War 2 Adds Rs 38 Crore Gross On Day 3 In India; Starts Showing Worrying Signs The Hindi version of War 2 is doing the heavy-lifting, with Rs 26 crore net (Rs 31.50 crore gross). These, in no way, classify as good numbers. Based on the falling trend, these numbers are actually underwhelming. The Telugu version of the movie is on a freefall, with the day 3 gross expected to be around Rs 7 crore. It is over 70 percent down from the opening day. The majority of the Telugu audience has not resonated with films from the Spy Universe, and the case with War 2 is no different. The Tamil version of the movie has negligible contributions of around Rs 15-20 lakh. The final collections from this version shall be under Rs 1.50 crore. The Day Wise India Gross Collections Of War 2 Are As Under War 2 Will Barely Do Rs 200 Crore India Gross Over Its Extended Opening Weekend The 3 day gross of War 2 in India stands at Rs 164 crore, and by the end of the extended weekend, it should barely touch Rs 200 crore. Rs 200 crore India gross should have been breached in two or a maximum of three days given the star power, scale and potential but that has sadly, not happened. Coolie, which held comparitively lesser appeal, has put up higher collections. With the way the movie is doing, it should be curtains for the movie in the weekdays. Will fully cooperate for release of The Devil: Actor Darshan
Agency: PTI Bengaluru, Aug 16 (PTI) Kannada actor Darshan on Saturday said he would 'fully cooperate" for the release of his film 'The Devil'. He also expressed confidence that his 'celebrities" — as he calls his fans — will also stand by his decision. The message was conveyed through his wife Vijayalakshmi's Instagram account. Directed by Prakash Veer, the first song of the film was supposed to have been released on August 15. But with the Supreme Court cancelling his bail, Darshan was taken into custody a day before, on August 14. Following which, the plans for the film were reportedly put on hold. However, Darshan said his first duty is to support the directors who believed in him and the producers who have invested crores of money in him. 'So, I hope that all the work of my film 'The Devil' will proceed without any hindrance. I hereby inform you that you (makers of the film) have my full cooperation. And I firmly believe that my celebrities (fans) will consent to this," Darshan is quoted as saying in his wife's Instagram post. Darshan had wrapped up the film in July. The reshooting of the film started in February after the actor was released on regular bail. 'Cinema is an entertainment medium and should be viewed only from the perspective of entertainment," the actor said further through his wife's post. Darshan was arrested on June 11, 2024, in connection with Renukaswamy murder case. Darshan was granted interim bail on medical grounds after he claimed back pain. Government forces Air Canada, flight attendants union into arbitration
Agency: PTI Toronto, Aug 16(AP) Canada's government forced Air Canada and the union representing flight attendants into arbitration on Saturday after a work stoppage stranded more than 100,000 travellers around the world during the peak summer travel season. Federal Jobs Minister Patty Hajdu said now is not the time to take risks with the economy while announcing the intervention. It means the 10,000 flight attendants will return to work soon. The shutdown of Canada's largest airline early Saturday is impacting about 130,000 people a day, and some 25,000 Canadians may be stranded.
