Barcelona could complete 4 transfer deals over the next week
La Liga champions Barcelona could push no fewer than four transfers, two in and two out, over the line over the week ahead.
That's if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by.
When it comes to arrivals, the closest is Copenhagen talent Roony Bardghji, expected to land in Catalunya's capital to undergo a medical and sign his contract imminently.

And following soon after could be the marquee addition of Barcelona's summer, in Nico Williams.
The expectation is that the Blaugrana will deposit wide-man Nico's Athletic Club release clause in the very first days of July.
Turning focus to those on the way out at the Camp Nou, Ansu Fati is set to be announced as a new Monaco player at any moment, primed to make the move to France on loan with an option to buy.
And next in line to depart Hansi Flick's squad is Pablo Torre, for whom Barcelona have pencilled in a fresh round of talks with La Liga rivals RCD Mallorca this weekend.
The 22-year-old has already agreed on the terms of a four-year contract at Son Moix.

Rudy Gobert reacts to French connection in 2025 NBA Draft

The post Rudy Gobert reacts to French connection in 2025 NBA Draft appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Minnesota Timberwolves' first selection of the 2025 NBA Draft came with the No. 17 overall pick which they used on Joan Beringer from France. With the selection of Beringer, the Timberwolves now have two players of French descent on the roster. Following the news that the Timberwolves had selected Joan Beringer in the first round of the NBA Draft on Thursday, Rudy Gobert took to social media to give his reaction to the pick. During his rookie season in the NBA with the Timberwolves, Beringer will get a golden opportunity to learn from one of the best centers in the NBA. Beringer gives the Wolves an intriguing option in the frontcourt. In the ABA with Cedevita Olimpija, he appeared in 30 games last season at a little over 18 minutes per game. Advertisement Beringer averaged 4.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots with splits of 59.4 percent shooting from the field and 60 percent shooting from the free-throw line. He's still raw and developing, but he has strong defensive instincts and ability, not unlike his new Wolves teammate. Rudy Gobert was the No. 27 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz, and has become one of the premier defenders in the NBA. It's been a busy week for the Timberwolves leading up to the NBA Draft. The league recently approved the sale of the team to former MLB star Alex Rodriguez. And over the weekend, before the Houston Rockets' blockbuster trade to acquire Kevin Durant, the Wolves were reportedly very close to trading for the 15-time All-Star. This past season, the Timberwolves upset the Los Angeles Lakers in the opening round of the NBA Playoffs and dispatched the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Semifinals, before being eliminated by the eventual champion Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals. The team also has a busy free agency period on the horizon as well. Julius Randle and Naz Reid have player options on their contract while Nickeil Alexander-Walker is an unrestricted free agent. USC Commit Teases Teaming With 4-Star in Major High School Transfer

USC Commit Teases Teaming With 4-Star in Major High School Transfer originally appeared on Athlon Sports. A pair of USC commits may not need to wait until after their high school graduation to team together. That's because there's rumblings these high-profile 2026 commits will collaborate during their upcoming senior season. Advertisement Los Angeles Times high school reporter/columnist Eric Sondheimer posted Friday evening the news involving four-star defensive back commit Brandon Lockhart. Sounds like he's on his way out of Loyola High in Los Angeles. Sondheimer revealed who he could be joining ahead of the fall. "It appears USC commit Brandon Lockhart is leaving Loyola for Sierra Canyon. He's a DB and good friends with Madden Riordan, another USC commit," Sondheimer posted on X. Former USC quarterback Caleb Williams in a 2023 game at Notre Dame. Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports That would mean Lockhart leaves one Mission League school for another in crossing over to the Trailblazers. Well, Riordan teased the collaboration -- by posting an eye winking emoji in reacting to Sondheimer's post. This signals the transfer is nearing completion. And that Lockhart and Riordan are soon forming a tandem in Chatsworth. Advertisement Both were among the early verbal commits for USC. Lockhart first chose the Trojans during Oct. 2023. He's now the state of California's No. 9 ranked prospect for '26. Lockhart also ranks as the nation's No. 7 CB talent. He landed 18 total offers plus turned down Notre Dame and Georgia for USC. Riordan is another early verbal to the Trojans. He chose USC the following month during 2023. Riordan lured in 15 total offers and was courted by the likes of Stanford, Oklahoma and Texas A&M. USC DB coach Doug Belk is responsible for recruiting both DBs over to the Land of Troy. Now it looks like Riordan and Lockhart will wear one other uniform together before putting on a USC one in 2026. Inter Miami may be massive underdog to PSG, but old coach isn't overlooking Messi and Co.

