World's first triple hair transplant to be carried out on identical triplets

Three identical brothers who once appeared on Cilla Black's Blind Date are set to undergo the world's first triplet hair transplant after they lost their hair around the same time due to their shared genetics.
Julian, Eliot, and Ryan Gregory, 40, are set to travel to the same clinic to undergo an identical procedure. It comes after the brothers all experienced hair loss at the same rate due to their genetics as identical triplets. They will now have follicular units removed one by one by using a precise motorised punch at HQ Hair Transplants in Cardiff. The clinic says "great care is taken with the grafts" before they are trimmed ready for implantation on the triplets.
Brothers Julian, Eliot, and Ryan were born in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, before going on to launch careers in modelling and acting. But they say they have started to feel "less identical" as they have grown older due to their receding hairlines that began in their thirties.
Julian, who lives in London, said: "We grew up being identical and the older we have got we feel the less identical we are getting. So if we can have more similar hairlines again it would be nice to see the reaction of other people and feel more identical again. "
The three men grew up playing pranks and carrying out identity swaps - and are now set to have their transplants together. Ryan, who also lives in London, said: "I think our hopes for the procedure is if we could roll back the years a bit.
"We have been together since we were in the womb and we always compare bits to each other like who has the most hair, who has got the biggest muscles and all the rest of it. We have always been quite competitive so I think if we can realign the playing field a little bit and realign the hairline."
Ryan said he was the one to start looking into the procedure after starting to feel insecure about his hair. He said: "I have been wanting a hair transplant for probably ten years. I always said to people if there was anything I would pay for that was going to be cosmetic it would be a hair transplant. It has always been my most insecure bit of my body."
The brothers, who appeared on Cilla Black's Blind date at just 18-years-old and featured in GQ magazine and Esquire, managed to convince Elliot to join them for the procedure. Elliot, who lives in Valencia, added: "Since my brothers have mentioned about the hair situation I have been looking at it a bit more and thought ok maybe I am ready to get the hair transplant done. I am looking forward to getting a fuller hairline."
HQ Hair Transplants is run and owned by former New Zealand All Blacks and Cardiff Blues rugby star Xavier Rush. A spokesman for the clinic said: "We are super excited to perform what is thought to be the World's first Identical Triplet Hair transplant on all three brothers."
The clinic has been running for five years and has completed transplants on Celeb's including Ella Morgan from Married at First Sight.

I think, as women, we suppress it and that's probably why I have trouble accessing it – I've done that so much that it feels kind of foreign, like I'm not quite sure where to pull it from.' Speaking about the reaction to the play from men, she said: "I imagine it's quite confronting, I don't know. Maybe also, when they read what it's about, they think, 'well, that's not something that's directed at me'. "I imagine, for a man, it will force them to look back at their own behaviour, which I imagine would be - or could be - potentially very uncomfortable. But (sexual assault) isn't 'a woman's issue', you know what I mean?" She added that a male police officer who had visited the show wrote a letter to the production afterwards. Jodie said: "I don't think I've had a deep, meaningful conversation with many men about the play, actually. "I do know there was a male police officer that came in one night, and he wrote in to the production. "He was kind of saying, 'this is me - I see myself, and I recognise the kind of work that needs to be done as a police officer'." The actor, who is best known for playing Villanelle in BBC spy series Killing Eve, said many women had contacted the production after seeing it to share their personal stories. Cilla Black is 'irreplaceable' — but Blind Date fans want these new reboot hosts
Iconic British TV show Blind Date is rumoured to be returning, and Metro readers have shared their dream presenters. The game show, which was hosted by Cilla Black, saw one hopeful single introduced to three members of the opposite sex with the aim of securing a date with one of them by the end of the show. The twist? The three potential suitors were hidden behind a sliding wall. The contestant asked three questions of the hidden singletons and used their answers to decide who to take on a date. Blind Date aired between 1985 and 2003 on ITV, though it had a brief revival on Channel 5 for two years in 2017, when Paul O'Grady took on hosting duties. Now, according to The Sun, the reality show is set to get a new home on Disney Plus, with an insider saying: 'Although there's likely to be some modern twists, the bosses very much want to keep the essence of the original. 'There'll be key elements returning, including the famous sliding wall. 'Plus, there will be a prize up for grabs of a wedding package, which echoes Cilla's famous gag whenever couples had enjoyed a successful date, and she used to ask, 'Do I need to buy an 'at for the wedding?'' It's not the first time reports of a Blind Date revival have surfaced, but so far nothing has been confirmed by Disney Plus. That hasn't stopped the rumour mill, however, and producers are said to be eyeing up Claudia Winkleman, Holly Willoughby and Davina McCall to host. 