These 5 ChatGPT prompts set me up for success every week — here's how
The 'Sunday Scaries,' otherwise known as that creeping sense of dread as the weekend winds down, can sabotage even the most relaxing Sunday evening. But what if you could reframe your mindset before the evening anxiety hits?
As someone who's battled this weekly slump and other forms of anxiety, I've turned to AI tools like ChatGPT to create simple rituals that ease the transition to Monday.
Here are the exact prompts I use and some pro tips to help make them work for you.
Prompt: 'Give me a realistic 3-step plan to mentally transition from weekend to work mode without feeling overwhelmed.'To make the most of this prompt, I suggest adding in your profession. By doing that, you'll help the chatbot make the plan even more personal and realistic for you.
I use this prompt nearly every week to work on goals for the following week or month, and stay focused on what needs to get done without feeling overwhelmed. Having a plan in place actually gets me excited about the week ahead.
Pro tip: Add 'Include a phrase I can repeat when anxiety spikes, like a mantra' to your prompt for instant calm.
Prompt: 'Help me write a kind, motivating to-do list for Monday that feels achievable, not stressful.'

As a mom of three young children, my weekends are packed to the brim with sports activities, birthday parties, and social events.
Using AI as a motivating sidekick helps me switch from family mode to professional mode much easier. This particular prompt helps turn messy Monday tasks into a prioritized list with time estimates.Pro tip: Ask the AI to 'Add a 'done by noon' quick-win task' to build momentum.
Prompt: 'Give me a 10-minute Sunday wellness plan to reduce anxiety and sleep better.'
Because my weekends are packed with family, I don't always have the opportunity to stop and think about my own needs. This prompt is helpful to wind down with breathwork, gratitude, and establish a sense of calm before the week starts. Giving myself a solid ten minutes with this ritual really helps.Pro tip: Add 'Include a 'worry dump' step to journal anxieties and literally close the notebook.'
Prompt: 'Help me design a Monday morning routine I'll actually look forward to, with a mix of productivity and joy.'
I want to start Mondays with energy, not anxiety. By tackling arguably the hardest part of Monday (the morning), this prompt helps offers a quick win to build momentum. You could even tailor this prompt with your love of [hobby] and your jobs as a [role].Pro tip: Add 'Include a phrase to repeat while I [drink coffee/shower/etc.], like 'I'm ready for good things this week'' to embed positivity into habits.
Prompt: 'Based on my work stressors, suggest 3 ways to protect my peace this week.'
Whether you get overwhelmed by back-to-back meetings or an overflowing inbox, this prompt helps to reduce burnout, using time-blocking and communication strategies.Pro tip: Feed the AI your actual calendar or recurring tasks for hyper-specific advice.
These prompts aren't so much about productivity, although I'm sure you'll notice a difference in that, too. Instead, these prompts help to rewrite the Sunday mindset from dread to intentionality.
For me, outsourcing the mental labor to AI, frees up space to actually enjoy my weekend. Although I use most of them, if not all, every week on Sunday, they work on any day of the week. So, if your work week begins on a different day or you have a rotating schedule, you can still make use of these prompts.
Try them and let me know what you think. And, if you have a prompt that helps you make the transition from the weekend to the work week easier, share it by dropping it in the comments.

UK finance watchdog teams up with Nvidia to let banks experiment with AI
LONDON — Britain's financial services watchdog on Monday announced a new tie-up with U.S. chipmaker Nvidia to let banks safely experiment with artificial intelligence. The Financial Conduct Authority said it will launch a so-called Supercharged Sandbox that will "give firms access to better data, technical expertise and regulatory support to speed up innovation." Starting from October, financial services institutions in the U.K. will be allowed to experiment with AI using Nvidia's accelerated computing and AI Enterprise Software products, the watchdog said in a press release. The initiative is designed for firms in the "discovery and experiment phase" with AI, the FCA noted, adding that a separate live testing service exists for firms further along in AI development. "This collaboration will help those that want to test AI ideas but who lack the capabilities to do so," Jessica Rusu, the FCA's chief data, intelligence and information officer, said in a statement. "We'll help firms harness AI to benefit our markets and consumers, while supporting economic growth." The FCA's new sandbox addresses a key issue for banks, which have faced challenges shipping advanced new AI tools to their customers amid concerns over risks around privacy and fraud. Large language models from the likes of OpenAI and Google send data back to overseas facilities — and privacy regulators have raised the alarm over how this information is stored and processed. There have meanwhile been several instances of malicious actors using generative AI to scam people. Nvidia is behind the graphics processing units, or GPUs, used to train and run powerful AI models. The company's CEO, Jensen Huang, is expected to give a keynote talk at a tech conference in London on Monday morning. Last year, HSBC's generative AI lead, Edward Achtner, told a London tech conference he sees "a lot of success theater" in finance when it comes to artificial intelligence — hinting that some financial services firms are touting advances in AI without tangible product innovations to show for it. He added that, while banks like HSBC have used AI for many years, new generative AI tools like OpenAI's ChatGPT come with their own unique compliance risks.

