Three top hotels yards from Bournemouth beach being used as migrant accommodation sparking fury from tourists & locals

THREE huge hotels near one of Britain's favourite beaches are being used as accommodation for asylum seekers during the peak summer season. Holidaymakers in Bournemouth say they are fed-up at forking out thousands of pounds while illegal migrants are put up for free 200 metres from the seafront. 9 9 9 9 The hotels — all within walking distance of Bournemouth's seafront — have been closed to the paying public for more than a year. Home Office officials have taken over the 79-room Chine Hotel, the 102-room Roundhouse Hotel and 123-room Britannia Hotel. Around one million visitors book hotel stays in Bournemouth every year and there are fears the arrival of any more migrants in the Dorset town could severely damage its £1.3billion tourism industry. And this week there was anger among paying holidaymakers. Retired great-grandmother Susan Beacham, 70, of Cheltenham, Gloucs, forked out £1,400 for a week's stay with her daughter at the Hampton by Hilton near the town centre. 'Scared to walk around' She told The Sun: 'I don't think they should be in hotels like that if they've come here illegally. "That they're on the seaside makes me cross. It makes me scared to walk around at night when we've paid so much to come somewhere nice. 'If they're trying to escape a warzone, then I understand why genuine asylum seekers would come here. "But the hotels for people who aren't here legally are a waste of money, especially if they cross from France, because it's a safe country. 'The billions on this are taking away money from the NHS — which I need because I haven't been well.' First migrants detained under Starmer's 'one-in-one-out' deal with France as MORE boats arrive in UK Stewart Brown, 34, and Philip Finch, 75, from Cambridge, said putting an asylum hotel by the seaside could scare off young families. PE teacher Stewart said: 'It doesn't sit nicely with me. We've spent about £1,200 to come here. Before I came down, my dad made me aware of the asylum hotels. 'I think if you were staying around there you might feel uneasy about it, especially if you have young children. 'I suppose if you start seeing reviews saying that the crime rate around this area is increasing, I think it would be blocking people coming into the area on holiday.' Bournemouth — along with the rest of the country — is paying the price for Labour's massive failures Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp Retired grandfather Peter Morris, 76, on holiday from Peterborough, said: 'I don't agree with people coming over but they have to go somewhere. It's not good. They're expensive hotels. "The amount we're spending is a big number. You'd think those in power would always go for the cheapest option.' Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp told The Sun: 'Bournemouth's tourist trade is being put at risk by the Government. 'There are now more illegal immigrants in hotels than when Labour came to office and this year so far has been the worst ever for Channel crossings. 'Labour promised to smash the gangs and end hotel use. 'Both promises lie in tatters and Bournemouth — along with the rest of the country — is paying the price for Labour's massive failures.' 9 Earlier this year local Labour MP Tom Hayes blasted the situation, telling Parliament: 'Bournemouth hotels cost the taxpayer eye-watering sums and everyone is stuck in a situation that nobody wants.' The Bournemouth Area Hospitality Association told The Sun that the Government's choice to use hotels in the town for asylum seeker accommodation was 'disappointing'. But hotelier Rosie Radwell, who is chair of the BAHA, claimed: 'Bournemouth and the South Coast remain a wonderful destination for visitors, and holidaymakers should rest assured of high standards and a warm welcome.' Yesterday The Sun caught an asylum seeker working as a Just Eat delivery rider near to one hotel — despite Labour promising a crackdown on illegal working. The Chine boasts a sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool but it is understood the amenities were closed when migrants arrived. It now has a security guard at the entrance and parking spaces coned off for bikes suspected to be used by illegal workers. A nearby apartment owner said: 'There have been knife fights, armed police outside. I think this will ruin tourism for so many, which is what the town relies on.' 9 9 Volunteer group Safeguard Force plans to start patrols next week to tackle violence and anti-social behaviour. Dorset Police said it was not endorsed by the force and must operate within the law. A Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council spokesman said: 'The council carefully monitors the use of asylum hotels and the impact on our services, community safety and the local economy.' The region's Destination Management Board said: 'Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole have over 450 hotels and guesthouses. Only three are currently under government contract to accommodate asylum seekers. 'The wider conurbation remains fully open for tourism, events and business, with strong bed availability, vibrant hospitality and a thriving local economy.' The Government said: 'From over 400 asylum hotels under the previous government, there are now fewer than 210, and we want them all closed by the end of this Parliament.' 'DINGHY SALES MR BIG' NICKED AN alleged international trafficking kingpin charged with selling rubber dinghies to migrant gangs was nicked on his way to a boat show. Adem Savas faces up to 15 years accused of shipping thousands of inflatables and life-jackets from China to Turkey. The Turk, 44, was nicked when he flew into Amsterdam for a boat show after a long probe by British, Belgian and Dutch cops. His case was adjourned by a Belgian court yesterday. 9

I'm a single mum-of-3 who earns £1.4k a month & still goes on multiple holidays – people swear I must secretly be on UC