'Plus, having interviewed people from all walks of life on TV shows such as Big Brother's Bit on the Side and This Morning, I'm sure he'll make the contestants feel at ease (going on a reality dating show is an incredibly vulnerable situation to put yourself in, after all). 'Having spoken openly in the past about his own experiences of love and identity, including his struggles following his divorce from Dan Neal and discussing modern masculinity in his podcast How to be a Man, I'm confident he can bring a fresh approach to the iconic reality show.' And funnily enough, she previously revealed she almost chose appearing on Blind Date over the Channel 4 show. The Chase's Bradley Walsh received heaps of recommendations from Blind Date fans, with Jessica Jane Peers praising the presenter as 'completely hard to dislike'. He's hosted the enduringly popular ITV game show The Chase since 2009, and in 2024, it won the TV Choice award and NTA for Best Game Show. Many suggested Bradley Walsh should present Blind Date in tandem with one of his peers. Rachel Slucock said: 'Bradley Walsh or David Walliams, both would be hilarious,' and Anjii Cooper wrote: 'Bradley Walsh or Lee Mack, they would have a laugh'. Melle John added: 'It can only be Bradley Walsh or Stephen Mulhern. Yes they do get all the jobs. Cause they're good.' Speaking of Stephen Mulhern, the presenter was named by several Metro readers as their ideal Blind Date host. He's previously presented Dancing on Ice and Britain's Got More Talent, and is no stranger to a game show reboot, as the presenter of revived versions of Catchphrase and Deal or No Deal. Recommending him for Blind Date, Dave Butler said: 'Stephen Mulhurn, funny man BUT knows where to draw the line.' Victoria Hamilton echoed: 'Stephen Mulhern would be amazing at this,' while Tracy Purches suggested, 'Stephen Mulhern with the narrator from Come Dine with Me as 'our Graham''. 'Our Graham' was how Cilla referred to Graham Skidmore, who provided the voice-over for Blind Date. He died in 2021 at age 90. Jane McDonald, who fans may recognise from ITV's Loose Women as well as her Channel 5 travel show, Cruising with Jane McDonald, is another popular choice. Anne-Sarah Cassidy said: 'Jane McDonald would do a brilliant job,' and Tina Smith echoed, 'Jane McDonald would be great'. Carol Davies simply said: 'I think Jane McDonald would fit the part'. Jane has most recently hosted the British Soap Awards on ITV on June 5. And plenty of other popular presenters were named by Blind Date fans too. June Rae Elvidge said: 'First I thought Graham Norton, but for a laugh I thought how about Jeremy Clarkson? Or even Richard Hammond…it might be worth a giggle'. IshamaelSunSoar added: 'Davina [McCall] would be my first choice but would like to see Holly [Willoughby] come back and do more TV too'. And Paul Stables wrote: 'Claudia Winkleman, love her sense of humour on Strictly, she makes that show. You'll never replace Cilla though, that scouse/northern humour.' Paul certainly isn't the only Blind Date fan who felt no one could live up to the iconic Cilla Black, who passed away age 72 in 2015. Carl Turner said: 'No one is good enough to replace OUR CILLA… She was everything that kept us glued to our TV screens every Saturday night'. More Trending Samantha Cunningham agreed, writing: 'Can't imagine anybody being as good as our Cilla'. Meanwhile, others were keen to see fresh faces host the revival. Ryan made a special return to the show for a week of episodes after a 10-year absence in order to aid Sue's exit. Fellow actress Katy Cavanagh also reprised her role as Eileen's sister Julie in the weeks leading up to her exit before being killed off. Now, Ryan has taken to Instagram to share a video of the emotional moment that Sue wrapped on her final scenes inside the Grimshaw house. In the clip, the crew behind the camera can be seen clapping Sue as she wrapped on her final take. She embraced co-star Tony Maudsley, who played her now-ex George Shuttleworth, Sue then hugged Ryan and fellow co-star Gareth Pierce before show boss Kate Brooks jumped in to deliver a speech. Wheeling off a list of facts, Kate boomed: "Just to say, this wonderful woman has done 25 years on the street, 2444 episodes - which is a lot. "I think there has been 15 slaps, nine of them as Jason and bust-ups with Gail so quite an eventful 25 years - three proposals!" Looking rather unsure, Kate then added: "I think you are the only character to come to Coronation Street and stay at number 11." Coronation Street icon quits cobbles after 25 years as she makes life changing decision Ryan went on to pen his own, more heartfelt tribute over the top of the video, as he wrote: "it has been an honour to watch, act & learn alongside you one last time. "Can't wait to watch you shine in your next chapter. "Love you always." The Sun exclusively revealed in January that she had quit the show after 25 years on the Salford set to look for new acting opportunities. 'The door is still firmly open but as I reached my 60th year, I decided it was time to embrace change, look for new adventures and live fearlessly,' she explained. One of Sue's major next steps is to being a regular panellist on Loose Women after first appearing on the daytime panel show in 2023. Sue took a break from Corrie last year to star in Sister Act The Musical as Mother Superior and appeared in reality show I'm A Celebrity in 2022.
