'Shrinking' follows Dr. Jimmy Laird, a grieving psychiatrist (Jason Segel), who begins to insert himself into the lives of his patients.
In Season 2, fans saw Dr. Rhoades, Jimmy's colleague, come to terms with his mortality as he battles his Parkinson's diagnosis. He also strikes up a romance with his doctor, Julie (Wendie Malick).

Despite this being his first Emmy nod, Ford has been nominated several times for other awards over his 60-plus-year career.

He garnered a nomination for Best Actor at the 1986 Oscars for his role in the thriller 'Witness.' That same year, the part earned Ford a BAFTA nomination.
He has also been nominated for five Golden Globes and took home the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2001 for 'outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.'

He also earned a nom for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series at the SAG Awards in February for playing Dr. Rhoades.

'There are people who improvise as though it was an exercise in egos,' Ford said during a Q&A at the time. 'That never happens with this bunch. Work is really important to everybody that's here.'
The series has enabled him to explore acting in a new way.

'This mixture of comedy and pathos and really emotional stuff, it gives you a sense of responsibility for the things you're communicating and how you're communicating,' Ford admitted. 'I think that that shows up on screen, and it shows up in the work these people do every day and how they do it.'
'I had never done anything like this before,' he stated, 'and it was like suddenly recognizing what I've always wanted [acting] to be.'
Ford also spoke to Apple CEO Tim Cook about the powerful impact 'Shrinking' has had on viewers.

'I wanted to tell him about the experience that I have with people who come up to me and say something about the show. And then I get to say something… and then they turn around and walk away,' he explained at the Q&A. 'They do not want a picture. They do not want an autograph. They do not want to do anything. They just want to communicate that this means something to them.'
'It's an extraordinary experience in my life. That is a real thing. And it means the world to me.'
There is certainly more to come for fans as Season 3 of 'Shrinking' is on the way with a slew of new faces.

Michael J. Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1991 at the age of 29, is set to guest star after retiring in 2020.
Jeff Daniels is also coming aboard to play Jimmy's father, along with Isabella Gomez from 'One Day at a Time.'
Last month, Segel reflected on Ford's hilarious response to being offered the role.

During Variety's 'Actors on Actors' series with Seth Rogen, Segel explained how the producers of 'Shrinking,' Brett Goldstein and Bill Lawrence, convinced Ford to sign on to the dark comedy series.
'We got Harrison Ford because Harrison Ford is the kind of person you make an offer to so that for three days you can say, 'We've made an offer to Harrison Ford,' and then you'll pick the real guy,' Segel shared.
'He read it, and he didn't know anything about me,' he detailed. 'Brett Goldstein met with him, and they had a really nice meeting, and they sent him 'The End of the Tour' and 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall.''

What came next from Ford was a compliment about Segel's full-frontal scene in the 2008 comedy 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall.'
'Then, Bill Lawrence got a text that said, 'I'm in. And tell the kid, great d–k,'' he admitted.

Kanye West's former California home is unrecognizable following a dramatic reconstruction — and will list for $17M

