Jordan and Browne take Friday Armoy road race wins
Northern Ireland rider Jordan overhauled early leader Michael Sweeney to win the seven-lap Supertwins race one by 5.5 seconds from the Republic of Ireland competitor, with both of the top two riding Aprilia machines.
Sweeney had led during the early part of the race but Jordan made his move on the approach to Armoy village on lap three and extended his advantage at the front with the help of a new class lap record of 100.694mph on his fourth lap, eclipsing Jamie Coward's one-year-old benchmark.
For Jordan, who was also a Twins race winner at the North West 200 in May, it was a second victory of his career at the Armoy meeting, the Magherafelt man having previously been successful in a Supersport outing back in 2018.
Joe Yeardsley overtook Barry Furber on the final circuit to claim the final podium spot as Joey Thompson and Marcus Simpson completed the top six.
Browne repeated his triumph in last year's Supersport race one by taking a dominant win in this year's equivalent.
Riding his BPE by Russell Racing Yamaha, the Cork rider consolidated his position at the front throughout and had 6.4 seconds to spare over runner-up Sweeney at the chequered flag.
Third-placed finisher, Jackson Racing pilot Jordan, was a similar margin behind Sweeney as he finished in third position, with Conor Cummins taking fourth place on the Burrows Engineering/RK Racing Ducati.
Coward and event newcomer and former BSB rider Franco Bourne rounded out the top six.
Browne produced the fastest lap of the race at 104.074mph on his fifth circuit as he collected his fifth Armoy race win to add to his three Moto3 victories and that 2024 Supersport success.
Earlier in the day, Jordan topped qualifying for Saturday's Open and 'Race of Legends' events by recording a lap speed of 106.324mph on his Jackson Honda.
Browne was second quickest on another Honda at 106.087, followed by Manxman Cummins on a BMW with 105.249.
Browne was fastest in Supersport qualifying on 102.018, while Jordan headed the Supertwin session with 100.577.
Twelve further races are scheduled to take place on Saturday, with roads closing around the three-mile circuit at 09:00 BST.
Saturday's racing will be streamed live on BBC iPlayer and worldwide on the BBC Sport website.

Croft Circuit set to welcome biggest meeting of the season
Croft Circuit welcomes the biggest meeting of the season when rounds 16, 17, and 18 of the 2025 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship take place at the North Yorkshire circuit this weekend (August 2 to 3 August). Two days of top-class, wheel-to-wheel action begin on Saturday when the UK's leading car series heads north following the previous round at Oulton Park last month and a brief summer break. NAPA Racing UK's Ash Sutton leads the series in his Ford Focus ST, arriving at Croft following his fourth victory of the season at Oulton Park. The four-time BTCC champion holds a slender ten-point advantage over Tom Ingram in his Team VERTU Hyundai 130N, who also won last time out to record a second win of 2025. Yorkshireman Dan Cammish heads to his home round in third position, where the NAPA Racing UK Ford Focus ST driver from Leeds can count on the local support as he goes in search of adding to his single victory so far this season, which came at Snetterton. Teammate Daniel Rowbottom is in fourth place ahead of defending champion Jake Hill in the Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport BMW 330i M Sport, both of whom are among the amazing ten different winners so far this season heading into Croft. Expect plenty of local backing for two other Yorkshiremen in the field: Daniel Lloyd from Huddersfield in the Restart Racing Hyundai 130N, and Driffield's Senna Proctor in his Team VERTU Hyundai 130N. As well as BTCC action over three races on Sunday, there is action from three supporting classes throughout the weekend with plenty of local interest. In the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain, Scorton driver Max Coates, who lives just five miles from the track, leads the ProAm class in his Duckhams Yuasa Racing by Graves Motorsport 911, whilst in the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE, Durham's Max Edmundson and Selby driver Harry Campey will be hoping for success in the JCW class, whilst Will Crooks from Whitby goes in the JCW Sport class. The final round of the Legends Cars Elite Cup takes place at Croft with six races for the popular and spectacular five-eighths scale racers. Local hopes are carried by Gosforth's Mark Beaty in his 1934 Ford Coupe in a field containing American ace Trevor Krouse. On Saturday, the action starts at 9.30am with free practice for the BTCC followed by a packed day of qualifying and the first of four races starting at 11.30. Fans can get up close to the racing stars on Sunday morning when a pitlane walkabout takes place at 10.30am with a chance to meet the drivers, before the action commences at 12.10 with the first of the BTCC races followed by the remaining eight races. Lewis Hamilton's Next Race Car Should Be Electric
If you've never heard of Formula E, you're not alone. The single-seater motorsport championship for electric vehicles completed its 11th season in London at the weekend, with TAG Heuer Porsche winning the team championship. In terms of large international sporting tournaments, it's still just a baby. But it's growing up fast and, even as climate action faces headwinds, the future looks bright. A decade ago, the races arguably did more to highlight the pitfalls of battery-powered vehicles than showcase their potential. The cars were slow by racing standards – topping out at a mere 140 miles per hour (225 km/h), almost 100 mph slower than a petrol-powered Formula One race car. Halfway through the race, drivers had to swap cars because the batteries could only last around 20 minutes. As recently as December 2023, an article in Road & Track criticized the motors' relative lack of power compared with commercial EVs.
