Europa League final by Tottenham, which cost them a spot in the Champions League and the riches that come with that. The hierarchy are also under the microscope as they look to make their latest managerial decision work. Ruben Amorim was bought in but has endured a horror few months. That comes after Ratcliffe's lieutenants chose to keep Erik ten Hag last summer, only to sack him shortly after.
