2025 NBA Draft odds: Harper early favorite to go No. 2
While Cooper Flagg is the clear favorite and will likely be selected by Dallas, there are plenty of other talented players who will follow him off the board.
Now that the order for the 2025 NBA Draft is officially set, it's time to take a look at who might be drafted with the top picks.
Who will the San Antonio Spurs choose with their No. 2 overall pick? Who else will go in the top five?
The 2025 NBA Draft is set for June 25-26. Let's take a look at the top draft picks at DraftKings Sportsbook as of May 13.
No. 2 Pick odds

What to know: Dylan Harper, a standout freshman at Rutgers, averaged 19.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in his first year. The 6-foot-6 point guard led the Scarlet Knights with an average of 4.3 free throws made, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game. The three-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week set a new Rutgers freshman scoring record with 564 points. At -1600 odds, Harper appears to be the frontrunner for the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

What to know: Harper's college teammate, Ace Bailey, put together a successful first-year campaign on both sides of the ball. With the ability to play all five positions on the court, Bailey started in all of his 30 matchups. He averaged 17.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, finishing the season with a total of 527 points. Additionally, Bailey led the team with 38 blocks.
Next on the board is VJ Edgecombe, an athletic scoring guard who averaged 15 points and 5.6 rebounds per game at Baylor, with +115 odds. In the third spot is Tre Johnson, a top-five prospect after being named the SEC Freshman of the Year award while playing for Texas.

What to know: After reaching the Final Four this past year, the Duke Blue Devils have several players declaring for the 2025 NBA Draft. While Flagg stands in the spotlight, teammates Kon Knueppel and Khaman Maluach are also projected to be top-five picks, each with +220 odds.
Knueppel, who started all 39 games, sank 84 three-pointers, ranking fifth among all Duke freshmen in a single season. Meanwhile, Maluach, a center boasting a 7-foot-6 wingspan, also started all 39 games. He completed 136-of-191 shot attempts, hitting a .712% field goal rate, which ranks third in Duke's single-season history and is the second-highest by a Duke freshman.
Another name to look out for is Jeremiah Fears, who played a significant role in helping the Sooners reach the NCAA Tournament. The skilled ballhandler averaged 17.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game this season.

NBA champion Marco Belinelli officially announces retirement from basketball
Marco Belinelli, the Italian wing who spent 13 seasons in the NBA and won a ring with the San Antonio Spurs, officially announced his retirement from basketball at age 39, something he announced on his Instagram page. He may be best remembered for the four seasons with the Spurs, which included him being a key sixth man for the 2014 championship Spurs, averaging 11.4 points a game off the bench that season. For his NBA career he averaged 9.7 points a game shooting 37.6% from beyond the arc. Belinelli played the last five seasons in Italy for the club he started his career with, Virtus Bologna. He was named the Lega Basket Serie A MVP in 2024, the Sixth Man of the Year for the two seasons before that, and helped lead Bologna to two Serie A titles.

How good is Houston's top trio? Bleacher Report ranks them among NBA elite
The Houston Rockets have a deep roster for the 2025-26 NBA season, but they also have plenty of star power near the top. With that in mind, Bleacher Report's Greg Swartz ranks Houston as having the fourth-best trio among all 30 NBA teams. 'The Rockets already had a strong net rating when Alperen Şengün and Amen Thompson shared the floor last season (plus-11.1),' Swartz writes. 'The trade for Kevin Durant was also addition by subtraction, however, as Houston was a ridiculous plus-26.8 with Şengün, Thompson, and noJalen Green in 772 possessions last season.' 'Adding Durant in place of Green to a young, successful, and elite defensive team was the perfect fit for the 15-time All-Star,' he adds via Bleacher Report. Sengun earned his first All-Star honor last season, and the hope is that Thompson isn't far behind. The three superior trios on Bleacher Report's list are the No. 3 Cleveland Cavaliers (Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Darius Garland); the No. 2 Denver Nuggets (Nikola Jokić, Jamal Murray, and Aaron Gordon); and the No. 1 Oklahoma City Thunder (Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, and Chet Holmgren). Immediately behind Houston at No. 5 are the Los Angeles Clippers, who have former Rockets star James Harden paired with Kawhi Leonard and Bradley Beal. NBA 2K ranks Rockets' Alperen Sengun, Amen Thompson among top-40 available players
The 2025-26 Houston Rockets have one clear top-tier player in Kevin Durant, but could they have as many as three? In NBA 2K's latest rankings of the league's top 100 players for its upcoming NBA 2K26 video game, both Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson check in with overall ratings of '87.' As part of an annual offseason exercise conducted by developers of the popular video-game franchise, players are rated in various categories on a scale rising as high as 100, and that determines their skills in the game. While both have the same overall ratings, NBA 2K lists Sengun as the No. 34 player in the league, while Thompson is at No. 41. To this point, player rankings from No. 100 to No. 31 have been revealed, with No. 30 to No. 1 still to be released over the coming days. Presumably, Durant will be among that list. However, it's worth noting one player ahead of both Thompson and Sengun is Portland's Damian Lillard (No. 32) — who is expected to miss all of next season while recovering from an Achilles injury. The same should be the case with Indiana's Tyrese Haliburton and Boston's Jayson Tatum, who suffered the same injury in the 2025 playoffs. Each appears likely to be placed on that top-30 list. So, among those who will actually play this season, both Thompson and Sengun are among the top-40 players. And in Sengun's case, he's knocking on the door of a top-30 placement, if you exclude players with season-ending injuries. Ultimately, it's one arbitrary and largely inconsequential data set based on outside opinions.