Once the humble neighbor to Kim Kardashian's $60 million estate, a plot formerly owned by Kanye West has undergone a dramatic transformation — from low-slung ranch house to a soulful showpiece. Now dubbed 'Three Planes,' the newly built equestrian estate is hitting the market for $16.99 million, offering more than just square footage — but also a full-on spiritual experience. West purchased the original 3,200-square-foot house in 2021 for $4.5 million, with sources previously telling The Post it was to stay close to his four children. But he never moved in. 19 A photo of the home Kanye West purchased before it was renovated to make way for a new modern estate. 19 A Hidden Hills property last owned by Kanye West has been transformed beyond recognition. AP Two years later, he sold the property to Calabasas-based developer H2 Development for $4.25 million. They promptly leveled the structure and teamed up with Los Angeles designer Jae Omar to reimagine the space as a luxurious homage to the land's indigenous roots. 19 West sold it at a loss two years later for $4.3 million, and it was completely gutted with a new property built in its place. Christopher Amitrano / CS8 Photo 19 The 11,500-square-foot estate is designed by Jae Omar. Christopher Amitrano / CS8 Photo 19 Inspired by the cosmology of the Chumash people, the indigenous tribe native to the region, the home is conceived as a 'living myth' rooted in their three sacred realms: sky, earth and underworld. Christopher Amitrano / CS8 Photo Omar — known for his work on estates sought after by the likes of Sean McVay, DJ Zedd and Meghan Trainor — drew inspiration from the Chumash people, the Native American tribe that once inhabited this region of Southern California. The result: an 11,000-square-foot estate designed to evoke the tribe's cosmological framework — three interconnected realms of sky, earth and underworld. 'I wanted to create a space where you could feel all three at once, and move between them with intention,' Omar said in a statement. 'Every material, every line, every shadow was chosen to honor the Chumash belief in transformation and transcendence.' Clad in Shou Sugi Ban siding, Santa Barbara stone and hand-applied plaster, the estate's silhouette nods to Hidden Hills' equestrian roots with a modern ranch-style form. 19 The residence blends earthy materials like Shou Sugi Ban siding and Santa Barbara stone with curated Chumash-era pottery and a design ethos that honors spirituality, transformation and natural connection. Christopher Amitrano / CS8 Photo 19 There's a hunger here for homes that are not just luxurious, but meaningful, Omar said. Christopher Amitrano / CS8 Photo 19 The formal dining room. Christopher Amitrano / CS8 Photo Inside, it's a masterclass in organic modernism: soaring beamed ceilings, white oak floors, sandstone walls and earth-toned plaster finishes among the eye-catching features. The five-bedroom, 6.5-bath home includes a wellness wing, a yoga deck, a media room and a wine cellar evocatively described as 'the underworld' in listing materials. The heart of the home is a bespoke kitchen outfitted with top-tier appliances and finishes, joined by a breakfast nook and a walk-in pantry. 19 The primary suite. Four secondary bedrooms upstairs each include their own ensuite bathrooms. Outdoors, the 1-acre-plus property extends the home's immersive vision. A resort-style pool and spa, a firepit, an alfresco kitchen and a yoga deck are joined by a detached horse stable — both a nod to the community's equestrian culture and a rare amenity in new construction. 'This community has always been about privacy and prestige. Now, it's also becoming a canvas for architectural storytelling,' Omar said. 19 A view of the open floor plan. Christopher Amitrano / CS8 Photo The home, located at 24877 Eldorado Meadow, is being marketed by Veronika Khomyn of The Agency. It's expected to officially hit the market later this month. As for Omar, 'Three Planes' is part of a broader creative push. His latest project, 'Five Fathoms' in the Hollywood Hills, takes inspiration from Ariel's siren song in Shakespeare's 'The Tempest.' But in Hidden Hills, he said, the challenge, and the opportunity, was more grounded. 'My goal is to redefine what it means to live well within the Hidden Hills community,' he told The Post. 'Alongside H2 Development, we're not just constructing speculative homes, we're curating homes that hold a soul, a story, a spirit and reflect the extraordinary community.'

Elon Musk's ‘spicy' upgrade to Grok spits out deepfake clip of Taylor Swift dancing topless: report

