Bengaluru: Tired Of App-Hopping During Your Commute? Namma Transit Brings It All Together

It's currently available to a limited set of users but will be made public to all within a week, according to company updates.
In a move to ease Bengaluru's daily traffic chaos, ride-hailing app Namma Yatri has launched Namma Transit.
The update comes as the city's average travel time has shot up by 16 percent in the past year, with commuters now taking over an hour to cover just 19 kilometres, as per Hindustan Times.
What is Namma Transit?
Namma Transit is a new option inside the Namma Yatri app that helps users plan their trips by combining different travel modes—like the metro, auto-rickshaws, and cabs—all on one platform. Instead of switching between multiple apps or guessing the best route, users will get real-time step-by-step navigation tailored to Bengaluru's tricky traffic patterns.
Currently, this feature is available to a limited number of users, but a full rollout is expected within a week.
In Bengaluru, every commute has its rhythm. Catching the Metro, juggling between apps and hoping everything lines up. We have all been there. That's why we built Namma Transit, to make daily travel a little simpler, more affordable, and a lot less stressful. With Namma Transit,… pic.twitter.com/UQ2IRhpYh6

How Does It Work?
The feature provides detailed travel guidance—telling users which metro station to head to, which gate or platform to use, and when to change modes. It's built to make public transport not just easier, but smarter.
The idea, say co-founders Magizhan Selvan and Shan MS, is to make mobility feel like 'magic" instead of a chore.
Why It Matters
This initiative supports the city's wider push towards eco-friendly and efficient transport. By improving first- and last-mile connectivity, Namma Transit hopes to cut reliance on private vehicles and encourage more citizens to use public transport.
