In a regulatory filing on July 28, the company informed that it has raised ₹500 crore from funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management L P (Oaktree).
It will provide growth capital for Omaxe's ongoing projects across key markets such as New Chandigarh, Lucknow, Ludhiana, and Faridabad, along with flagship developments like Omaxe state in Dwarka, the upcoming integrated township in Amritsar, and a new township project in Indore, to name a few, the company said.
The funding will strengthen the company's core and accelerate delivery timelines for residential, commercial, and public-private partnership (PPP) developments, including its infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects, it said.
'This partnership with Oaktree marks an important milestone in Omaxe's growth journey. The confidence that a global investor like Oaktree places in our business is a reflection of the strength of our delivery record and our long-term vision. This Fund infusion enables us to move faster on construction, reduce market dependence, and strategically invest in new opportunities that align with our core markets,' said Mohit Goel, Managing Director, Omaxe Ltd.
'We have taken meaningful steps to strengthen our balance sheet and improve financial flexibility in the last few years, repaying significant debt while delivering consistent sales growth and creating easily monetisable projects funnel. With no immediate liability to repay, most of the funds would be used for faster execution and create additional headroom to explore expansion in select markets. We would like to thank team Oaktree, for partnering with us in this growth journey,' said Atul Banshal, director, finance, Omaxe Ltd.
In the last two financial years, Omaxe has repaid net Rs. 1285 crore to lenders as principal payment, reducing overall net debt to ₹300 crore. The company sold properties over Rs. 3000 crore in FY25.
Earlier on July 28, Omaxe said it has raised ₹431 crore through the issue of debentures on a private placement basis for business growth. The company informed that its subsidiary, Omaxe New Chandigarh Developers Pvt Ltd, has raised ₹431 crore by issuance and allotment of 43,100 non-convertible debentures (NCDs) of face value ₹1 lakh each through a private placement basis.

UER-II Inauguration Live Updates: PM Modi to open Urban Extension Road-II shortly, now reach Noida to Delhi Airport in just…

PM Narendra Modi New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two major road projects: the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) and the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway today, following which reaching Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport from Noida will become much easier. According to a India Today report, these new stretches are expected to reduce travel time from Noida to IGI Airport to just 20 minutes. At present, commuters from Noida to IGI Airport face journeys of over an hour, often longer during rush hour. With UER-2 and the Dwarka Expressway in place, the same trip is expected to take around 20 minutes. The UER-II is a 76-kilometre corridor billed as Delhi's new 'outer ring road.' The expressway runs from Alipur to Mahipalpur near the airport. Built at a cost of about Rs 7,716 crore, the 4-to-6 lane highway links Mundka, Bakkarwala, Najafgarh and Dwarka. It also connects to major routes like Delhi-Chandigarh, Delhi-Rohtak, and Sonipat. UER-II Inauguration Live Updates

Pitched as of one of largest luxury hotels in city, DDA awards first project under revamped licencing policy

In a major boost to its revenue generation strategy, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has awarded the first project under its new Special License Property (SLP) initiative to Fleur Hotels Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels. The landmark project is expected to generate approximately Rs 10,000 crore over a 55-year period, the planning and development agency said on Saturday. The project involves the development of a five-star hotel on a 2-acre land parcel in Nehru Place and is the first to be awarded under DDA's revamped land licencing policy. Under the awarded project, Fleur Hotels will develop 'Aurika' at Nehru Place, envisioned as one of Delhi's largest luxury hotels, featuring over 500 rooms. Lemon Tree Hotels currently operates more than 110 properties across over 75 cities in India and aims to bring its upscale brand experience to the Capital through this venture, said the hotel chain/. 'DDA had invited bids through a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued on May 2, 2025, for a 2-acre land parcel in Nehru Place earmarked for a five-star hotel. The bidding process, conducted on August 13, saw Fleur Hotels secure the project with an annual licence fee offer of Rs 27.19 crore—about 50% higher than the reserve price of Rs 18 crore,' DDA said in a statement. The move signals a significant shift in DDA's land disposal policy — from the conventional freehold and perpetual lease models to a long-term development model based on annual licencing. 'Reforms set into motion last year by Lt Governor VK Saxena have yielded spectacular results in terms of revenue generation for the DDA, even while facilitating much-needed developments in the Capital,' the statement added. Officials said that the Rs 10,000 crore revenue projection includes annual fee escalations over the 55-year term. 'This new model is expected to significantly boost DDA's income while facilitating key infrastructure development across hospitality, healthcare, logistics, and retail sectors,' the statement highlighted.

‘Investment in future of Delhi': CM thanks PM Modi for construction of UER-II

Ahead of the inauguration of Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) on Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for its construction. 'UER-II is not just an infrastructure project… It is an investment in the future of Delhi. It will improve traffic flow, cut travel time drastically, and uplift the quality of life for lakhs of people living in Delhi and NCR,' the CM asserted. The UER-II, the CM underlined, will emerge as the backbone of high-speed connectivity, linking Delhi not just with the National Capital Region (NCR) but with the entire country. Travelling to Chandigarh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Jaipur and even Mumbai will become faster and more convenient. It is truly a 'transformative' project for the people of Delhi and beyond, Gupta said. The CM made the remarks as she visited the inauguration site, along with senior officials and party leaders, to review the preparations for Sunday's event. Describing the project as a 'historic gift' for the city, Gupta said that the commencement of UER-II will not move Delhi closer to becoming a 'traffic-free' Capital. She added that the corridor will play a vital role in reducing congestion, lowering vehicular pollution and thereby contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment. 'The pressure on Inner and Outer Ring Roads will be substantially reduced, while major junctions such as Mukarba Chowk, Madhuban Chowk, Peeragarhi Chowk, Dhaula Kuan and NH-9 will no longer face heavy congestion. This will be a huge relief for lakhs of daily commuters,' the CM said. Gupta said that the corridor will begin at National Highway-44 (Alipur), traverse through Mundka, Bakkarwala, Najafgarh and Dwarka, and terminate at National Highway-48 near Mahipalpur. It is also expected to reduce travel time between Singhu Border to the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport from two hours to 40 minutes. The project will link to the industrial hubs of Sonipat and Bahadurgarh through dedicated link roads, giving a direct boost to industry and facilitating faster movement of goods, the CM highlighted. 'With smoother traffic flow and shorter travel time, fuel consumption will decrease significantly, contributing to lower emissions. The UER-II will directly aid in reducing air-pollution levels and improving the overall environment of the capital,' she underlined. A statement from the Prime Minister's office underlined that PM Modi will inaugurate two major National Highway projects worth a combined cost of nearly Rs.11,000 crore — the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway and the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II).