EVERY parent knows how tricky it can be to afford a family holiday every year, especially when you're not raking in much cash. But this mum has revealed she takes her three young boys on multiple sunny getaways each year, despite only working 16 hours per week. 2 2 The single mum of three recently took to TikTok to explain how she manages to afford it all - and it all comes down to a few simple rules. In the viral video she explained that, despite what some trolls might think, she doesn't claim any Universal Credit, or any other form of benefits for the matter, except basic child benefits. "I don't have a rich husband, I don't have any husband. And I don't live at home with my parents either, we've got our own place," she explained. So what's the mum's big secret? It all comes down to keep bills and daily expenses as low as possible. The money-saving mum said she scrimps and saves to be able to afford the holidays with her sons, and will buy a lot of stuff second hand from places like Facebook Marketplace. Not only that, but she said she buys clothes cheap from the likes of Vinted and charity shops. And when they're not on holiday, the mum will find free or cheap activities to keep her three sons occupied. "It's all about sacrifices," she said, "we don't get takeaways often, we don't have Netflix or Amazon prime, or other subscriptions. I don't smoke, I don't drink a lot, I don't go to Starbucks." The family don't always jet off for their holidays though and instead enough a caravan break in the UK, the mum said she manages to do this thanks to The Sun's holiday deals. We visited £500,000 attraction opened in time for school hols "You can get them literally as cheap as £9.50 per person," she said. Even you you wouldn't usually consider a caravan holiday, the mum urged parents to give it a go and noted there are a lot of nice ones around by beaches for kids to enjoy. And when it comes food, the cheaper the better too, as she often managed to make family meals for under £2.50 thanks to her savvy shopping skills. But the mum said she doesn't have a strict budget she sticks to because it's a total mindset for her. Going on holiday is also a priority for the mum, since she was able to travel before having kids and wants to give her little ones the same experience. Even her sons are in on the money-saving mindset and would prefer a day out to a new toy, she explained. "I know some people are struggling and won't be able to do this, but if you can cut your expenses and afford to be able to go on holiday I 100% recommend it," the mum added. After sharing her money-saving tips online, other parents chimed in to praise her efforts. One said: "I get this constantly as well, I never go out, don't smoke or drink. It's so easy to do as long as you don't waste your money." Another wrote: "I thought I was good on a budget until I worked with a girl who really worked on budget. It's definitely about adjusting your mindset." "Good for you," someone else commented, "we go away two or three times a year but I budget like crazy and memories are forever." Cancer survivor wins £1m EuroMillions prize after battling illness

A single father from Norfolk, who recently battled bowel cancer, captured the heartwarming moment he revealed his £1 million lottery win to his son, sparking an emotional celebration in their kitchen. Paul Harvey, 51, of Attleborough, a full-time dad, has endured an unsettling two years undergoing treatment for his bowel cancer. Now, with his newfound fortune, Mr Harvey plans to treat his two teenage children to their first foreign holiday together, with Greece as the chosen destination. He also intends to purchase a Fiat 500 for his daughter, who is currently learning to drive. Reflecting on his journey, Mr Harvey stated: "Life hasn't always been easy, but the kids mean the world to me, and they always come first." He added: "We have never been away abroad together, and I would love to take them both to Greece. But first, we need to get our passports." Mr Harvey filmed the moment he broke the news of his win to his son after he returned home from school. With his voice cracking with emotion, Mr Harvey asked his son: 'How many millionaires do you know?' His son, whose details he is keeping private, said 'zero, I've got not money', and Mr Harvey swore and told him: 'You do now.' His son said: 'Shut up, you're joking, you're lying.' Mr Harvey replied: 'On my life, a million pounds, mate.' The pair then excitedly hugged, laughed and jumped around the kitchen. 'I wanted to tell the kids in person so when my son got home, I set up my phone to record it,' said Mr Harvey. 'I got a massive lump in my throat as I asked him, 'how many millionaires do you know?'' Mr Harvey also plans to help his son and daughter as they near the end of their full-time education. 'I am so proud of what the kids have achieved already in life,' he said. 'They both have big ideas about what they want to do when they leave school, and I cannot wait to help them in their chosen careers. 'It's the important stuff like helping them to learn to drive and getting them a car and insurance so they can get to college and then work. 'My daughter has a driving test later this year and I would love to get her a second-hand Fiat 500 for her to practise in.' Mr Harvey entered the EuroMillions draw on July 4 but did not realise he had won the life-changing sum until a week later. He got an email from the National Lottery urging him to check his account and get in touch urgently, which he initially thought was a scam. He won by matching the unique raffle code in the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker draw. 'It felt like forever waiting for the kids to get home from school so I could break the news,' he said. 'Their reactions were hilarious and heart-warming. 'We all feel ridiculously excited and relieved in equal measure. 'It just doesn't seem real.' Mr Harvey, who previously lived in Cyprus, said: 'We can afford our very own home, and I can finally have my own bedroom rather than sleeping downstairs. 'And to go on a family holiday altogether will be fantastic. 'I can speak Greek fluently and I can't wait to show off to the kids. 'I lived in Cyprus for 12 years when I was younger. 'I would love to go back one day but for now it's a holiday in Greece for me and the kids. 'This win gives us so many more options, but I want to take my time and do it right.'
