Gardai & family ‘concerned for wellbeing' of missing Dublin teen, 13, last seen on weekend as area of interest revealed
GARDAI are asking for the public's help in locating a missing teenage boy as his family is "concerned for his wellbeing".

The 13-year-old was last seen around 5pm in Tallaght.
Cops believe that Eoghan may have travelled to the Coolock,
Eoghan is described as being around 5 feet in height with a slim build.
And he has brown hair and blue eyes.

A garda spokesperson said: 'Gardai are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 13-year-old Eoghan O'Reilly who is reported missing from the Springfield area of Tallaght, Dublin 24 since the evening of Sunday 8th June 2025.
"He was last seen in the area at approximately 5pm.

MISSING MAN
Separately, gardai have issued an appeal for a missing man from Tipperary.
Dylan Carroll, 23 years-old, was reported missing from his home in Cashel, Co. Tipperary yesterday.
Dylan is described as being 6'4 with a thin build with fair hair and blue eyes.

He was wearing a blue suit, white shirt and runners when last seen.
Cops and Dylan's family are concerned for his well-being.
A garda spokesperson said: 'Anyone with information on Dylan's whereabouts is asked to contact Tipperary Garda Station on 062 80670, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.'

American woman, 40s, killed after hit by car in Antrim named as person arrested at scene & being quizzed by cops
AN American woman has died after a single-vehicle collision in Northern Ireland. Police said that pedestrian Allison Eichner, aged in her 40s and from Connecticut, died after the crash in the Causeway Road area of Bushmills on Wednesday. 1 A woman from the United States has died in a crash in Antrim Credit: PA:Press Association A person was arrested as part of the police response. Detective Inspector Cherith Adair said: 'Police received and responded to a report of a collision shortly before 12.30pm. 'Colleagues from the emergency services also attended the scene. 'A female pedestrian aged in her 40s was taken to hospital by colleagues from the emergency services, however she sadly died from her injuries. 'Detectives from the Collision Investigation Unit are conducting enquiries to establish the circumstances of the collision, and would ask anyone who might have information which could assist to get in touch. Hurley-wielding man who went to confront another man is met with hatchet
At Kilrush District Court, Judge Alec Gabbett told west Clare man, Nathan Downes 'put the hurley away and call the Gardai the next time' A judge has commented 'hatchet trumps hurley' after hearing that a 22 year old man who went to confront another man at his home armed with a hurley was met by the man armed with a hatchet. At Kilrush District Court, Judge Alec Gabbett told west Clare man, Nathan Downes 'put the hurley away and call the Gardai the next time'. Judge Gabbett told Mr Downes of St Michael's Place, Kilmihil in west Clare that 'taking the law into your own hands is not ideal'. In the case, Mr Downes pleaded guilty to producing a hurley in the course of a dispute outside a house at Doonagurroge, Killimer in west Clare contrary to Section 11 of the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act on January 19th 2024. Giving an outline of the case against Mr Downes, Sgt John Burke said that Mr Downes was in dispute with another man and on arriving at his home waved the hurley around unlawfully. Sgt Burke said that the incident was captured on CCTV and that Mr Downes has no previous convictions. Solicitor for Mr Downes, Patrick Moylan said that there was a background to the incident. He said: 'Mr Downes's father had been accosted earlier by this person. Mr Downes's father is very ill. He has COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and uses a nebuliser five times a day.' Mr Moylan said that Nathan Downes 'took the unwise route of going to the man's home and verbally accosted the man at this house'. Mr Moylan said that this man was a far more serious person than Mr Downes had bargained for and the CCTV showed the person at the house with a hatchet. Mr Moylan said that Mr Downes did have a hurley in his possession at the house and has pleaded guilty to that offence. In response, Judge Gabbett remarked: 'Hatchet trumps hurley.' Mr Moylan said that his client apologises. This is your first chance-last chance. If you take me seriously, you won't be back.'
