Fake phone calls, planted leaks and genetic profiling: How Mossad plotted assassinations of Iran leaders
Amir Ali Hajizadeh, IRGC Aerospace Force commander, and his deputies were allegedly lured to a Mossad-arranged meeting, where a single missile strike killed them all read more Commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Major General Hossein Salami and commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, Amir Ali Hajizadeh, visit an underground of the new 'missile city' at an undisclosed location in Iran, in this picture obtained on January 11, 2025. Reuters A month after the war with Iran ended, fresh details are surfacing about Israel's targeted assassinations of senior Iranian officials and the severe damage inflicted on the Islamic Republic. Iran International, an opposition-linked outlet, in one of its reports has described the events as 'one of the most unusual security and military defeats of the modern era.' Mossad allegedly lured Hossein Salami to assassination site The report claimed that Israel's Mossad intelligence agency leaked the date of an attack through an agent close to Hossein Salami, the IRGC commander, to draw him to a preplanned assassination site. It further revealed that Amir Ali Hajizadeh, IRGC Aerospace Force commander, and his deputies were lured to a Mossad-arranged meeting, where a single missile strike killed them all. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The fake phone call inviting them was reportedly so convincing that they rushed to attend the 'meeting'. Assassination of Ali Shadmani Mossad's deep infiltration into the lives of Iranian officials enabled the assassination of Ali Shadmani, who succeeded Gholam Ali Rashid as commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, just four days after Rashid's death. Iran International reported that Mossad tracked Shadmani using a sophisticated operation, obtaining a DNA sample digitally and employing AI-based facial recognition and genetic profiling. Malware planted in Tehran's security cameras located him in the Zaferania neighbourhood, where he was killed by a drone strike on June 27. In another counterintelligence operation, the head of IRGC intelligence, Mohammad Kazemi, and two deputies were killed after an agent lured them to a safe house in Kurdbacheh alley. Israeli forces delayed the strike until a nearby kindergarten was empty, hitting the house 10 minutes later, killing Kazemi and his deputies. The site's proximity to two kindergartens and a girls' school also raises questions about the Revolutionary Guards' potential use of civilians as human shields. Iran's communications minister reported on Tuesday that the country faced over 20,000 cyberattacks during the war. 'In many cases, we managed to counter the attacks,' he stated. Meanwhile, Iranian spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani reported 1,062 deaths during the conflict with Israel, including 102 women and 38 children.

Iran refuses to abandon uranium enrichment after Israel-Iran war, cites ‘national pride'
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said Tehran cannot abandon its uranium enrichment program despite serious damage to its nuclear infrastructure following the recent Israel-Iran war. Speaking to Fox News on Monday, Araghchi described enrichment as a core achievement and a matter of national pride. 'It is stopped because, yes, damages are serious and severe. But obviously we cannot give up enrichment because it is an achievement of our own scientists,' Araghchi said. 'And now, more than that, it is a question of national pride.' While acknowledging the extensive destruction of Iranian nuclear facilities from US and Israeli strikes, Araghchi emphasised Iran's continued capacity to pursue enrichment. 'The technology is there. The scientists are there. The people who have run these facilities are there,' he said. 'Buildings can be rebuilt. Facilities can be rebuilt. Machines can be replaced.' When asked about Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium, Araghchi said he had 'no detailed information' on whether it was destroyed in the attacks. Araghchi firmly rejected any demand from the United States to curtail Iran's missile program or to halt its support for regional armed groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. 'They are fighting for a just cause, and we have always supported them,' he said. 'On our missiles… that is our most reliable means of defense. How can we disarm ourselves? Who can [Iran] accept anything like that? So, we will never disarm ourselves.' While ruling out direct dialogue 'for the time being,' Araghchi said Tehran remains open to talks with Washington. Prior to the recent war, the two sides had held five rounds of nuclear negotiations mediated by Oman, but failed to agree on limits to enrichment. 'If the goal is to make sure that Iran will never have nuclear weapons, that is achievable,' he said. 'But if the goal is to deprive Iran from its rights, including the right of enrichment, I think we have difficulty.' The 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran in June began with Israeli airstrikes on June 13, prompting retaliation from Tehran and subsequent US attacks on Iranian nuclear sites. A ceasefire was reached in late June. Despite the destruction, Araghchi claimed the conflict proved that military action cannot halt Iran's nuclear ambitions. 'I think the recent attack proved that there is no military option for our nuclear program.' Iran remains a signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). The UN nuclear watchdog has said it has 'no credible indication' of an active weapons program in Iran. Tehran insists its nuclear efforts are exclusively for civilian use. Israel, widely believed to possess nuclear weapons, has said its goal is to prevent Iran from ever acquiring one.

