IBM, a big tech giant in the world, has eliminated around 8,000 jobs within the Human Resources (HR) Department, according to a media report. It claimed that AI has taken over it, according to media report. The 'repetitive' jobs like approving vacation requests, managing payroll or other company documentation will now be handled by AI systems, like the AskHR platform. The AskHR platform is already managing 94% of the routine tasks that were done by humans in the HR department. Even paperwork, documentation is done by AI. IBM can now save billions of dollars as they don't have to pay salaries to the staff. Kindly note that they are not decreasing their workforce. T hose who work in creative areas, critical thinking, human skills or in software, marketing and sales still have jobs. Despite everything, IBM's CEO, Arvind Krishna, has stated that AI is only there to help them and that they're using human talent for projects.
