It's reported that the scene was a last-minute change for the latest episode of Emmerdale.
Discussing the extra scene, Emmerdale producer, Laura Shaw, said: 'With the nation getting behind the Lionesses, we knew the fictional characters in Emmerdale would've been doing just the same so it felt right and proper that we should reflect this result on the show.'
Emmerdale is not the only celebration to mark the historic win, with a Downing Street reception planned for today (July 28).
A post shared by Lionesses (@lionesses)
The reception at No. 10 will be hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner and sports minister Stephanie Peacock.

Axed Coronation Street star says he ‘disgraced' himself after soap exit
Former Coronation Street star Colson Smith has revealed he 'disgraced himself', having made an epic blunder while filming an upcoming episode of The Weakest Link. Craig, best known to soap fans as loveable police officer Craig Tinker, spilled the tea to his On The Sofa podcast co-hosts, Ben Price (Nick Tilsley) and Jack P Shepherd (David Platt), revealing the cock-up he made while taking part in BBC game show. He said: 'there was one question where I completely disgraced myself.' During the picture round of the game, host Romesh Ranganathan asked Colson: 'On your screen now, Colson, is a tennis player who is named after a planet. What is her name?' Despite 'knowing now' that the player in question was legendary Venus Williams, he answered 'Jupiter Williams' in a moment he predicts will 'go viral'. He did reveal, however, that despite the incident, he wasn't the first celebrity to be eliminated. His appearance on the show comes among other other new roles for Colson, along with appearing on Celebrity Mastermind and guest hosting This Morning. More Trending Colson departed Coronation Street this year after his character met a bloody and violent end. He was attacked while on duty by Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton), who struck him over the head with a baseball bat. Craig was rushed to hospital, but as his condition deteriorated and CPR proved futile, he was pronounced dead, causing heartbreak for fans across the nation. Colson had previously announced his character's axing, saying at the time: 'Autumn last year I was told that Craig Tinker's time on the Cobbles is to come to end in 2025. Love Island spoilers: Meg and Dejon clash AGAIN over chemistry with Yas and another couple are abruptly dumped
Friday's instalment of Love Island sees Meg and Dejon clash yet again over Yas while another couple is abruptly dumped from the villa. If one dumping wasn't enough, another couple will leave the villa after Thursday's episode of the ITV2 show saw Blu and Helena get the boot. It was shortly after eager fans spotted the boys filming in the village of Sant Llorenç in Mallorca - and Blu was nowhere to be seen. The boys all head out to get some bits from the shop ahead of their dates with the girls. They head off to the shops in high spirits to get a present for their other half. Despite the thoughtful gift, and cooking dinner for Meg, she argues with him about their co-star and his former fling Yas. The most recent episode of Love Island saw the couples take part in the Knowing Me, Knowing You Challenge. During one of the questions, Dejon picks Yas - who he had a flirt with at the start of the series. Meg is left feeling confused about the situation and decides to talk to Yas about it. She tells her: 'I've heard through the grapevine that you got the question wrong and D's name was written on the board. 'I wanted you to explain it because in challenges and stuff, everyone's always got a bad word to say about D. 'So, for you then to write him on the board, it was like "what's this about?" 'Am I missing something?' And although the boys have come back with thoughtful gifts and cooked dinner for their girls, Meg decides that it is the best time to bring the conversation up. But Dejon tells her: 'I can't believe these are our final days and we're arguing over Yas - change the topic.' 'You're still not getting where I'm coming from,' Meg tells him. And a confused Dejon asks: 'Where are you coming from? What is your point?' To make matters worse, one Islander gets a text that says: 'Islanders. The public have been voting for the most compatible couple. 'The couple with the fewest votes and therefore dumped from the island tonight is…' The next Islander to receive a text reads out who has been dumped from the show. Who do you think will be axed from the show next? Last night Love Island fans have claimed Dejon has ' shown his true colours' with a TV show comment and say he and Megan Moore 'won't last three months'. Viewers were left outraged after they witnessed Dejon be confronted by girlfriend Megan over his romantic confession for show favourite, Yasmin. On the show Dejon has come under fire for his behaviour towards Meg after keeping her around but continuously flirting with every bombshell that enters the villa. And while the couple have appeared to go from strength to strength as they are now officially boyfriend and girlfriend and confessed that they 'love' each other. But there seems to be trouble in paradise as Meg told Dejon he had not been completely honest once again about his antics around Yas. During a game of Knowing Me, Knowing You, the islanders were asked who they would couple up with if they were not with their current partners. Dejon confessed that he would couple up with Yas because he has previously explored that connection earlier in the season. The comment shocked Meg as she explained Dejon had never expressed that she would be his number two in the competition before. Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. Legendary Coronation Street star confirms they're leaving soap after a decade on screens - leaving soap fans 'heartbroken'
A beloved Coronation Street star has announced her departure from the ITV soap after a decade in Weatherfield, leaving heartbroken fans reeling. The actor confirmed the news on Instagram in a heartfelt post that sent shockwaves through the fanbase, with many branding the exit 'the worst news.' Sally Ann Matthews revealed she is saying goodbye to Jenny Connor, the fiery landlady of the Rovers Return. Sally, 54, first joined the cobbles back in 1986 before returning in 2015 for what was supposed to be a five-month stint, but turned into ten years. Taking to Instagram on Friday, she wrote: 'I was supposed to stay for five months but ended up doing an extra ten years because I loved it so much! 'It's time, though, to play those parts I always hoped I would when I'd "grown up." Thanks Trafford Wharf Rd for the memories and endless laughter.' Fans immediately flooded the comments, with one devastated viewer writing: 'Are you as heartbroken as me?' Another said: 'Oh my god no! Jenny Connor what am I to do without you on the cobbles?' A third chimed in with: 'You know how much we absolutely adore you, absolutely gutted to see you go, Thank you for all the memories, you have my support forever and ever.' The emotional farewell comes just as a new storyline for Jenny was teased this week, hinting at a potential romance for the iconic character - though it now appears the fling will be short-lived. Earlier this year, Jenny's stepdaughter Daisy Midgeley fled the Street with Jenny's money, fuelling rumours that Sally Ann's exit might be on the cards. Confirming fans' fears, Sally posted a throwback from her return storyline in 2015, which saw Jenny tangled in drama with Kevin Webster and his son Jack. Another fan summed up the mood with: 'Omg Sal! Thank you for all the memories, you're the BEST at Jenny, you will be so missed.' It follows the Corrie star's claims that ITV 'has no money', and she revealed the one part of the soap she 'hates' filming. In previous years the show has filmed in various locations, although it's currently based in MediaCity in Salford, Manchester. It was previously housed in the northern city's Granada Studios home and loyal fans of the show can even take a tour of the set on Salford Quays. And while much of the filming is based in the studio, there have been occasions where the cast and crew have ventured out, including when Eileen Grimshaw threw Pat Phelan off a cliff and when Rita's husband Alan Bradley was killed by a tram in Blackpool. But while some actors might enjoy taking a trip away from set, Sally Ann is not a fan and told fans: 'We don't do on location… right… okay so the whole 'Corrie doesn't do location any more. 'Thankfully because I fricking hate being on location - location is s**t - I hate it.' She then revealed that the real reason the broadcaster doesn't encourage location filming anymore is because they don't have the budget for it. Sally Ann claimed: 'So I'm glad ITV have got no money - am I allowed to say that? Well I have said it.' And the news of her departure follows fan fears she had been sacked after posting a video in June last year where she admitted she had been given 'a million years off'. Sally, who made her first appearance on the show in 1986, took to Instagram to tell fans they should get used to not seeing her around.
