And a number of former Celtic and Rangers stars have been linked with the Dens Park vacancy.

Less than 24 hours after securing Scottish Premiership safety, Dundee made the bombshell decision to dismiss Docherty on Monday morning.
He left the club after two years in charge.
SunSport exclusively revealed that former Celtic star Shaun Maloney was in the frame to replace Docherty.
The former Hibs and Wigan boss looked set to land the Dundee job back in 2022 but a deal couldn't be agreed.

Celtic legend Scott Brown, currently in charge of Ayr, was installed as the early bookies' favourite for the job while ex-Rangers interim boss Barry Ferguson was also priced up at 4/1.
Another former Old Firm ace to be linked with the vacancy is David Healy.
The Northern Ireland legend had a spell with Rangers between 2011 and 2012 where he won the SPL title.
He's been Linfield manager since 2015 and has been hugely successful in the role.

Healy has led the club to six NIFL Premiership titles, the most recent of those coming in the season just gone.
The former striker, who is Northern Ireland's all-time leading goalscorer, has been linked with a number of jobs in recent years but has decided to stay with Linfield.

Healy rejected interest from Raith Rovers last year after emerging as one of the leading contenders for the Stark's Park job.
Now, he's being linked with a switch to Scotland again - this time with Dundee.

Healy himself has now broken his silence on the Dens Park job links.
Speaking to BBC Sport NI, he revealed he IS on his way to Scotland.
But he insists it has NOTHING to do with speaking to any clubs about a managerial vacancy.
Healy said: "I am going to Scotland this weekend but no (not for a job interview) and I'm not going to the Scottish Cup final."

His contract at Linfield has just one more year left to run, expiring at the end of next season.
And Healy seems confident that he'll extend that stay further.
He continued: "I'm sure I'll sit down and talk about the contract, I've been successful, and I think the club know what they're going to get out of me.
"I shouldn't see why it can't come to a conclusion, I think it has been timing and circumstances.

"I contemplated a change last summer (the Raith job) because I didn't know where I stood, but hopefully with the success this year, going forward we can build on that."

An initial £20million of investment has been promised and a share issue will follow to help raise more funds. With the Light Blues in Champions League qualifying action on July 22/23 and 29/30, the summer rebuild must start soon. We looked at how Martin could transform Rangers, in particular by recruiting trusted former players. Gers chief Stewart acknowledged there is a lot of ground to be made up on Celtic in the league, but believes Martin has arrived early enough for them to make signings before the Euro qualifiers next month. Speaking in an interview with Rangers TV, he said: 'There is a lot of hard work to be done, just to be clear. I think there always is every pre-season for Rangers because the European qualifiers come so early, so let's not shy away from that. 'That said, we have got Russell in and the transfer window doesn't open for another ten days and the first team don't return for another two weeks, so actually you could look at it glass half full and say we have got him in well in advance of those two key events. 'But let's not kid ourselves, there is a lot of hard work to be done but I know Russell is determined to get stuck into that. 'The potential of Rangers, we know it is unfulfilled at the moment. 'This is a huge club and supporters, players, management and staff, we have all been frustrated at not having achieved the heights. 'My excitement and optimism levels have definitely increased but they were always there because there is so much that is positive about this club.' Stewart was asked how Martin's experience in both Scotland and England during his career will help them in the recruitment process. He said that combining Martin's knowledge with Thelwell's contacts book should lead to positive results in the transfer market. Stewart said that they will pay close attention to the Scottish and English markets, as players there will have an understanding of the British game. But that won't stop them from scouting players further afield - the only condition being that they must ALREADY be suited to playing in Scotland, rather than trying to mould them into the finished product. He said: 'Having an understanding of the Scottish game I would say is a key factor because every league is unique and we can look at some of the fixtures that have to be played as part of the SPFL. 'Every ground has its nuances and every club has its nuances, so somebody that comes in with an understanding of that is a huge asset. 'Equally, when it comes to recruiting players having a knowledge of markets outside of Scotland and players outside of Scotland, and off-the-pitch talent outside of Scotland as well, is a huge advantage. The Aberdeen shotstopper - who has penned a pre-contract with first club Celtic - is in line to win a first cap in Vaduz. Steve Clarke was forced into a frantic search for cover after Angus Gunn limped out of Friday's defeat to Iceland after just two minutes. Untried Ciaran Slicker was thrown into action but, with just nine minutes of football under his belt in the last 22 months, froze on the big occasion and was at fault for all three goals in the 3-1 defeat. To add to Clarke's woes back-up Robby McCrorie was injured in the warm-up meaning the Kilmarnock keeper and Gunn join a lengthy goalkeeping casualty list that had already seen Craig Gordon, Liam Kelly and Zander Clark ruled out. Now Doohan looks set to join up with the squad ahead of flying out to Liechtenstein on Sunday. The 27-year-old made 18 appearances for the Dons last season and was capped right through the youth ranks up to U-21 level where he made 13 appearances. Bournemouth kid Callan McKenna has also been training with the squad. But the 18-year-old former Queen's Park keeper will likely just be cover. Speaking after Friday's defeat Clarke said: "It's difficult for Cieran. I feel for him. "He got thrown into a situation where he maybe wasn't quite ready for it. But Craig's injured, Liam Kelly's injured, Zander Clark was injured. "I mentioned back in March that it was something I thought might come back to bite us. The only good thing is it came in a friendly match. "For sure I'll try and call up another goalkeeper. I've had young Callan McKenna who's just turned 18-years of age, training with us and he'll travel. I'll see if I can find another one somewhere in Scotland that's not on holiday."
