The hybrid meeting was attended by senior officers, DMs, SPs and police commissioners.
Even thought the CM didn't make any mention of the state's tussle with the EC, her statements came on a day when the EC asked Bengal chief secretary Manoj Pant to physically appear before it in Delhi and explain the action taken against four state officers and a data entry operator. The EC wants the state to suspend the five, draw FIRs, and take disciplinary action.
The Bengal govt has removed two from poll duty and has ordered an inquiry against all five.
Sources said that the CM made it clear at the meeting that those involved in electoral roll revision could not be intimidated. Accusing Assam govt of putting Bengal residents under NRC threat, Banerjee stated that Bengal would not bow down and urged officers to fight to protect the rights of Bengal's people.

A 46-year-old TMC worker was shot dead in Bankura's Sonamukhi on Monday night. The CM asked SPs and CPs to take control instead of delegating responsibility to ICs or OCs and asked them to supervise police work properly. She asked the senior cops to be proactive in preventing crimes like murder, sources said.
Banerjee also asked the district administration to help migrant workers returning to the state. She instructed the DMs to take initiatives, help in getting children of migrant workers admitted to schools and provide health care if needed. The CM also asked officials to include the returning migrant workers under the Karmashree scheme.
Banerjee emphasised the need for increasing publicity for 'Amader Para Amader Samadhan' camps so more people could join the camps. APAS camps have already seen a footfall of around 30 lakh.
