
CMAI's 5th FAB Show 2025 Powers Industry Growth
The 5th edition of the Fabrics, Accessories & Beyond (FAB) Show, organized by the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), concluded successfully at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, from April 21 to 23, 2025. Supported by the Government of Maharashtra, SGCCI, and 15 leading industry associations, the show highlighted India's growing prominence in the global textile and apparel sector.
Drawing over 12,000 trade visitors from 350+ cities and 90 overseas buyers from 23 countries, including the US, Bangladesh, Egypt, and UAE, FAB Show 2025 reflected the sector's focus on innovation, sustainability, and technology. Over 250 exhibitors showcased a dynamic blend of cutting-edge fabrics, accessories, and eco-conscious innovations.
The event was graced by Hon'ble Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, and featured a Knowledge Series spotlighting critical topics like AI applications, textile waste management, and certifications, preparing the industry for a future driven by responsible practices and smart solutions.
Santosh Katariya, President, CMAI, stated, 'FAB Show is about transformation, not just business. It's about innovation, sustainability, and collaboration setting India on the path to becoming a global sourcing hub.'
Highlighting shifting global trade dynamics, Rahul Mehta, Chief Mentor, CMAI, emphasized that U.S. tariff hikes on imports from countries like Bangladesh and Vietnam present a timely opportunity for India to expand its role as a major sourcing destination.
Sustainability took center stage this year with a dedicated pavilion featuring over 20 vendors and a Sustainability Fashion Show where designers showcased eco-friendly collections.
Naveen Sainani, Chairman of FAB Show, added, 'CMAI remains dedicated to advancing sustainability in the textile value chain, ensuring fashion evolves with responsibility.'
The 5th FAB Show 2025 strengthened India's positioning on the global stage and laid a strong foundation for the future of textiles and apparel with a focus on innovation, environmental responsibility, and global partnerships.

Chhattisgarh, CMAI to Open Textile Hub in Raipur
The Chhattisgarh Government signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) during FAB Show 2025 in Mumbai to establish a Textile & Apparel Facilitation Centre in Raipur, furthering the state's industrial vision under the leadership of Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. The initiative aims to enhance investments, employment, and industrial competitiveness in Chhattisgarh, positioning it as an emerging textile hub. The MoU outlines key action points: Establishment of a CMAI office in Raipur Promotion of Chhattisgarh's industrial policies among manufacturers Market linkage support for local apparel MSMEs Chief Minister Sai emphasized the State's continued support for the MSME sector, mentioning the ₹271 crore NIFT campus coming up in Raipur and industry-friendly incentives for units employing 1,000+ locals. He stated, 'With a conducive environment, skilled workforce, and strong connectivity, Chhattisgarh is ready to become a manufacturing powerhouse.' CMAI President Mr. Santosh Katariya expressed optimism about the collaboration, calling Chhattisgarh 'a promising frontier' for the apparel sector. He added, 'This MoU will open up new avenues of growth and policy engagement, while connecting local players with national markets.' Present at the MoU signing were top State officials including Shri Amitabh Jain, Chief Secretary; Shri Rajat Kumar, Industries Secretary; and Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to the CM. CMAI dignitaries included Ankur Gadia, Vice President and Naveen Sainani, Hon. General Secretary & FAB Show Chairman. The MoU was signed during the 5th CMAI FAB Show, India's largest B2B sourcing platform for fabrics and accessories. As a State Partner, Chhattisgarh also hosted a dedicated pavilion promoting its 'Business Made Easy' initiative and showcasing its apparel sector's potential.

CMAI's FAB Show 2025 Opens with Sustainability Focus
The 5th edition of the Fabrics, Accessories & Beyond (FAB) Show 2025, hosted by the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), kicked off on April 22 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. Bringing together over 250 exhibitors and expected to draw 12,000+ trade visitors, the show highlights India's growing strength in the global textile and apparel industry. The event was inaugurated by top industry leaders including executives from Jade Blue, Juniper Fashions, Pantaloons, Ethnix by Raymond, Kewal Kiran Clothing, Peppermint Clothing, and Raymond Lifestyle. It also enjoys the backing of the Government of Maharashtra and SGCCI. Hon'ble Minister of Textiles, Sanjay Savkare, opened the show, announcing plans for a mega textile park in Mumbai in collaboration with CMAI. A major announcement at FAB 2025 includes an MoU between CMAI and the Government of Chhattisgarh, marking Chhattisgarh as the 'Partner State'. The MoU signing will be formalized by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai during his visit on April 23. The FAB Show provides a robust platform for manufacturers, designers, sourcing heads, and retailers to connect, discover new materials, and collaborate on sustainable innovations. Spread across 2,00,000 sq. ft., the show includes business networking sessions, fashion showcases, and knowledge panels on themes like AI in apparel business, sourcing standards, and the fashion ecosystem. This year's theme is rooted in sustainability and circularity, emphasized through a dedicated Sustainability Pavilion, in collaboration with CEE and GATS, featuring over 20 eco-conscious vendors. The show also aligns with Earth Day, reinforcing the message of environmental responsibility. CMAI continues to drive sustainability through its (Sustainable Resolution) initiative, India's largest voluntary commitment for sustainable apparel, in partnership with Reliance Brands, UN India, and the Ministry of Textiles.
