Report – Bologna Evaluate Swap Deal With Fiorentina Involving Italy Midfielder Despite Inter Milan Buyback Clause
Bologna could offer Giovanni Fabbian to Fiorentina as part of a swap deal to take Riccardo Sottil to Stadio Renato Dall'Ara. Per Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, Vincenzo Italiano's men are plotting a complicated exchange to sign the Italian winger. Advertisement Giovanni Fabbian has been in and out of Italiano's starting line-up. Furthermore, Inter can still activate a €12 million buyback clause to bring the 22-year-old back to the San Siro. However, Inter's indecisiveness may return to haunt them, with Bologna drawing plans of their own. (Photo by) Italiano appreciates Sottil, who had a rough six-month loan at AC Milan in the second half of last season. Meanwhile, Fiorentina are open to letting their winger go this summer. Yet, Sottil won't go cheap, hence Bologna's plan to include Fabbian as a counterpart to avoid splashing the cash. Advertisement Bologna's interest in the Italian forward probably stems from the uncertainty surrounding the future of Riccardo Orsolini. Formerly linked with Inter, Orsolini could depart Emilia-Romagna in the coming months, with Milan keen to acquire his services.

Report – Inter Milan Willing To Sacrifice Italy Midfielder In High-Profile Swap Deal With Lazio To Replace Hakan Calhanoglu
Report – Inter Milan Willing To Sacrifice Italy Midfielder In High-Profile Swap Deal With Lazio To Replace Hakan Calhanoglu Inter Milan and Lazio could arrange a massive swap deal that would see Davide Frattesi and Nicolo Rovella shift allegiances. Per Il Messaggero via FCInter1908, this complex exchange would see Inter replace the exit-linked Hakan Calhanoglu. Advertisement Galatasaray have recently accelerated their quest to sign the 31-year-old playmaker. Therefore, the Serie A runners-up are frantically searching for replacements. Nicolo Rovella has quickly emerged as a perfect candidate, but taking him away from Stadio Olimpico could prove rather complicated. As such, Beppe Marotta must reach out for his bag of tricks again. Inter Milan & Lazio Considering Swap Deal Involving Davide Frattesi & Nicolo Rovella MILAN, ITALY – FEBRUARY 25: Hakan Calhanoglu of FC Internazionale celebrates scoring his team's second goal with teammate Davide Frattesi during the Coppa Italia Quarter Final match between FC Internazionale and SS Lazio at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on February 25, 2025 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by) With Lazio insisting on Rovella's €50 million release clause, Marotta has to be creative. Indeed, Inter cannot afford such a hefty figure amid an ongoing effort to sign Ange-Yoan Bonny and Rasmus Hojlund. Advertisement Therefore, a swap deal could be a solution, with Davide Frattesi likely to fall victim to Inter's pursuit of Calhanoglu's heir. Rovella has been outstanding in Rome, and the Biancocelesti are understandably against his sale. Furthermore, there's a reasonable skepticism over the club's ability to find a suitable replacement for the 23-year-old. However, this way, Lazio would get a proven midfielder in return.

Report – Inter Milan & Lazio Considering Swap Deal Involving Two Italy Star Midfielders
Davide Frattesi and Nicolo Rovella could be subjects of a high-profile swap deal between Inter Milan and Lazio. Per Il Messaggero via FCInterNews, the two Serie A giants could engineer a blockbuster exchange this summer. Advertisement Inter are seemingly bracing up for life after Hakan Calhanoglu. Heavily linked with a transfer to Galatasaray, the 31-year-old could soon end his four-year association with the Nerazzurri. Therefore, Beppe Marotta is in the market for midfield reinforcements. Inter Milan & Lazio Contemplate Swap Deal Involving Davide Frattesi & Nicolo Rovella ROTTERDAM, NETHERLANDS – MARCH 05: Davide Frattesi of FC Internazionale during the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Round of 16 first leg match between Feyenoord and FC Internazionale Milano at De Kuip on March 05, 2025 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. (Photo by) Nicolo Rovella is Inter's top target to replace the former AC Milan playmaker. However, his substantial €50 million release clause remains a huge roadblock. As such, Marotta has come up with a shrewd plan to overcome this obstacle. Indeed, Inter would offer Davide Frattesi in exchange for the 23-year-old to avoid breaking the bank. Advertisement Yet, there's a catch. Frattesi earns around €2.8m net per season at the San Siro, which is €1m more than Rovella's wages in Rome. At the very least, Lazio president Claudio Lotito sees this as a fair deal, as he puts Rovella on a par with the ex-Sassuolo star.
