
Noida International Airport partners with Uber for mobility solutions
Noida International Airport
(NIA) has partnered with
Uber
to provide passengers with seamless and efficient
transportation solutions
directly from the airport, offering dedicated pick-up zones, on-ground assistance, and reduced estimated arrival times.
Under the agreement, Uber will operate dedicated pick-up zones at the airport. These zones will be complemented by on-ground assistance to guide passengers.
Step-by-step wayfinding will also be available, assisting riders from the gate to the Uber pickup zones. To further enhance convenience, Uber driver-partners will have exclusive parking spaces, contributing to reduced estimated arrival times (ETAs) for riders.
'Our goal is to make every part of the passenger journey efficient and comfortable—from door to door,' said Christoph Schnellmann, CEO, Noida International Airport.
Benefits for consumers-
-Passengers using Uber at NIA can expect several benefits. These include real-time ride tracking and estimated arrival times via the mobile app.
-Cashless payment options will also be available for added convenience. This allows for a hassle-free payment experience.
-Passengers will have access to driver and vehicle details. An in-app emergency/SOS button will also be provided for safety.
-Multiple ride categories will be offered, including UberGo, Uber Premier, and UberXL (SUV) options. This provides flexibility to suit different needs and preferences.
-Uber services will be available 24/7, ensuring reliable transport at any hour. This caters to passengers arriving or departing at any time.

Beyond the airport use case, spikes in Reserve bookings were observed during wedding seasons, exam dates, and major festivals like Diwali, Eid, and Christmas, where the usage increased almost 15% ahead of public holidays. Intercity travel using Reserve also rose significantly, up 40% during the Diwali festive period, and close to 30% over long weekends during 2024. According to the company, bookings for the service nearly tripled year-on-year, with a growing number of users opting to plan their travel in advance for work, airport commutes , and public holidays . The platform noted that nearly one in four airport drop-offs were made using Uber Reserve, with Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai leading in usage.