ATLANTA — If Lionel Messi and Inter Miami's cast of former Barcelona stars hope to pull off one of the biggest upsets soccer may ever see against Paris Saint-Germain in the FIFA Club World Cup, they'll have to outsmart one person who may know them all the best. Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Javier Mascherano last raised the Champions League trophy together with Barcelona in 2015 under the leadership of coach Luis Enrique. Ten years later, Enrique reached the sport's mountaintop again, leading Paris Saint-Germain to its first Champions League title last month. Now, they'll reunite again on the same pitch Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium – this time as adversaries with plenty of love and respect at the forefront of their round-of-16 matchup in the Club World Cup. 'I'm sure it's going to be much more difficult than anyone can imagine,' Enrique said Saturday night before the match. 'They have the level. They have the quality. And they are winners. They're players who have won a lot throughout their careers (with) that spirit inside them they've had all their lives. 'Emotionally, it's very difficult to prepare for a game like this.' It'll be Messi's first match against PSG since leaving the French club in July 2023 to join Inter Miami. And he's leading a Major League Soccer club just five years into its existence into a match against the European champions. Inter Miami is the biggest underdog of any team in the Club World Cup round of 16. They have +1050 odds to beat PSG, the heavy favorite at -450, according to BetMGM. But Enrique isn't overlooking the opponent one bit. He knows better. Especially coaching against No. 10 on the other side. 'I had the opportunity to meet Leo Messi at the height of his career. Leo Messi's peak has lasted 10, 15 years – I don't know how long it will last,' Enrique said. 'He is the best soccer player in history – without a doubt.' Enrique still believes Messi, Suarez, Alba and Busquets are at the top of their games. He looks forward to the few moments they'll share together on the pitch Sunday, before and after the whistle is blown. 'When you give it some space and look back at what we've been through over the years, a smile appears on your face, and you want to share things again – even if it's just 10 minutes before or after the game,' Enrique said. FIFA Club World Cup: Brutal heatwave hits players and fans across America Rising PSG star Désiré Doué, a 20-year-old who scored twice in the Champions League final, is excited to face Messi and the other Barcelona legends. 'Yes, it's a special match, but it's still a soccer game,' Doué told DAZN. 'We're lucky to be able to play against one of the greatest players in history and some of the greatest players who have marked the history of soccer.' Messi's heroics will be key if Inter Miami is going to pull off an upset against PSG, which dominated Inter Milan 5-0 in the Champions League final on May 31. Messi's free-kick goal against Porto in Atlanta on June 19 is Inter Miami's defining moment in the Club World Cup to this point. It was instrumental in helping them reach the knockout stage of a tournament featuring 32 of the best clubs in the world. Some would argue Inter Miami has already peaked in the Club World Cup. They were the only MLS club to reach this point, while the Seattle Sounders and Los Angeles FC both failed to win a match during the group stage. Many don't expect them to pull off the upset on Sunday. Even they know the odds are stacked against them. 'It's clear and we're not naïve – we know that we're the weaker team, but that doesn't mean you can kill us off beforehand. We're going to fight, which is what it's all about,' Mascherano said. 'I think the nice thing about (Sunday's) match is that we've earned the right to play it. … The challenge is to come out tomorrow and test ourselves against what is possibly the best team in the world today.' Added Inter Miami defender Marcelo Weigandt: 'We are a very humble team. We try to give our all. And hopefully, God willing, tomorrow will be kind to us and we can get a good result.'
