The new Spurs boss said of Bissouma: 'He has been late several times and this latest time was one too many .
"There has been a consequence for this trip and then I will follow-up when I get home.
"The captain will be announced for the squad tomorrow."
Bissouma was left at home as the rest of his Tottenham teammates travelled to Udine, Italy for tomorrow's battle.
His absence now raises questions over his future, with the 28-year-old having just a year left on his contract.
Bissouma joined Spurs from Brighton for £30million in 2022 and has since clocked up 100 appearances.
However, he started just one pre-season match under Frank against Luton Town.
And the arrival of Joao Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich could now see Bissouma's spot in the side gone for good.

Joe Gomez returns to Liverpool training ahead of Friday's Premier League opener

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez has returned to training ahead of Friday's Premier League opener at home to Bournemouth in a timely boost for head coach Arne Slot. The 28-year-old, the club's longest-serving current player, returned home from the tour of the Far East early with an Achilles injury and was subsequently sidelined for three weeks. But he was pictured with the rest of his team-mates on Wednesday as preparations ramp up for the defending champions' season opener at Anfield. His absence had left Slot with just two senior centre-backs in Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate and questions had been asked as to whether the Reds boss had left himself light in that area after allowing Jarell Quansah to join Bayer Leverkusen. However, moves are progressing for Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi and Parma's 18-year-old Giovanni Leoni, which would bring better balance to the squad.

'Udinese move is the perfect step for Lennon's development'

Lennon Miller's move to Udinese offers the perfect environment for the teenage midfielder to continue his rise in the game, according to his dad Lee. The 18-year-old completed his move to the Serie A side this week, with Motherwell receiving a club record £4.5m for a player who came through their youth academy. Miller leaves Fir Park after 76 appearances for Motherwell, having made his debut just days after his 16th birthday and already having played twice for Scotland. His impressive performances saw him linked with a move to a bigger club from an early age but he and his family felt it was important for him to get regular first team football and continue developing until the time was right. Lennon's dad Lee knows the game well from over 20 years as a professional player with Aberdeen, Dundee United, Falkirk and others, and has been there to advise his son every step of the way. He says the move to Italy is a huge step and while it's tough for a parent to see their son move away, it's the best possible move. 'It's tough,' Lee Miller told STV. 'It's tough but we know that he needs to do this and he needs to kick on and and go experience a different culture, a different lifestyle, a different way of playing. 'I mean, come on, this was a fantastic opportunity for him to go there and kick on in his career.' Every transfer window in the past couple of years has brought links with big name clubs and Lee admits there were bigger names than even Udinese interested but the club felt right from the moment things got serious. He believes the city is an ideal place to get on with the work required to improve his game. 'I'm not gonna get into obviously the details, but there was a few really interested,' Lee said. 'My wife, Lennon's stepmum, and Lennon went over three weeks ago and were sold on it. 'It's a perfect place environment for him to go and develop. It's a quiet city where you can just knuckle down. 'No distractions. Knuckle down, get on with his business and hopefully take his career to the next level. 'And they were sold on the facilities. The stadium is hosting the PSG v Spurs Super Cup. 'It's 'wow, a cracking stadium and a cracking training ground. 'He's in a great place for his career.' With a few teams vying for his signature, Udinese felt like the right choice and Lee said that a bigger team wouldn't necessarily have been better at this point. 'It's one of them where you get a feel for things,' he said. 'They've always been there, they've always been interested. 'There's the manager, he really likes the sporting director, and everybody about the place. It's a real feel-good factor about the club itself. 'He just felt, as well as us, that it was the perfect step. 'Sometimes in careers ,you can go too far. You can go to bigger steps and there were big clubs interested. 'But in my opinion, it wouldn't have been the right move for him and he agreed with that as well. 'I've always kind of been on the same page with that and where his next step is and I think this is going to do him well.' Football Manager: FM26 first look drops after months of silence

Football Manager fans have had a fresh look at the latest instalment in the ever-popular series, following the cancellation of last year's was shelved after developer Sports Interactive told players it had made the "difficult decision" to cancel as it was "too far away from the standards you deserve".In their statement, the makers added that they were putting "every effort" into the next now dropped a first look on their socials, much to the excitement of players. The clip very prominently advertises that "not all footage appears in-game", with commentator Peter Drury's voice heard saying: "The wait has been long. The build-up impossible to ignore. So much has changed, but that feeling? It never left."It ends with the words "Guess who's back?" and promises a "match day first look" will be "coming soon". Fans are, unsurprisingly, ecstatic, with many taking to the comments to share their hype. The game first launched in 2004 and usually has a new edition annually. FM25 was due for release in November 2024 before being delayed and later a blog post in February, developer Sports Interactive announced the cancellation, and confirmed it would now shift focus to the 2026 version of the game, with fans who had pre-ordered the cancelled release being offered a refund. The object of the game is to step into the shoes of a manager, pick a team, and - hopefully - lead them to victory. Sports Interactive had promised a range of upgrades to the game's visuals and interface in FM26, while also introducing women's teams for the first to Newsbeat previously, the developer said it had to build a new stats database and record new motion-capture sequences for female players.