Elon Musk's xAI chatbot Grok got a 'spicy' upgrade that reportedly spits out explicit deepfake videos, including a clip of Taylor Swift dancing topless, according to a report. Grok Imagine, the startup's new generative AI tool launched Monday, created a six-second clip of the 'Shake It Off' singer whipping off a silver dress to reveal her breasts and wearing skimpy panties, according to the tech-centric news site The Verge. Even more troubling was that its spicy mode conjured up the NSFW clip without mentioning nudity when prompted to show Swift celebrating at music festivals, the outlet found while testing the software. The video generating tool on Elon Musk's xAI chatbot Grok has a 'spicy' mode that allowed users to create a sexualized deepfake clip featuring singer Taylor Swift. Getty Images for TAS Rights Management The Verge published the video but ran a black bar to cover the superstar's bare chest. The new feature's lack of safeguards against creating celebrity deepfakes and adult materials 'feels like a lawsuit waiting to happen,' The Verge wrote. The Post reached out to Musk, xAI and representatives for Swift for comment. Swift has been a frequent target of AI-generated explicit content across various platforms. In January of last year, explicit AI-generated images of the 'Cruel Summer' singer were widely shared on platforms like Musk-owned X and 4chan, sparking public outrage and urgent content takedowns. The situation escalated with deepfake videos falsely portraying her in political and sexual contexts, including through Grok. The controversy led to tech companies tightening safeguards and prompted Swift to consider legal action. US lawmakers began advancing bipartisan legislation to criminalize non-consensual deepfake pornography. The user guidelines for xAI, which Musk has positioned as a rival to ChatGPT maker OpenAI, prohibit creating pornographic depictions of real people's likenesses. Grok Imagine, which is available for those with Heavy or Premium+ subscriptions to Grok, takes AI-generated images and transforms them into video clips of up to 15 seconds using style options that include Custom, Normal, Fun, and Spicy. 'Usage was growing like wildfire,' Musk wrote on X on Tuesday, though he did not address the content moderation challenges that have emerged alongside this growth. Musk has touted the features of Grok Imagine, stating that more than 34 million images have been created since the feature launched on Monday. xAI, Musk's AI startup, rolled out Grok Imagine, a video generation tool that includes a 'spicy' mode. AFP via Getty Images The timing of the Swift controversy could potentially be problematic for xAI, given the company's previous entanglements with deepfake incidents targeting Swift. Deepfakes are synthetic media — typically videos, images or audio — which are created using artificial intelligence in order to realistically mimic a person's likeness or voice.

Darth Vader's lightsaber could cost you an arm and a leg

Darth Vader's lightsaber, used to chop off Luke Skywalker's hand in Star Wars classic "The Empire Strikes Back", went on display in London on Wednesday, ahead of its US sale next month. The prop has been described as the "Holy Grail" for Star Wars fans, with millions prepared to end up like Skywalker and give their right arm to own the iconic weapon. Reflecting that passion, it is predicted to fetch up to $3 million went it goes on sale in Los Angeles next month. "It's just an amazing piece of film history," Brandon Alinger, chief operating officer of the Propstore auction house selling the item, told AFP at a London preview of the sale's most important lots. "Is there any villain as significant, as memorable as Darth Vader? I don't think so, and this is his weapon," he added. Darth Vader wielded the "energy sword" during legendary fight scenes in both "The Empire Strikes Back" (1980) and "Return of the Jedi" (1983). David Prowse, the actor behind Vader's mask, and stuntman Bob Anderson actually used two of the devices. One without a blade was clipped to the villain's belt while the other, which had a wooden blade attached, was used for the fight scenes. It is the battle-scarred item, albeit without the blade, that is up for sale, having been in the hands of a US individual for 40 years. "Somebody, literally, who Googled 'sell Star Wars film prop' came to us and said, 'I've got this thing to sell', and we were just floored," explained Propstore founder Stephen Lane. "There was no understanding that this thing even still existed -- it's a brand new discovery, which is incredibly exciting for Star Wars collectors." He compared its significance to the ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland in 1939 classic "The Wizard of Oz". Experts verified its authenticity by matching its dents and scratches to those seen on film. "Look at the big dent on the back, that's probably from (Luke Skywalker actor) Mark Hamill's lightsaber blade," Alinger explained while showing the device to AFP. While now likely worth millions, the item is actually an old camera-flash attachment with spare parts, such as the bubbles from behind a calculator pad, stuck on. Other items to be sold during the three-day auction, taking place September 4-6, include the bullwhip, belt and holster used by Harrison Ford in 1989's "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". One collector will also get their hands on a neuralyzer used by Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) to erase memories in "Men in Black" (1997). "This is used in the opening scene of the film," explained Ibrahim Faraj, consignments manager at Propstore in the UK. The item, whose LED display still works, is expected to sell for up to $150,000. jwp/jj
