Nebula's new X1 Smart Projector promises 'cinema style home entertainment'
Anker said its new all-in-one Nebula X1 smart projector has everything you'd want from a 'cinema-grade entertainment system'.
The high-resolution 4K machine has Google TV and Netflix built in, which means you have instant access to all of your favourite streaming services.
Nebula is an offshoot of the acclaimed Anker Innovations company just like the awesome Soundcore (audio) and Eufy (smart home) brands.
Nebula X1 can produce a super-bright 4K image from its triple-laser light engine and it is capable of 3,500 ANSI lumens which means it is easy to see in bright sunlight. The firm said the built-in liquid cooling is an industry first and means the unit's size is more compact as a result as there is no need for the high-powered fans you get in many projectors.
There's top notch sound quality to match the visuals too. The projector includes four built-in speakers, two of which are 15W output and two which are 5W. You can also add on a pair of optional battery-powered Wi-Fi satellite speakers capable of up to eight hours of battery life. Each satellite speaker contains a 40W pair of front drivers, a 20W upward-firing driver, and a 20W side-firing driver to add width and height to your sonic experience. And if you switch the audio drivers inside the X1 into subwoofer mode and pair it with the speakers, you are getting 4.1.2 surround-sound.
The audio extras even come with two karaoke microphones.
The firm said that Nebula's X1 projector features an auto set-up to make life easy for the end consumer. Nebula's A.I. Spatial Adaptation auto setup procedure includes real-time autofocus and keystone correction, auto obstacle avoidance, auto screen fit, auto optical zoom, ambient light adaptation and wall colour adaptation and can be initiated with a single button push on the included remote control. It also includes an eye guard to protect users' eyes if someone walks in front of the projector.
The X1 can be placed on a projector stand, table or even on the floor, allowing the optical engine and lens array to tilt up to 25 degrees to find the optimal placement on a screen or wall. The unit can project on a screen up to 200in (diagonally) from 13 to 22 feet away. And it has a memory feature to recall room settings if it is moved.
Other Nebula X1 features include Dolby Vision and the firm's own NebulaMaster Image Processing Engine that it said improves contrast with enriched details in both bright and dark areas of the image, offering a 5000:1 native contrast ratio as well as a 56,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. This is thanks to the f/2.0 to f/4.5, 6-blade iris which optimises colour accuracy to imitate the effect perceived by human eyes.
In order to guarantee the highest quality light path, the X1 projector uses a 14-element glass lens array that, unlike other projectors using plastic lenses, prevents yellowing or deformation over time. This means users should get the same image quality they see on day one many years later.
You can easily connect the X1 to a gaming system or Blu-Ray player using the two HDMI ports on the rear, one of which has eARC compatibility.
Nebula X1 is available from May 21 priced at €2,999. For more information on these new projectors, visit www.seenebula.com. You can also check out the firm's other projectors on the Amazon website.
