Double test for Scotland women v France
The matches at Peffermill Playing Fields on Saturday, July 26 (11.30am) and Sunday, July 27 (11.15am) see Borders-born Olympian, Sarah Robertson, return as captain with fellow Olympians, Amy Costello and Charlotte Watson, plus Jessica Buchanan, who was travelling reserve for the Paris Games, also in the 18-strong squad.
There is also a training game on Thursday 7.45pm and tickets are available on the day.
Chris Duncan, Scotland's head coach, admitted it has been a long year for the group, following the robust preparation period over winter for the Nations Cup in Chile in which Scotland finished fifth overall with victories over Japan, Canada and Korea.
He added: 'The bounce and enthusiasm which came as a result of our performances in Chile has carried through over the last few months, and I believe we have had great preparation for this competition (the European Championship).'
Edinburgh-based Duncan added: 'The team has continued to develop, and showed great hunger to continually develop our own style.
'There is no doubt that the EuroHockey Championships are a tough tournament, with opposition ranked three, seven, and eight in the world in our qualification pool, but we are excited to test our ability against these teams.
'We look forward to the test and the opportunity to show the hockey world what we are capable of.'
Scotland open their campaign in Monchengladbach against arch rivals England on August 10 (10:15), followed by Spain on 11 August (13:30) and their final pool game sees the Tartan Hearts in against Belgium on 13 August (12:15) before the crossover matches which determine the final placings.

Meanwhile, current boss Martin has vowed he is not finished in his summer rebuild. A host of new faces have arrived with latest recruit Oliver Antman enjoying a stunning debut in front of the Ibrox faithful. Fellow winger Djeidi Gassama has also settled in nicely and netted four goals in the qualifiers already. Martin also explained the latest with Mikey Moore while also touching on the injured Hamza Igamane. He said: " [Mikey} Moore is just not there, there are a lot of protocols we need to go through for under-18s. "Hamza missed two weeks with visa issues, and picked up a small injury in first game, so we are building him back up to avoid any injuries. He is a great lad and just needs to get fully fit. "We are not finished yet and we will look to add to the squad in the next few weeks." We're only a week in and we've had chat of board ultimatums, leaked teams, the Old Firm being split, a European revolution from our Scottish teams and a Dundee United fan falling down a flight of stairs three football has delivered already, but what will week two have in store?Let's take a gander at the weekend's Premiership talking points. Game of weekend - Aberdeen v Celtic (Sun, 12:30 BST) Celtic started their title defence last week against St Mirren - the team who held them to a draw in the final game of the last Premiership this time overcome the stubborn Buddies thanks to a late goal, Brendan Rodgers' side will next hope to also gain some kind of revenge over the team who denied them a domestic treble in the season's finale at Celtic, the Scottish Cup winners are playing only their second match of the season. The first ended in a 2-0 defeat by Heart of had headed to Edinburgh with their fans believing they had strengthened thanks to Jimmy Thelin's summer rebuild. Celtic, on the other hand, arrive at Pittodrie with some among their support suggesting their squad is, if anything, weaker than the one which lost in that Scottish Cup the Hampden penalty shoot-out win apart, Aberdeen's record against Celtic is fairly horrendous and they had not beaten the Glasgow side in their 30 previous team were ruthless at Pittodrie on their last visit in May - their second 5-1 scoreline against the Dons in a row and their second win there in Celtic have not lost in 17 visits to Aberdeen since a 2-1 defeat in February 2016 and, despite the cup final setback and questions about summer recruitment, will be favourites to win their opening away league game for a fourth successive season.
