UC Berkeley Professor Shot and Killed in Greece During Custody Visit
Przemyslaw Jeziorski, a faculty member at Berkeley's Haas School of Business for eight years, was killed on July 4 outside a residence near Athens, where his ex-wife and two children live. He was reportedly in the country to attend a child custody hearing. No arrests have been made so far.
Jeziorski's death has deeply shaken the UC Berkeley community and beyond. His brother, Lukasz Jeziorski, shared on the fundraising platform WhyDonate:
'Our family is heartbroken, and we are doing everything we can to ensure that justice is served.
Przemek was a loving father to two young children and a beloved professor at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. He was a leading scholar in marketing science, industrial organization, and data analytics. He loved teaching and sharing his passion for the intricacies of marketing analytics and marketing science with his students.'
Lukasz also noted on Facebook that their father passed away just last month, adding to the family's grief. The family hopes to move Przemyslaw's remains to Poland.
Berkeley Haas Dean Jennifer Chatman issued a statement expressing the school's sorrow:
'We are heartbroken by news of the tragic and sudden death of Professor Przemyslaw Jeziorski, a beloved member of our marketing faculty and Haas community. While authorities are investigating what happened, our focus is on supporting our community during this difficult period. My heart goes out to Przemek's family and loved ones. We will miss him.'
Authorities in Greece are continuing their investigation.

Donnarumma is a solid handler of the ball and can use his quick reflexes to make a few important saves at the back for his team. He usually puts his foot through the ball when being chased down by the opposition attackers. The Italian sensation can be a safe pair of hands in between the sticks and is also a tidy passer of the ball from the back. However, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Mancunian club manage to bring him on board this summer. Donnarumma would no doubt enhance the quality of Man United head coach Ruben Amorim's backline.