Galaxy AI beats Gemini for me — 5 features that make it smarter
For years, phone manufacturers have boasted about better processors and cameras — but many of us wanted something more exciting. Then artificial intelligence (AI) arrived, and suddenly, everything changed. Now we're seeing a wave of new features we never knew we needed until now. In such a short space of time, a host of different companies have worked on different AI models but some big players have emerged, the most significant being Open AI's ChatGPT. That model is set to power part of Apple's AI offering (Apple Intelligence), while Samsung Galaxy users will see a mix of Galaxy AI and Google's Gemini.. Combined, they give Galaxy devices tremendous power and flexibility but, if push came to shove, I would say I prefer Galaxy AI over Gemini thanks to smart features that make all the difference. And what are those? Read on to find out more. Together, Galaxy AI and Gemini give Samsung phones impressive power and flexibility. But if push came to shove, I'd say Galaxy AI comes out on top — thanks to a few smart features that make all the difference. And what are those, exactly? Read on to find out more. Galaxy AI is only a tap away in many Samsung apps such as Gallery where it's possible to call upon generative photo editing. Using this feature gets AI to analyze and regenerate an image, making it easy to highlight an object and either move it around or remove it. You can also use Sketch to Image to draw on an existing image and have AI turn your doodle into reality — it's a spot of image fakery but it allows you to be creative. Having a smart feature like this available within a much-used app makes a big difference and it looks as if it's going to get better with a leak suggesting Samsung could soon use AI to turn your photos into videos, too. Throw in the new Drawing Assist which lets you transform sketches into art or produce images from text descriptions and you've got a powerful set of tools. Browsing assist in the Samsung Internet app is great for summarizing the content of a webpage, condensing it into the key points. It's also great for instantly transcribing websites. As a fan of retro computers, I often browse Spanish sites for Amstrad CPC content — and this makes it easy to understand them. But, for me, Galaxy AI has an edge over Gemini because while both Samsung Internet and Chrome allow you to listen to a page, Galaxy AI will let you hear a summary and it will do so in a language of your choice. You can also queue articles from a news website, effectively producing a mini broadcast. Rather than select a wallpaper from a set of pre-made designs or make use of a photo, I like the fact I can long-press a blank area of the home screen, tap Wallpaper and style, choose Change wallpapers and select Generative. It means I can select and change aspects of a prompt to produce something more bespoke. What really caught my attention, though, was the ability to use my own photo — and have the Photo Ambient feature update it based on the current weather at my location. It's fun to see the change from sun to rain or snow, and see the image reflect morning, midday, evening and night. It works best if you have a daytime image to start with but it's a nice touch. Although I can write in shorthand and often do when interviewing, I've decided to remove the barrier of pen and notepad by recording the conversation instead. I jumped for joy when I heard about transcription services such as but there's a wonderful Galaxy AI feature that not only transcribes your voice recordings but calls in real-time. Best of all, it does it for free. What's more, there's a live translation option if you're speaking to someone in a different language too. You can turn this option on if you open Settings, tap Galaxy AI, tap Call assistant and select Live translate. Sometimes you want to change a setting on your Galaxy device but you can't quite remember where that crucial button lies. Using the magic of Galaxy AI, you only need to launch the Settings app, select the search icon and use natural language to find what you're after. For example, you can type 'change wallpaper' and as you enter those terms, you will see a list of results appear before your eyes. The AI works out what you're most likely to be looking for even if you can't recall what the setting is called. I even tried 'change the look of my lockscreen' and wallpaper options appeared. And there you go — 5 smart features that make all the difference with Galaxy AI. There are some other useful features too. You can learn how to set Samsung Galaxy's AI features to on-device-only processing or learn how to write better messages with Writing Assist. You can also use AI to add slow motion to your videos. I challenged Gemini Live vs ChatGPT in 5 voice challenges — there was one clear winner
