War 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR's action-thriller struggles to reach Rs 200 crore, earns Rs...
War 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: When two big films hit the big screen on the same day, it is expected to be a storm at the box office. However, something opposite happened as Ayan Mukerji's War 2 and Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie were released simultaneously. While it was expected that both films would perform big at the box office, the opposite happened. Coolie opened with Rs 65 crore, while War 2 earned Rs 52 crore on day 1. Now, almost a week later, both films have slowed down in generating revenue. As per early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, War 2 box office collection on day 6 stands at Rs 8. 25 crore. War 2 Box Office Collection Detailed Analysis Directed by Ayan Mukerji under the YRF banner and within the YRF Spy Universe, War 2 is headlined by Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, and Jr NTR. Made on a budget of Rs 400 crore, War 2's box office collection on day 1 stood at Rs 52 crore. The numbers were not considered good because, being a pan-India release, it did not mint as much as expected, especially in the Hindi market. Following day 1, on day 2 and 3, War 2 earned Rs 57 crore and Rs 33 crore respectively. On day 2, the movie witnessed a 50 percent hike in the Hindi market as it collected Rs 44 crore. Over the next two days, the collections dropped, with the film earning Rs 32 crore on day 4 and just Rs 8 crore on day 5. Now, War 2 box office collection on day 6 stands at Rs 8.25 crore. With this, the total collection of War 2 has reached Rs 192 crore. It now seems that the film is struggling to touch the Rs 200 crore mark. War 2 Competition From Rajinikanth's Coolie In the initial days of release, War 2 and Coolie had an edge-to-edge competition, with only a marginal difference in collections. However, now, Coolie has surpassed the Rs 200 crore mark in India and is leading with a good margin. War 2 Review War 2 movie review by reads, 'The plot of War 2 is painfully predictable, the VFX are subpar, and the dialogues often border on cringeworthy. Hrithik's much-hyped mass entry and a few well-executed action scenes are the only moments worth noting.'

Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal made headlines when he attended his final divorce hearing with Dhanashree Verma wearing a T-shirt that read, 'Be Your Own Sugar Daddy.' Reacting to it, Dhanashree confessed she was taken aback. She said that if he really wanted to convey something to her, he should have done it privately instead of making it a public spectacle. Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal got married in Gurugram in 2020. They were granted divorce in March this year, Dhanashree speaks up Dhanashree has finally broken her silence, sharing her perspective on her divorce from Chahal, nearly a month after the cricketer first spoke publicly about their separation. She spoke about the divorce when she joined the podcast for Humans of Bombay on YouTube. Dhanashree revealed she had an emotional breakdown in the court during the final hearing. Looking back at the final divorce hearing, Dhanashree said, 'I still remember when I was standing there and the verdict was about to be given. Even though we were so well-prepared mentally, I got so emotional. I started howling in front of everybody. I couldn't even express what I was feeling at that point. I just remember that I just kept crying, I was just howling and crying. Of course! All of that happened, and he (Chahal) walked out first.' Chahal caught everyone's attention when he wore a T-shirt that read 'be Your Own Sugar Daddy' on the day of his final divorce hearing with Dhanashree. Dhanashree addressed the viral moment too, saying, 'You know that people are going to blame you. Before I had even known that this T-shirt stunt had happened, we were all aware that people were going to blame me for this." Dhanashree recalled seeing videos of Chahal's T-shirt after she left the court. She admitted that she was surprised by the move, saying 'Are bhai, WhatsApp kar deta. T-shirt kyun pehna hai? (You should have sent it on WhatsApp. Why wear the T-shirt?)" Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree's marriage Dhanashree and Chahal got married in Gurugram in December 2020. The two met during the Covid-19 pandemic when Chahal asked Dhanashree for dance lessons. As per their petition, they separated in June 2022. On February 5, they filed a joint petition before the family court seeking divorce by mutual consent. They were granted a divorce in March this year. When the proceeding were on, there were also murmurs that Dhanashree was seeking ₹60 crore in alimony. However, Dhanashree's family dismissed the claims by issuing a statement. The statement read, "We are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. Let me be absolutely clear—no such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered. There is no truth to these rumours whatsoever. It is deeply irresponsible to publish such unverified information, dragging not just the parties but also their families into unnecessary speculation. Reckless reporting like this only causes harm, and we urge the media to exercise restraint, fact-check before spreading misinformation, and be respectful of everyone's privacy."

‘No copyright protection for film titles': HC dismisses producer's plea
The Bombay High Court on Monday dismissed a plea filed by the producer of a 1993 Bollywood movie, Lootere, seeking to restrain the release of a web series with the same title, ruling that registering a film title with an industry body is purely a private arrangement and does not create a statutory right like copyright. In his plea filed last year, Sunil Saberwal claimed that Star India was violating his copyright by producing an eight-part web series titled Lootere for its streaming platform, Disney+ Hotstar. A single-judge bench of justice Sandeep Marne said that registrations granted by bodies like producers' associations are an internal arrangement between their members and do not have any sanctity in law. 'No statute confers right on associations of film producers to grant registration of titles or any other copyrightable works,' the bench said, while rejecting the plea filed by Sunil Saberwal, producer of the 1993 Hindi movie Lootere. The plea In his plea filed last year, Saberwal claimed that Star India was violating his copyright by producing an eight-part web series titled Lootere for its streaming platform, Disney+ Hotstar. He said that he had produced a film called Lootere, starring Sunny Deol and Juhi Chawla, among others, in 1993. The film was registered with the Registrar of Copyrights, and its title was registered with the Western India Film Producers' Association. Saberwal approached the high court last year after noticing that Star India was making a web series called Lootere. Even though the series was released on Disney+ Hotstar in May 2024, Saberwal sought its discontinuation from the streaming platform. However, Star India argued that several Hindi films with the same titles were released over the years, such as Hera Pheri, Aankhen, Dilwale, Dostana, Shandaar, and Dosti. Therefore, a mere similarity in the title cannot be a ground to claim a copyright violation, and what needs to be established is similarity in the literary works of the two films, it argued. Accepting this argument, the bench said, '...so long as the story of the two films is different, mere similarity in the title would not give rise to an actionable claim under the provisions of (the) Copyright Act.' The bench also said that the film's registration with the producers' association is a purely private arrangement, binding only on its members and has no sanctity in law. Such a contractual right cannot be enforced against a non-member, like Star India, it added.
