The meeting about Lenzie Academy, scheduled on June 12 between 4pm and 8pm, will be open to the public and held at the school.
East Dunbartonshire Council said in a Facebook post: "It will be held in the school and all are welcome.
"Check out the project page on our website https://orlo.uk/UzZAm for more details about what to expect and how to have your say."
On its website, the council described Lenzie Academy as "East Dunbartonshire's only legacy secondary school" and a "strategic priority for renewal" in its Capital Investment Plan.
As the project to rebuild the school is a major planning application, the council said a total of three consultations will be held, with the third and final event on June 12 for the general public.

Another chance to view plans for new Bishopbriggs cemetery

The council said a new cemetery is needed as the existing Cadder Cemetery nears the end of its operational life. An initial engagement session was held in April to outline the proposals. East Dunbartonshire Council has now arranged another drop-in event to share the feedback and offer more information. This will take place on Thursday, May 29, between 3pm and 7.30pm at Bishopbriggs Library and Community Hub. The council said in a Facebook post: "If you can't make the drop in there's still a chance to view the initial proposals, find out more and give your feedback by visiting the consultation page and survey via the link in the comments before the end of Thursday 5 June."

Chance to view proposals for new cemetery near Glasgow

The existing Cadder Cemetery in Bishopbriggs is approaching the end of its operational lifespan and requires a replacement, according to East Dunbartonshire Council. The local authority is proposing to develop an area of land for this purpose to the south of Kirkintilloch Road (A803) bordered on its western edge by Cole Road. A drop-in event about the proposals is being held tomorrow (Thursday, April 24) from 3pm to 7.30pm at Bishopbriggs Library and Community Hub on Kirkintilloch Road. A spokesperson for the council said: 'Based on the current burial rate, a new cemetery will be required to replace it by 2030. "The Burial and Cremation (Scotland) Act 2016 states that each local authority must provide at least one burial ground within the area of the local authority. 'East Dunbartonshire Council therefore has a statutory obligation to provide one or more burial grounds.' The proposal is for the development of a cemetery with a mixture of burial types, soft and hard landscaping, new access, vehicle/cycle parking, biodiversity enhancements and associated development. The proposed site is roughly 14.3 hectares in size and is largely arable farmland with a glacial meltwater channel to the south. The meltwater channel is a geological feature carved out by meltwater from a retreating glacier, which according to the council will be protected with no area of it developed. The drop-in event, organised by the local authority's Cemeteries Team, will give residents an opportunity to view the initial proposals, find out more and give their feedback. 'Experts will be on hand to answer questions and provide further details on the plans and drawings that are being proposed to help the council deliver additional cemetery space for East Dunbartonshire,' explained the spokesperson. Those who cannot make the drop, can view the initial proposals, find out more and give feedback by visiting the consultation page and survey before Thursday, May 1. A second drop-in event will take place on Thursday, May 29 from 3pm to 7.30pm at Bishopbriggs Library and Community Hub, where feedback will be provided on the views gathered during this first event. A report will then be prepared, which will be submitted in support of the planning application. To view the consultation page and survey click here.
