This decision wasn't made lightly, as our dedicated team of volunteers poured their hearts and souls into planning this event.
'We understand how much 'Mont Fest' means to our community, and it's truly disheartening to have to take this step. Unfortunately, without the necessary support, we can't go ahead with the event.
'Refunds will be issued to all ticket holders, and we appreciate your patience during this process. Thank you to everyone who showed interest and support. We're determined to learn from this experience and hope to come back stronger in the future!'
The festival, which was set-up after the Covid-19 pandemic, was organised by Egremont Rangers who ran the first Mont Fest in 2021.
It was hugely popular and saw over 450 people attend.
A member of 'Mont Fest' management committee Chloe Ann Pascoe said: 'I'm really gutted we have had to cancel 'Mont Fest'. It's frustrating to see all the hard work go to waste, but unfortunately, we just didn't receive the support we needed. Thank you to everyone who was involved.
'Once again on behalf of the Management committee we would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and reiterate both our heartbreak and disappointment in having to deliver this information to you all.
'Whilst also thanking everyone who has supported us. Ultimately it wasn't to be this year but we now regroup and move forwards.'

Taboo Season 2: Release date speculation, cast and plot details – Everything we know so far
By Aman Shukla Published on June 15, 2025, 17:30 IST Last updated June 15, 2025, 12:58 IST Fans of the gritty BBC period drama Taboo have been eagerly awaiting news of Season 2 since the show's explosive first season aired in 2017. Starring Tom Hardy as the enigmatic James Keziah Delaney, Taboo captivated audiences with its dark storytelling, complex characters, and 19th-century London backdrop. With Season 2 officially confirmed, here's everything we know so far about the release date, cast, plot, and more. Taboo Season 2 Release Date Speculation As of June 2025, no official release date for Taboo Season 2 has been announced. However, recent updates provide some clues. Tom Hardy confirmed in March 2025 that the scripts are actively being written, stating, 'We're writing that at the moment' in an interview with LADBible. Producer Steven Knight previously told Collider in 2021 that six of the eight planned episodes were written, with production delays largely due to Hardy's busy schedule and the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming has not yet started, but if production begins in late 2025 or early 2026, a release could be expected in late 2026 or early 2027. Taboo Season 2 Expected Cast The only confirmed cast member for Taboo Season 2 is Tom Hardy, reprising his role as James Keziah Delaney. Hardy, who co-created the series with his father, Chips Hardy, and Steven Knight, remains deeply invested in the project. While no other actors have been officially confirmed, several key characters from Season 1 are expected to return based on the story's conclusion: Jessie Buckley as Lorna Bow, Delaney's stepmother. Tom Hollander as George Cholmondeley, the chemist and ally. Stephen Graham as Atticus, the loyal underworld figure. Edward Hogg as Michael Godfrey, the East India Company clerk. Taboo Season 2 Potential Plot Taboo Season 1 ended with James Delaney and his crew sailing toward America after a bloody confrontation with the East India Company. Season 2 is expected to follow their journey westward, exploring new themes and settings. Steven Knight has teased that the show will become 'more narcotic, more opium-affected' as it heads west, with a focus on the mysterious American spy network 'Colonnade.' This suggests a deeper dive into espionage and political intrigue. Where to Watch Taboo Season 2 When released, Taboo Season 2 will air on BBC One in the UK and FX in the US, following the first season's distribution. Season 1 is currently available on Netflix, BBC iPlayer, and for purchase on DVD/Blu-ray, suggesting Season 2 may eventually stream on these platforms. This one question turned Daniel Mac into an online star overnight
A video about what expensive car owners do for a living took the internet by storm and started one online influencer's lucrative content-creation career. Daniel Macdonald, known as "Daniel Mac" across social media platforms, spoke with Fox News Digital about how he became an internet sensation by inquiring about what people on the streets do for a living. "It was during COVID and I walked up to somebody in an Audi R8 and I asked them what they did, I posted a video and my first video got like 40 million views just right off the bat," Macdonald said. He continued to post similar videos and, a week later, had one million followers. "It was kind of like an untapped market of people that were interested in a little bit of comedy, but also in figuring out how they could also get wealthy too. It was like the boom of kind of financial, on-the-street interview-style content," Macdonald said. Along with interviewing supercar owners, he has also interviewed owners of yachts, watches, and other luxury items. Macdonald described his niche as asking what luxury owners do for a living in order to get an insight into how these people became wealthy. When he started producing content, he didn't realize that there was also an opportunity to make money from content creation outside of YouTube. Then a few months later, Macdonald started receiving deals, recalling, "I did my first brand deal with Helen Mirren for 'Fast and Furious.' And that was like six months after I posted my first video." One big check surprised Macdonald, and was the start of his full-time content creation career. "The money was really interesting too. I remember, the first check that actually made me consider quitting my job was from Snapchat. And I remember looking at it and thinking it was a misprint, but the amount was basically my annual salary for a month. And that's when I realized that this is actually something that can be really lucrative." He then quit his 9-5, which he described as "really scary," and moved to Los Angeles. The leap of faith paid off and now Macdonald has met many celebrities and continues to post content to his social media pages that each have millions of followers and subscribers. "Every day, I'm like, this is the dream job. I can't even believe it's a reality," he said. Macdonald shared what he learned from interviewing wealthy people. "I think that's something that a lot of younger people need to hear is that you really don't need to have your job figured out because most of these wealthy people did 10 different things before they got wealthy that I interviewed." Additionally, Macdonald added that many wealthy people are not flashy and maintain a low profile. "It's actually a lot harder for me to get interviews out of people that are on that top, top level because they don't want to flex," he said. Macdonald concluded that he believes his platforms are encouraging other young people to get out of their comfort zone. "I get people to get out of the house and get out of their comfort zone, kind of like I do," he said. Watch Daniel Mac on "Fox & Friends" on June 17 at 8:50 a.m. ET.