AI assistants are constantly becoming smarter, faster and gaining new abilities. Now, they can see, speak, listen and even crack a few jokes with you when you need a favorite chatbots offering hands-free assistance are ChatGPT with Voice and Vision and Google's Gemini Live. I use them both regularly and interchangeably, but one thing I haven't done is test them against each other. So, I just had to know, which assistant is better to the point it actually feels the most human? To find out, I put both tools through five unique voice-based tests designed to push their limits. These were not your average 'What's the weather?' prompts. I challenged them to recall context, analyze images, collaborate creatively and even roleplay with personality. One emerged as the clear winner, and in this article I'll show you why. Prompt: 'My name is Amanda and I'm planning a trip to Boston with my family of five. What should we do first?" Later: "Remind me what I said my name was earlier?'Gemini Live quickly asked for more information to ensure it gave me the best information. It asked the ages of my kids and what types of activities we prefer as a family. It made some very general recommendations that I could have gotten anywhere, but still information. The chatbot remembered my name when I asked it to recall immediately made some general family-friendly recommendations (similar to what Gemini gave after asking me more about myself) and then asked me about my family's preferences. From there, it offered more unique and engaging activities that were both on and off the typical tourist path. The chatbot remembered my name when asked to recall ChatGPT wins for out-of-the-box recommendations that I hadn't thought of (and I'm from Boston). It was very helpful with both unique and interesting ideas for my active family of five. Prompt: 'Explain the potential societal impacts of widespread AI companions.'Gemini Live acknowledged positive aspects but remained very general and lacked specific societal consequences. Although the chatbot did mention both sides, without elaborating, the response was somewhat empty and less went beyond vague statements and provided concrete examples of both positive and negative impacts. The chatbot's conclusion emphasized the need for balance. Although ChatGPT responded clearly and thoroughly, the chatbot is very sensitive. At one point during the conversation I put the phone down and it stumbled, asking, 'What else can I help with?' When I asked the bot to keep going, it was confused so I had to re-ask the question, which felt less ChatGPT wins for a more thorough and balanced response to the question. While it stumbled with some technicalities, the answer to the prompt was superior. Gemini ended the conversation with "worth thinking about," which seemed less insightful. Prompt: "Sell me a maple pecan latte like a Gen Z barista, adding in humor naturally."Gemini Live leaned into the Gen Z character with fun lines that felt both natural and effortless. It wasn't as verbose as ChatGPT, which made it feel more human and delivered a lengthy sales speech that made me cringe. It didn't get the Gen Z tone as well as Gemini and the whole response felt a little too polished and buttoned Gemini Live wins this one. This was where Gemini shined. Its energetic voice delivery and personality were spot-on as it leaned into the character with ease. Prompt: 'Take a look at these old bananas and give me suggestions for what to do with them.'Gemini Live took one look at the bananas and immediately suggested banana bread. A good option, but an obvious one. When pressed for something different, it suggested smoothies. I told it I didn't have a lot of extra ingredients and it hallucinated saying, 'that's okay, how about a smoothie?' Once again, I told it I didn't have any other ingredients. Finally it suggested making banana ice also suggested banana bread but in the form of 'banking' with other ideas mixed in. It went further to suggest smoothies. When I mentioned I didn't have any other ingredients, it suggested blending with ice and water for a 'refreshing drink.' Additionally, it suggested more pantry-friendly ingredients like honey, cinnamon and vanilla that I was more likely to have on hand (as apposed to Gemini suggesting various fruits, seaweed or kale).Winner: ChatGPT wins this round with a clear edge for true multimodal communication with creativity and visual intelligence. Prompt: "Help me brainstorm a bedtime jingle for my kids and sing it if you can." Gemini Live went line by line of the song for a more collaborative experience. It was asking me about instruments and themes as well as styles. While it was nice to be included, any parent trying to get their kid to sleep at bedtime just wants something fast. I would appreciate this collaborative effort if I needed the song in a different created a sweet lullaby in minutes – and even sang it! The song was creative and well written even though the bot's voice was a little too robotic. I then asked it for different lyrics and for it to sing it in other styles and it got straight to work even rapping it like Kendrick Lamar (that is, if Lamar were a bot).Winner: tie. Both tools came up with catchy rhymes and fun ideas. ChatGPT took the lead in structure while Gemini felt a little looser, more like spit balling with a friend — which was charming, but less directed. After putting both AI assistants through their paces, it's clear that ChatGPT currently offers the more advanced and well-rounded experience. From deeper reasoning and sharper memory to stronger visual analysis and quicker creative execution, ChatGPT consistently delivered results that felt more helpful and said, Gemini had standout moments, especially in personality-driven prompts where it came across as more spontaneous and fun. If you're looking for an assistant to make you smile and keep the vibe light, Gemini shines. But if you want the most capable hands-free AI companion that can think deeply, see clearly and even sing (or rap!) on command — ChatGPT is still the one to beat.