Hunter Biden blasted as ‘delusional' for profanity-filled rant against Trump deportations, ‘He really lives in a bubble'
Hunter Biden ripped Donald Trump as a 'f—ing dictator thug' for his move to deport violent illegal immigrants to an El Salvadorian prison complex. During a lengthy interview with Andrew Callaghan, Hunter even mused about invading the Latin American country if he were in office. Hunter Biden blasted as 'delusional' for profanity-filled rant against Trump deportations (AP Photo/Eric Thayer, File)(AP) 'I would pick up the phone and call the president in El Salvador and say, you either f—ing send them back or I'm going to f—ing invade,' Hunter said. 'It's a f—ing crime what they're doing.' Hunter went on to slam Democrats for appeasing what he referred to as the 'f—ing Trumpian sense' of white voters. He also ripped Americans who made illegal immigration a major issue during the presidential election in 2024. 'People are really upset about illegal immigration? F— you. How do you think your hotel room gets cleaned? How do you think you have food on your f—ing table? Who do you think washes your dishes?' Hunter raged. 'Who do you think is here by the f—ing shear f—ing just grit and will that they figured out a way to get here because they thought that they could give themselves and their families a better chance and [Trump's] somehow convinced all of us that these people are the f—ing criminals,' he added. 'How do you think that we are reborn?' During his term as the US President, Joe Biden had significantly eased up on illegal immigration, leading to a huge border crisis. Polls showed that this issue negatively affected Biden and his party, according to the New York Post. However, Hunter raged against those calling for Democrats to moderate. 'White men in America are 45 more times likely to commit a f—ing violent crime than an immigrant,' Hunter said. 'And the media says, you got David Axelrod and Rahm f—ing Emanuel — so f—ing smart Rahm Emanuel … that we got to understand that these people are really mad and we got to appeal to these white voters.' Hunter also said that his father was the only person who appealed to 'those f—ing white voters,' not because the former president did not appease 'their f—ing Trumpian sense, but because he challenged it.' 'How do you think that we are reborn? How do you think that we think that we attract the smartest people in the world to the United States of America? Through immigration,' he added, contrasting the US with China and Russia. 'Spoken like a true elitist' Hunter has been criticised for his profanity-filled rant by social media users. 'Why isnt Hunter Biden in prison yet?' one user commented on the above video. Another user wrote, 'Spoken like a man who lives out of hotel rooms, doesn't cook or provide for himself (or anyone else) or wash his dishes. Which I guess is the target audience and ultimate goal for Democrats.' 'Why is Hunter suddenly the spokesman for the service industry? Last I checked, his expertise was in "art" sales and foreign board seats, not dishwashing. Sounds like deflection,' one user wrote, while another said, 'I didn't realize you had to be an illegal to be an employee. Is he on drugs? Oh wait….' 'Literally never had anyone do any of that stuff for me. He really lives in a bubble,' one user wrote, while another said, 'Spoken like a true elitist. The average American never rents a hotel room, makes their own food and washes their own dishes.' 'Hunter Biden's entitlement is off the charts! The fact he thinks migrants are here to serve him is pathetic and delusional. Most of us actually cook our own food, clean our own homes, wash our own dishes, and even plant our own gardens. Reality check needed,' wrote a user. Another said, 'It's very telling that certain people perceive illegal immigrants as nothing above a servant — as if that's their only value or purpose.'
