Big Spring PD still searching for shooting suspect
BIG SPRING, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The Big Spring Police Department continues its search for a shooting suspect.
According to the department, around 1:30 p.m. on March 13, officers with Big Spring PD responded to 911 call about a shooting that happened at a convenience store located at 4th and Circle. Through an investigation, Big Spring PD identified the shooter as 21-year-old Clifford Anglin and requested a warrant for his arrest; he's been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Anglin remained at large as of April 1. Anyone with information on where Anglin can be found has been asked to call Crime Stoppers at 432-263-8477 and reference case number 2-25-00600. You may also submit your anonymous tip online or by using the P3 TIPS mobile app. If your tip leads to an arrest, it could be worth a cash reward.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — The Crime Stoppers of Sangamon and Menard counties are looking for more information on a shooting that happened earlier this week. On June 1 at around 3 a.m., the Springfield Police Department responded to a report of shots fired near the 1700 block of E Cook St. The female victim who was a passenger in a vehicle was shot and taken to a local hospital where she was treated for non life-threatening injuries. Elderly driver killed in crash at US 87 and Brian Road in Howard County
HOWARD COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- An 85-year-old man was killed and a woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Howard County. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened around 3 p.m. on June 3 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 87 and Brian Road. 85-year-old William F. Smith of Big Spring was driving a 2024 Volkswagen Jetta southbound on US 87 when he began slowing to make a left turn onto Brian Road. Preliminary findings indicate Smith failed to yield the right of way at the open intersection and was struck by a northbound 2012 Buick Regal. Smith, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Buick Regal, 38-year-old Chelsey M. Yarbar, also of Big Spring, was taken to Scenic Mountain Medical Center with what officials described as minor injuries. She was also wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
