He also explained that his doctor believes the illness developed due to football.
The 57-year-old added: "The neurologist who did my scan said there are 68 tracts in the brain and 27 of mine are damaged.

Russell Martin kickstarts Rangers overhaul as Ibrox club announce first major departure of new era
Martin is beginning to put his stamp on things at Ibrox Rangers have confirmed the departure of first-team coach Issame Charai. Former Morocco Under-23 head coach Charai only arrived at Ibrox in January to work under Philippe Clement - and was the only member of the coaching team to remain from the Belgian's era to work under Barry Ferguson. But in a statement on Friday night, Gers have announced that Charai has left the club by mutual consent as Russell Martin pieces together his own backroom team. Charai said: 'As I leave Rangers, I want to thank everyone at the club for their support during my time here. 'This is a really special club, and as it enters a new era, I want to wish everyone associated with the club the very best for what comes next. 'Above all, I want to thank the Rangers supporters for their amazing backing across the period. "We had some high moments and some low moments, but their support was the constant. It is something I will always remember and be forever grateful for.' Chief executive Patrick Stewart added: 'I want to place on record the sincere thanks of both the club and I to Issame for his work over the past six months. 'Through the managerial transition in February and beyond, he handled himself superbly and was a real asset to Barry and his staff during their period in charge of the team. 'As the men's first-team moves forth into this new era under Russell, it has been agreed between the club and Issame for him to move on. 'For whatever comes next for him, I want to wish him the very best of luck. He will always be welcome back at Ibrox.' Emma Raducanu gets treatment for back injury in worrying scenes as she crashes out of Queen's 17 days before Wimbledon
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) EMMA RADUCANU took a medical timeout and struggled with a niggling back injury as she crashed out of the Queen's tournament. Seventeen days before Wimbledon opens its doors for the 2025 Championships, the biggest name in British tennis is once again having to manage her body amid physical problems. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 Emma Raducanu needed treatment during her quarter-final at Queen's Credit: PA 3 She was beaten by Qinwen Zheng Credit: Getty After losing the first set of her quarter-final tie with Qinwen Zheng, on the hottest day of the year thus far, the Kent hitter went to the changing rooms to undergo treatment. It all relates to back spasms she suffered before the French Open and prior to arriving in Paris, the 22-year-old had to overcome her fear of needles to undergo acupuncture to help cure the pain. It was on these grounds nearly 12 months ago that Andy Murray injured his back and ended up never playing another singles match. It is not as severe as that but still, those in Raducanu's camp will be praying this incident does not disrupt her plans as she hopes to play in Berlin next week and then Eastbourne before a fourth appearance in the Wimbledon main draw. Zheng, the world No.5, won 6-2 6-4 in a drawn-out affair and will now face an American in the semi-finals – it will either be Emma Navarro or Amanda Anisimova on Saturday. Before walking out into the Andy Murray Arena, Raducanu made a point of taking AirPods out of her ears and putting them away, presumably because she wanted to hear the roar of the public for her entrance. How Zheng would cope mentally with a packed crowd cheering against her would play a significant role in the outcome of this contest. The Olympic singles champion, 22, was not exactly in the fans' good books when she decided in game six, while on break point on Raducanu's serve, to change her shoes. Pimm's-fuelled punters were not having any of it and slow-clapped while she sat on her chair and booed when she returned to the baseline, even though Zheng apologised several times for the interruption. 'It's wildly inappropriate' - Moment Emma Raducanu's opponent intervenes and ushers cameraman away 3 Raducanu was unconvincing on her own serve and looked tense and nervous in the opening games and was even questioning some of the calls made by the new electric line calling system. There were two chances, at 4-2 down in the first set, where she might have broken back immediately but Zheng, a huge star in her homeland, fought off those moments. Zheng – who had only won FOUR matches on grass before facing the 2021 US Open champion – sealed the first set with 49 minutes on the clock. It was in bizarre circumstances as she was on the floor, having slipped over again, but Raducanu failed to find the open court, hitting the ball into the net. A set down, Raducanu went backstage and took a medical timeout as she had treatment on a troublesome lower back region. During the first set, she could be seen stretching her back during a changeover. These were worrying scenes but unfortunately a situation that has become all too familiar with Raducanu since that historic Slam win in New York in September 2021. Perhaps a surge of adrenaline explains how she came out looking like a different player in the second set, racing into a 3-0 and then 4-2 lead, the first break in game one courtesy of a Zheng double fault. But with the temperature gauge recording 27.5 degrees, Raducanu felt the heat and soon it was 4-4 apiece as she gifted a break to her opponent due to her sixth of seven double faults in the match. Though she managed to stave off three match points in game 10, Zheng progressed when Raducanu's forehand sailed long.

Celtic 'expected' to complete Benjamin Nygren signing
The 23-year-old scored 16 goals in 32 games for Danish top-flight outfit Nordsjaelland last season. The Parkhead club have been linked with a move for Nygren over the past 48 hours, and now well-placed Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims that the player has chosen to join Celtic over Anderlecht following talks. After talks with his representatives, #RSCA understood Nygren choose for the Scottish club over them. The Swedish's now expected to complete his move to Premiership. #mercato #JPL — Sacha Tavolieri (@sachatavolieri) June 13, 2025 Recently addressing his future, Nygren admitted he will leave Nordsjaelland: "It's clear that there is a lot of interest," he told fotbollskanalen. "I have done extremely well this whole season. I have scored 15 goals and a few assists in a position as a number ten. "I am not a number nine who will score goals but more of a player who will create chances and set up others. "But this season I have scored a lot of goals and shown my qualities. I did that last season too, and I was injured for half of that season. "It is a league and a team that has a lot of interest and eyes on them, and I have been a big contributing factor to us being as good as we have been. "I will leave. I'm not thinking about the league, but more about coming to a club that shares my ambitions and that believes in me." Brendan Rodgers has already added Kieran Tierney to his ranks this summer. It now looks like Nygren could become Celtic's second signing of the window.
