
ITCZ, easterlies to bring rains over Mindanao, Eastern Visayas
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and Easterlies will bring rains across Mindanao and the Eastern Visayas in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Sunday.
In its 4 p.m. weather forecast, the state weather bureau said cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will persist over Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, and Palawan due to the ITCZ.
These moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
These severe thunderstorms may cause flash floods or landslides.
State meteorologists also said winds will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.

LPA inside PAR has ‘medium' chance of becoming tropical depression — PAGASA
The low pressure area (LPA) observed inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has a 'medium' chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Wednesday afternoon. As of 3 p.m., the LPA is located 600 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora. PAGASA also said that as of 2 p.m., Tropical Storm "Wutip" is being monitored outside the Philippine area of responsibility. For now, the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is expected to affect several parts of the country in the next 24 hours. In its 4 p.m. daily weather forecast, the state weather bureau said these areas are Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro. The moderate to heavy with at times intense rains may cause flash floods or landslides. The southwest monsoon or Habagat will bring cloudy skies with rain showers over Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.
